1 M isericordia y justicia cantaré; a ti, Jehová, cantaré.

I will sing of mercy and loving-kindness and justice; to You, O Lord, will I sing.

2 E ntenderé el camino de la perfección cuando vengas a mí. En la integridad de mi corazón andaré en medio de mi casa.

I will behave myself wisely and give heed to the blameless way—O when will You come to me? I will walk within my house in integrity and with a blameless heart.

3 N o pondré delante de mis ojos cosa injusta. Aborrezco la obra de los que se desvían; ninguno de ellos se acercará a mí.

I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of them who turn aside; it shall not grasp hold of me.

4 C orazón perverso se apartará de mí; no conoceré al malvado.

A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil person or thing.

5 A l que solapadamente difama a su prójimo, yo lo destruiré; no sufriré al de ojos altaneros y de corazón vanidoso.

Whoso privily slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off; he who has a haughty look and a proud and arrogant heart I cannot and I will not tolerate.

6 M is ojos pondré en los fieles de la tierra, para que estén conmigo; el que ande en el camino de la perfección, éste me servirá.

My eyes shall upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks blamelessly, he shall minister to me.

7 N o habitará dentro de mi casa el que hace fraude; el que habla mentiras no se afirmará delante de mis ojos.

He who works deceit shall not dwell in my house; he who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.

8 P or las mañanas destruiré a todos los impíos de la tierra, para exterminar de la ciudad de Jehová a todos los que hagan maldad.

Morning after morning I will root up all the wicked in the land, that I may eliminate all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.
