1 L a misericordia y la justicia cantaré; A Ti, oh Señor, cantaré alabanzas.

I will sing of mercy and loving-kindness and justice; to You, O Lord, will I sing.

2 P restaré atención al camino de integridad. ¿Cuándo vendrás, Señor, a mí? En la integridad de mi corazón andaré dentro de mi casa.

I will behave myself wisely and give heed to the blameless way—O when will You come to me? I will walk within my house in integrity and with a blameless heart.

3 N o pondré cosa indigna delante de mis ojos; Aborrezco la obra de los que se desvían; No se aferrará a mí.

I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of them who turn aside; it shall not grasp hold of me.

4 E l corazón perverso se alejará de mí; No conoceré maldad.

A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil person or thing.

5 D estruiré al que en secreto calumnia a su prójimo; No toleraré al de ojos altaneros y de corazón arrogante.

Whoso privily slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off; he who has a haughty look and a proud and arrogant heart I cannot and I will not tolerate.

6 M is ojos estarán sobre los fieles de la tierra, para que moren conmigo; El que anda en camino de integridad me servirá.

My eyes shall upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks blamelessly, he shall minister to me.

7 E l que practica el engaño no morará en mi casa; El que habla mentiras no permanecerá en mi presencia.

He who works deceit shall not dwell in my house; he who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.

8 C ada mañana destruiré a todos los impíos de la tierra, Para exterminar de la ciudad del Señor a todos los que hacen iniquidad.

Morning after morning I will root up all the wicked in the land, that I may eliminate all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.
