1 P rofecía, palabra del Señor acerca de Israel. El Señor que extiende los cielos, pone los cimientos de la tierra y forma el espíritu del hombre dentro de él, declara:

The burden or oracle (the thing to be lifted up) of the word of the Lord concerning Israel: Thus says the Lord, Who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him:

2 “ Yo haré de Jerusalén una copa de vértigo para todos los pueblos de alrededor, y cuando haya asedio contra Jerusalén, también lo habrá contra Judá.

Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup or bowl of reeling to all the peoples round about, and in the siege against Jerusalem will there also be a siege against and upon Judah.

3 Y sucederá en aquel día que haré de Jerusalén una piedra pesada para todos los pueblos. Todos los que la levanten serán severamente desgarrados, y contra ella se congregarán todas las naciones de la tierra.

And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples; all who lift it or burden themselves with it shall be sorely wounded. And all the nations of the earth shall come and gather together against it.

4 “ En aquel día,” declara el Señor, “heriré de espanto a todo caballo, y a su jinete, de locura. Pero sobre la casa de Judá abriré Mis ojos, mientras hiero de ceguera a todo caballo de los pueblos.

In that day, says the Lord, I will smite every horse with terror and panic and his rider with madness; and I will open My eyes and regard with favor the house of Judah and will smite every horse of the opposing nations with blindness.

5 E ntonces los jefes de familias de Judá dirán en su corazón: ‘Gran apoyo para nosotros son los habitantes de Jerusalén por el Señor de los ejércitos, su Dios.’

And the chiefs of Judah shall say in their hearts, The inhabitants of Jerusalem are our strength in the Lord of hosts, their God.

6 “ En aquel día haré de los jefes de familias de Judá como brasero de fuego entre leños, y como antorcha ardiendo entre gavillas, y consumirán a diestra y a siniestra a todos los pueblos de alrededor, mientras que Jerusalén será habitada de nuevo en su lugar, en Jerusalén.

In that day will I make the chiefs of Judah like a big, blazing pot among wood and like a flaming torch among sheaves, and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and they of Jerusalem shall yet again dwell and sit securely in their own place, in Jerusalem.

7 E l Señor salvará primero las tiendas de Judá, para que la gloria de la casa de David y la gloria de los habitantes de Jerusalén no se engrandezca sobre Judá.

And the Lord shall save and give victory to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not be magnified and exalted above Judah.

8 E n aquel día el Señor defenderá a los habitantes de Jerusalén, y el débil entre ellos aquel día será como David, y la casa de David será como Dios, como el ángel del Señor delante de ellos.

In that day will the Lord guard and defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and he who is feeble and stumbles among them in that day shall become like David; and the house of David like God, like the Angel of the Lord Who is before them.

9 Y sucederá en aquel día que me dispondré a destruir a todas las naciones que vengan contra Jerusalén. Lamento por el Traspasado

And it shall be in that day that I will make it My aim to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 “ Y derramaré sobre la casa de David y sobre los habitantes de Jerusalén, el Espíritu de gracia y de súplica, y Me mirarán a Mí, a quien han traspasado. Y se lamentarán por El, como quien se lamenta por un hijo único, y llorarán por El, como se llora por un primogénito.

And I will pour out upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace or unmerited favor and supplication. And they shall look upon Me Whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him as one who is in bitterness for his firstborn.

11 E n aquel día habrá gran lamentación en Jerusalén, como la lamentación de Hadad Rimón en la llanura de Meguido.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the Valley of Megiddo '> Josiah].

12 Y se lamentará la tierra, cada familia por su lado: la familia de la casa de David por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado; la familia de la casa de Natán por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado;

And the land shall mourn, every family apart: the family of the house of David apart and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart and their wives apart;

13 l a familia de la casa de Leví por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado; la familia de los Simeítas por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado;

The family of the house of Levi apart and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart and their wives apart;

14 t odas las demás familias, cada familia por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado.

All the families that are left, each by itself, and their wives by themselves.
