16 A nd Moses did so: as Jehovah had commanded him, so did he.

Thus did Moses; according to all that the Lord commanded him, so he did.

17 A nd it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first of the month, that the tabernacle was set up.

And on the first day of the first month in the second year the tabernacle was erected.

18 A nd Moses set up the tabernacle, and put in its bases, and fixed its boards, and put in its bars, and set up its pillars.

Moses set up the tabernacle, laid its sockets, set up its boards, put in its bars, and erected its pillars.

19 A nd he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above over it; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent over it, as the Lord had commanded him.

20 A nd he took and put the testimony into the ark, and put the staves in the ark, and put the mercy-seat above on the ark.

He took the Testimony and put it into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark.

21 A nd he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and hung up the veil of separation, and covered the ark of the testimony; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

brought the ark into the tabernacle and set up the veil of the screen and screened the ark of the Testimony, as the Lord had commanded him.

22 A nd he put the table in the tent of meeting, on the side of the tabernacle northward, outside the veil,

Moses put the table in the Tent of Meeting on the north side of the tabernacle outside the veil;

23 a nd arranged the bread in order upon it before Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

He set the bread in order on it before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded him.

24 A nd he put the candlestick in the tent of meeting, opposite to the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

And he put the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle.

25 A nd he lighted the lamps before Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

Moses set up and lighted the lamps before the Lord, as the Lord commanded him.

26 A nd he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil.

He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;

27 A nd he burnt on it fragrant incense; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

He burned sweet incense upon it, as the Lord commanded him.

28 A nd he hung up the curtain of the entrance to the tabernacle.

And he set up the hanging or screen at the door of the tabernacle.

29 A nd he put the altar of burnt-offering at the entrance to the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt-offering and the oblation; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

34 A nd the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle!

35 A nd Moses could not enter into the tent of meeting, for the cloud abode on it, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

And Moses was not able to enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud remained upon it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

36 A nd when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel journeyed in all their journeys.

In all their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the Israelites went onward;

37 A nd if the cloud were not taken up, then they did not journey until the day that it was taken up.

But if the cloud was not taken up, they did not journey on till the day that it was taken up.

38 F or the cloud of Jehovah was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

For throughout all their journeys the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.
