1 É stas son las jornadas de los hijos de Israel que salieron de la tierra de Egipto, según el orden de sus ejércitos, bajo el mando de Moisés y Aarón.

These are the stages of the journeys of the Israelites by which they went out of the land of Egypt by their hosts under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.

2 M oisés escribió sobre el punto de partida de sus jornadas por mandato de Jehová. Éstas, pues, son sus jornadas con arreglo al punto de partida.

Moses recorded their starting places, as the Lord commanded, stage by stage; and these are their journeying stages from their starting places:

3 D e Ramesés salieron el mes primero, el día quince del mes primero. El segundo día de la Pascua salieron los hijos de Israel con mano poderosa, a la vista de todos los egipcios,

They set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Passover the Israelites went out with a high hand and triumphantly in the sight of all the Egyptians,

4 m ientras enterraban los egipcios a los que Jehová había herido de muerte, a todos sus primogénitos; Jehová había hecho justicia también a sus dioses.

While the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn whom the Lord had struck down among them; upon their gods also the Lord executed judgments.

5 S alieron, pues, los hijos de Israel de Ramesés y acamparon en Sucot.

The Israelites set out from Rameses and encamped in Succoth.

6 S alieron de Sucot y acamparon en Etam, que está en los límites del desierto.

And they departed from Succoth and encamped in Etham, which is at the edge of the wilderness.

7 S alieron de Etam y fueron hacia Pi-hahirot, que está delante de Baal-zefón, y acamparon delante de Migdol.

They set out from Etham and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, east of Baal-zephon, and they encamped before Migdol.

8 S alieron de Pi-hahirot, atravesaron el mar y llegaron al desierto. Anduvieron tres días de camino por el desierto de Etam y acamparon en Mara.

And they journeyed from before Pi-hahiroth and passed through the midst of the Sea into the wilderness; and they went a three days’ journey in the Wilderness of Etham and encamped at Marah.

9 S alieron de Mara y llegaron a Elim, donde había doce fuentes de aguas y setenta palmeras; allí acamparon.

They journeyed from Marah and came to Elim; at Elim there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there.

10 S alieron de Elim y acamparon junto al Mar Rojo.

They set out from Elim and encamped by the Red Sea.

11 S alieron del Mar Rojo y acamparon en el desierto de Sin.

They journeyed from the Red Sea and encamped in the Wilderness of Sin.

And they traveled on from the Wilderness of Sin and encamped at Dophkah.

And they set out from Alush and encamped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

And they departed from Rephidim and encamped in the Wilderness of Sinai.

And they removed from Ezion-geber and encamped in the Wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

37 S alieron de Cades y acamparon en el monte Hor, en la frontera del país de Edom.

And they removed from Kadesh and encamped at Mount Hor, on the edge of Edom.

38 E l sacerdote Aarón subió al monte Hor, conforme al dicho de Jehová, y allí murió a los cuarenta años de la salida de los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto, en el quinto mes, el primero del mes.

Aaron the priest went up on Mount Hor at the command of the Lord, and died there in the fortieth year after the Israelites came out of Egypt, the first day of the fifth month.

39 A arón tenía ciento veintitrés años de edad cuando murió en el monte Hor.

Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.

40 E l cananeo, rey de Arad, que habitaba en el Neguev, en la tierra de Canaán, oyó entonces que habían llegado los hijos de Israel.

The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the South (the Negeb) in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the Israelites.

41 S alieron del monte Hor y acamparon en Zalmona.

They set out from Mount Hor and encamped at Zalmonah.

42 S alieron de Zalmona y acamparon en Punón.

And they set out from Zalmonah and encamped at Punon.

43 S alieron de Punón y acamparon en Obot.

And they set out from Punon and encamped at Oboth.

44 S alieron de Obot y acamparon en Ije-abarim, en la frontera de Moab.

And they traveled on from Oboth and encamped at Iye-abarim, on the border of Moab.

45 S alieron de Ije-abarim y acamparon en Dibón-gad.

And they departed from Iyim and encamped at Dibon-gad.

46 S alieron de Dibón-gad y acamparon en Almón-diblataim.

And they set out from Dibon-gad and encamped in Almon-diblathaim.

47 S alieron de Almón-diblataim y acamparon en los montes de Abarim, delante de Nebo.

And they traveled on from Almon-diblathaim and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

48 S alieron de los montes de Abarim y acamparon en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó.

And they departed from the mountains of Abarim and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

49 F inalmente acamparon junto al Jordán, desde Bet-jesimot hasta Abel-sitim, en los campos de Moab. Límites y repartición de Canaán

And they encamped by the Jordan from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

50 H abló Jehová a Moisés en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó, y le dijo:

And the Lord said to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho,

51 « Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: Cuando hayáis pasado el Jordán y entréis en la tierra de Canaán,

Tell the Israelites, When you have passed over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

52 e charéis de delante de vosotros a todos los habitantes del país, destruiréis todos sus ídolos de piedra y todas sus imágenes de fundición, y destruiréis todos sus lugares altos.

Then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you and destroy all their figured stones and all their molten images and completely demolish all their high places,

53 E charéis a los habitantes de la tierra y habitaréis en ella, pues yo os la he dado para que sea vuestra propiedad.

And you shall take possession of the land and dwell in it, for to you I have given the land to possess it.

54 H eredaréis la tierra por sorteo, según vuestras familias. A las más numerosas daréis mucho como herencia, y a las menos numerosas daréis menos como herencia; donde le caiga la suerte, allí la tendrá cada uno. Por las tribus de vuestros padres heredaréis.

You shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the large tribe you shall give a larger inheritance, and to the small tribe you shall give a smaller inheritance. Wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.

55 P ero si no echáis a los habitantes del país de delante de vosotros, sucederá que los que de ellos dejéis serán como aguijones en vuestros ojos y como espinas en vuestros costados, y os afligirán en la tierra sobre la que vais a habitar.

But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those you let remain of them shall be as pricks in your eyes and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land in which you dwell.

56 A demás, haré con vosotros como pensaba hacer con ellos.»

And as I thought to do to them, so will I do to you.
