1 L os cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios, y el extendimiento denuncia la obra de sus manos.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows and proclaims His handiwork.

2 U n día emite palabra al otro día, y una noche a la otra noche declara sabiduría.

Day after day pours forth speech, and night after night shows forth knowledge.

3 N o hay idioma ni lenguaje donde no es oída su voz.

There is no speech nor spoken word; their voice is not heard.

4 E n toda la tierra salió su hilo, y al cabo del mundo sus palabras. En ellos puso tabernáculo para el sol.

Yet their voice goes out through all the earth, their sayings to the end of the world. Of the heavens has God made a tent for the sun,

5 Y él, como un novio que sale de su tálamo; se alegra, como un gigante, para correr el camino.

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; and it rejoices as a strong man to run his course.

6 D e un extremo de los cielos es su salida, y su curso hasta la extremidad de ellos; y no hay quien se esconda de su calor.

Its going forth is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the ends of it; and nothing is hidden from the heat of it.

7 ¶ La ley del SEÑOR es perfecta, que convierte el alma; el testimonio del SEÑOR es fiel, que hace sabio al pequeño.

The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the person; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

8 L os mandamientos del SEÑOR son rectos, que alegran el corazón; el precepto del SEÑOR es puro, que alumbra los ojos.

The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure and bright, enlightening the eyes.

9 E l temor del SEÑOR es limpio, que permanece para siempre; los derechos del SEÑOR son verdad, todos justos.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 D eseables son más que el oro, y más que mucho oro afinado; y dulces más que miel, y que licor de panales.

More to be desired are they than gold, even than much fine gold; they are sweeter also than honey and drippings from the honeycomb.

11 T u siervo es además amonestado con ellos; en guardarlos hay grande galardón.

Moreover, by them is Your servant warned (reminded, illuminated, and instructed); and in keeping them there is great reward.

12 L os errores, ¿quién los entenderá? De los encubiertos me libra.

Who can discern his lapses and errors? Clear me from hidden faults.

13 D etén asimismo a tu siervo de las soberbias; que no se enseñoreen de mí; entonces seré perfecto, y estaré limpio de gran rebelión.

Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then shall I be blameless, and I shall be innocent and clear of great transgression.

14 S ean gratos los dichos de mi boca y la meditación de mi corazón delante de ti, oh SEÑOR, roca mía, y redentor mío.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
