1 H abló Jehová a Moisés en el desierto de Sinaí, en el tabernáculo de reunión, en el día primero del mes segundo, en el segundo año de su salida de la tierra de Egipto, diciendo:

The Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai in the Tent of Meeting on the first day of the second month in the second year after they came out of the land of Egypt, saying,

2 T omad el censo de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres, con la cuenta de los nombres, todos los varones por sus cabezas.

Take a census of all the males of the congregation of the Israelites by families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, head by head.

3 D e veinte años arriba, todos los que pueden salir a la guerra en Israel, los contaréis tú y Aarón por sus ejércitos.

From twenty years old and upward, all in Israel who are able to go forth to war you and Aaron shall number, company by company.

4 Y estará con vosotros un varón de cada tribu, cada uno jefe de la casa de sus padres.

And with you there shall be a man from each tribe, each being the head of his father’s house.

5 E stos son los nombres de los varones que estarán con vosotros: De la tribu de Rubén, Elisur hijo de Sedeur.

And these are the names of the men who shall attend you: Of Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;

6 D e Simeón, Selumiel hijo de Zurisadai.

Of Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;

7 D e Judá, Naasón hijo de Aminadab.

Of Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;

8 D e Isacar, Natanael hijo de Zuar.

Of Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar;

9 D e Zabulón, Eliab hijo de Helón.

Of Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon;

10 D e los hijos de José: de Efraín, Elisama hijo de Amiud; de Manasés, Gamaliel hijo de Pedasur.

Of the sons of Joseph: of Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud; of Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;

11 D e Benjamín, Abidán hijo de Gedeoni.

Of Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni;

12 D e Dan, Ahiezer hijo de Amisadai.

Of Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;

13 D e Aser, Pagiel hijo de Ocrán.

Of Asher, Pagiel son of Ochran;

14 D e Gad, Eliasaf hijo de Deuel.

Of Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel;

15 D e Neftalí, Ahira hijo de Enán.

Of Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan.

16 E stos eran los nombrados de entre la congregación, príncipes de las tribus de sus padres, capitanes de los millares de Israel.

These were those chosen from the congregation, the leaders of their ancestral tribes, heads of thousands in Israel.

17 T omaron, pues, Moisés y Aarón a estos varones que fueron designados por sus nombres,

And Moses and Aaron took these men who have been named,

18 y reunieron a toda la congregación en el día primero del mes segundo, y fueron agrupados por familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres por cabeza, de veinte años arriba.

And assembled all the congregation on the first day of the second month, and they declared their ancestry after their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names from twenty years old and upward, head by head,

19 C omo Jehová lo había mandado a Moisés, los contó en el desierto de Sinaí.

As the Lord commanded Moses. So he numbered them in the Wilderness of Sinai.

20 D e los hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres por cabeza, todos los varones de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

The sons of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, head by head, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go to war:

21 l os contados de la tribu de Rubén fueron cuarenta y seis mil quinientos.

Those of the tribe of Reuben numbered 46, 500.

22 D e los hijos de Simeón, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, fueron contados conforme a la cuenta de los nombres por cabeza, todos los varones de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those numbered of them according to the number of names, head by head, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go to war:

23 l os contados de la tribu de Simeón fueron cincuenta y nueve mil trescientos.

Those of the tribe of Simeon numbered 59, 300.

24 D e los hijos de Gad, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go to war:

25 l os contados de la tribu de Gad fueron cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos cincuenta.

Those of the tribe of Gad numbered 45, 650.

26 D e los hijos de Judá, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all able to go to war:

27 l os contados de la tribu de Judá fueron setenta y cuatro mil seiscientos.

Those of the tribe of Judah numbered 74, 600.

28 D e los hijos de Isacar, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all able to go to war:

29 l os contados de la tribu de Isacar fueron cincuenta y cuatro mil cuatrocientos.

Those of the tribe of Issachar numbered 54, 400.

30 D e los hijos de Zabulón, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de sus nombres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all able to go to war:

31 l os contados de la tribu de Zabulón fueron cincuenta y siete mil cuatrocientos.

Those of the tribe of Zebulun numbered 57, 400.

32 D e los hijos de José; de los hijos de Efraín, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Joseph: the sons of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all able to go to war:

33 l os contados de la tribu de Efraín fueron cuarenta mil quinientos.

Those of the tribe of Ephraim numbered 40, 500.

34 Y de los hijos de Manasés, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all able to go to war:

35 l os contados de la tribu de Manasés fueron treinta y dos mil doscientos.

Those of the tribe of Manasseh numbered 32, 200.

36 D e los hijos de Benjamín, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all able to go to war:

37 l os contados de la tribu de Benjamín fueron treinta y cinco mil cuatrocientos.

Those of the tribe of Benjamin numbered 35, 400.

38 D e los hijos de Dan, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all able to go to war:

39 l os contados de la tribu de Dan fueron sesenta y dos mil setecientos.

Those of the tribe of Dan numbered 62, 700.

40 D e los hijos de Aser, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all able to go to war:

41 l os contados de la tribu de Aser fueron cuarenta y un mil quinientos.

Those of the tribe of Asher numbered 41, 500.

42 D e los hijos de Neftalí, por su descendencia, por sus familias, según las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all able to go to war:

43 l os contados de la tribu de Neftalí fueron cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos.

Those of the tribe of Naphtali numbered 53, 400.

44 E stos fueron los contados, los cuales contaron Moisés y Aarón, con los príncipes de Israel, doce varones, uno por cada casa de sus padres.

These were numbered by Moses and Aaron, and the leaders of Israel, twelve men, each representing his father’s house.

45 Y todos los contados de los hijos de Israel por las casas de sus padres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra en Israel,

So all those numbered of the Israelites, by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, able to go to war in Israel,

46 f ueron todos los contados seiscientos tres mil quinientos cincuenta. Nombramiento de los levitas

All who were numbered were 603, 550.

47 P ero los levitas, según la tribu de sus padres, no fueron contados entre ellos;

But the Levites by their fathers’ tribe were not numbered with them.

48 p orque habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:

For the Lord had said to Moses,

49 S olamente no contarás la tribu de Leví, ni tomarás la cuenta de ellos entre los hijos de Israel,

Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number in the census of the Israelites.

50 s ino que pondrás a los levitas en el tabernáculo del testimonio, y sobre todos sus utensilios, y sobre todas las cosas que le pertenecen; ellos llevarán el tabernáculo y todos sus enseres, y ellos servirán en él, y acamparán alrededor del tabernáculo.

But appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its vessels and furnishings and all things that belong to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings, and they shall minister to it and encamp around it.

51 Y cuando el tabernáculo haya de trasladarse, los levitas lo desarmarán, y cuando el tabernáculo haya de detenerse, los levitas lo armarán; y el extraño que se acercare morirá.

When the tabernacle is to go forward, the Levites shall take it down, and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up. And the excluded who approach the tabernacle shall be put to death.

52 L os hijos de Israel acamparán cada uno en su campamento, y cada uno junto a su bandera, por sus ejércitos;

The Israelites shall pitch their tents by their companies, every man by his own camp and every man by his own standard.

53 p ero los levitas acamparán alrededor del tabernáculo del testimonio, para que no haya ira sobre la congregación de los hijos de Israel; y los levitas tendrán la guarda del tabernáculo del testimonio.

But the Levites shall encamp around the tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath upon the congregation of the Israelites; and the Levites shall keep charge of the tabernacle of the Testimony.

54 E hicieron los hijos de Israel conforme a todas las cosas que mandó Jehová a Moisés; así lo hicieron.

Thus did the Israelites; according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so they did.
