1 D ios es conocido en Judá: Dios, en Israel es grande su nombre.

In Judah God is known and renowned; His name is highly praised and is great in Israel.

2 Y en Salem está su tabernáculo, y su habitación en Sion.

In Salem also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place is in Zion.

3 A llí quebró las saetas del arco; el escudo, y la espada, y la guerra. (Selah.)

There He broke the bow’s flashing arrows, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah!

4 I lustre eres tú; y fuerte, más que los montes de caza.

Glorious and excellent are You from the mountains of prey.

5 L os fuertes de corazón fueron despojados; durmieron su sueño, y nada hallaron en sus manos todos los varones fuertes.

The stouthearted are stripped of their spoil, they have slept the sleep; and none of the men of might could raise their hands.

6 P or tu reprensión, oh Dios de Jacob, el carro y el caballo fueron adormecidos.

At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

7 ¶ Tú, terrible eres tú: ¿Y quién parará delante de ti, en comenzando tu ira?

You, even You, are to be feared! Who may stand in Your presence when once Your anger is roused?

8 D esde los cielos hiciste oír juicio; la tierra tuvo temor y quedó quieta,

You caused sentence to be heard from heaven; the earth feared and was still—

9 C uando te levantaste, oh Dios, al juicio, para salvar a todos los mansos de la tierra. (Selah.)

When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek and oppressed of the earth. Selah!

10 C iertamente la ira del hombre te acarreará alabanza; tú reprimirás el resto de las iras.

Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; the remainder of wrath shall You restrain and gird and arm Yourself with it.

11 P rometed, y pagad al SEÑOR vuestro Dios todos los que estáis alrededor de él; traed presentes al que merece temor.

Vow and pay to the Lord your God; let all who are round about Him bring presents to Him Who ought to be feared.

12 C ortará él el espíritu de los príncipes; terrible es a los reyes de la tierra.

He will cut off the spirit of princes; He is terrible to the kings of the earth.
