1 B ueno es alabarte, oh Jehová, Y cantar salmos a tu nombre, oh Altísimo;

It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High,

2 A nunciar por la mañana tu misericordia, Y tu fidelidad cada noche,

To show forth Your loving-kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night,

3 E n el decacordio y en el salterio, En tono suave con el arpa.

With an instrument of ten strings and with the lute, with a solemn sound upon the lyre.

4 P or cuanto me has alegrado, oh Jehová, con tus obras; En las obras de tus manos me gozo.

For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works; at the deeds of Your hands I joyfully sing.

5 C uán grandes son tus obras, oh Jehová! Muy profundos son tus pensamientos.

How great are Your doings, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep.

6 E l hombre necio no sabe, Y el insensato no entiende esto.

A man in his rude and uncultivated state knows not, neither does a fool understand this:

7 C uando brotan los impíos como la hierba, Y florecen todos los que hacen iniquidad, Es para ser destruidos eternamente.

That though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to be destroyed forever.

8 M as tú, Jehová, para siempre eres Altísimo.

But You, Lord, are on high forever.

9 P orque he aquí tus enemigos, oh Jehová, Porque he aquí, perecerán tus enemigos; Serán esparcidos todos los que hacen maldad.

For behold, Your adversaries, O Lord, for behold, Your enemies shall perish; all the evildoers shall be scattered.

10 P ero tú aumentarás mis fuerzas como las del búfalo; Seré ungido con aceite fresco.

But my horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.

11 Y mirarán mis ojos sobre mis enemigos; Oirán mis oídos de los que se levantaron contra mí, de los malignos.

My eye looks upon those who lie in wait for me; my ears hear the evildoers that rise up against me.

12 E l justo florecerá como la palmera; Crecerá como cedro en el Líbano.

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 P lantados en la casa de Jehová, En los atrios de nuestro Dios florecerán.

Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 A un en la vejez fructificarán; Estarán vigorosos y verdes,

they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and verdure.

15 P ara anunciar que Jehová mi fortaleza es recto, Y que en él no hay injusticia.

to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
