1 T hese are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt according to their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
These are the stages of the journeys of the Israelites by which they went out of the land of Egypt by their hosts under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.
2 A nd Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah; and these are their journeys according to their goings out.
Moses recorded their starting places, as the Lord commanded, stage by stage; and these are their journeying stages from their starting places:
3 T hey journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

4 A nd the Egyptians buried those whom Jehovah had smitten among them, all the firstborn; and upon their gods Jehovah executed judgments.

5 A nd the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.

And they departed from Succoth and encamped in Etham, which is at the edge of the wilderness.
7 A nd they removed from Etham, and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which is opposite Baal-Zephon, and encamped before Migdol.

33 A nd they removed from Hor-hagidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah.
And they set out from Hor-haggidgad and encamped at Jotbathah.
34 A nd they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Abronah.
And they journeyed from Jotbathah and encamped at Abronah.
35 A nd they removed from Abronah, and encamped at Ezion-geber.
And they traveled on from Abronah and encamped at Ezion-geber.
36 A nd they removed from Ezion-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

37 A nd they removed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, in the border of the land of Edom.

38 A nd Aaron the priest went up mount Hor by the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.

And they departed from Iyim and encamped at Dibon-gad.
46 A nd they removed from Dibon-Gad, and encamped in Almon-Diblathaim.
And they set out from Dibon-gad and encamped in Almon-diblathaim.
47 A nd they removed from Almon-Diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
And they traveled on from Almon-diblathaim and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
48 A nd they removed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho.
And they departed from the mountains of Abarim and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
49 A nd they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth unto Abel-Shittim, in the plains of Moab.

50 A nd Jehovah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho, saying,
And the Lord said to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho,
51 S peak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over Jordan into the land of Canaan,
Tell the Israelites, When you have passed over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
52 t hen ye shall dispossess all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and ye shall destroy all their figured images, and all their molten images shall ye destroy, and all their high places shall ye lay waste;
Then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you and destroy all their figured stones and all their molten images and completely demolish all their high places,
53 a nd ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein, for to you have I given the land to possess it.
And you shall take possession of the land and dwell in it, for to you I have given the land to possess it.
54 A nd ye shall take for yourselves the land as an inheritance by lot according to your families: to the many ye shall increase their inheritance, and to the few thou shalt diminish their inheritance: where the lot falleth to him, there shall be each man's; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye take for yourselves the inheritance.
You shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the large tribe you shall give a larger inheritance, and to the small tribe you shall give a smaller inheritance. Wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.
55 B ut if ye will not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, those that ye let remain of them shall be thorns in your eyes, and pricks in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land wherein ye dwell.
But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those you let remain of them shall be as pricks in your eyes and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land in which you dwell.
56 A nd it shall come to pass that I will do unto you as I thought to do unto them.
And as I thought to do to them, so will I do to you.
