1 A nd Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
And the Lord said to Moses,
2 S peak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me a heave-offering: of every one whose heart prompteth him, ye shall take my heave-offering.
Speak to the Israelites, that they take for Me an offering. From every man who gives it willingly and ungrudgingly with his heart you shall take My offering.
3 A nd this is the heave-offering that ye shall take of them: gold, and silver, and copper,
This is the offering you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze,
4 a nd blue, and purple, and scarlet, and byssus, and goats',
Blue, purple, and scarlet and fine twined linen and goats’ hair,
5 a nd rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins; and acacia-wood;
Rams’ skins tanned red, goatskins, dolphin or porpoise skins, acacia wood,
6 o il for the light; spices for the anointing oil, and for the incense of fragrant drugs;
Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil and for sweet incense,
7 o nyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.
Onyx stones, and stones for setting in the ephod and in the breastplate.
8 A nd they shall make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.
Let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.
9 A ccording to all that I shall shew thee, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the utensils thereof, even so shall ye make.
And you shall make it according to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle or dwelling and the pattern of all the furniture of it.
10 A nd they shall make an ark of acacia-wood; two cubits and a half the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
They shall make an ark of acacia wood: two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.
11 A nd thou shalt overlay it with pure gold: inside and outside shalt thou overlay it; and shalt make upon it a border of gold round about.
You shall overlay the ark with pure gold, inside and out, and make a gold crown, a rim or border, around its top.
12 A nd cast four rings of gold for it, and put at the four corners thereof, that two rings may be upon the one side thereof and two rings upon the other side thereof.
You shall cast four gold rings and attach them to the four lower corners of it, two rings on either side.
13 A nd make staves of acacia-wood and overlay them with gold.
You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold,
14 A nd put the staves into the rings upon the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.
And put the poles through the rings on the ark’s sides, by which to carry it.
15 T he staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not come out from it.
The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it.
16 A nd thou shalt put into the ark the testimony that I shall give thee.
And you shall put inside the ark the Testimony which I will give you.
17 A nd thou shalt make a mercy-seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
And you shall make a mercy seat (a covering) of pure gold, two cubits and a half long and a cubit and a half wide.
18 A nd thou shalt make two cherubim of gold; beaten work shalt thou make them, at the two ends of the mercy-seat.
And you shall make two cherubim (winged angelic figures) of hammered gold on the two ends of the mercy seat.
19 A nd make one cherub at the end of the one side, and one cherub at the end of the other side; out of the mercy-seat shall ye make the cherubim at the two ends thereof.
Make one cherub on each end, making the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat, on the two ends of it.
20 A nd the cherubim shall stretch out wings over it, covering over with their wings the mercy-seat, and their faces opposite to one another: toward the mercy-seat shall the faces of the cherubim be.
And the cherubim shall spread out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, facing each other and looking down toward the mercy seat.
21 A nd thou shalt put the mercy-seat above on the ark, and shalt put in the ark the testimony that I shall give thee.
You shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the Testimony that I will give you.
22 A nd there will I meet with thee, and will speak with thee from above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, everything that I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
There I will meet with you and, from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are upon the ark of the Testimony, I will speak intimately with you of all which I will give you in commandment to the Israelites.
23 A nd thou shalt make a table of acacia-wood, two cubits the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
Also, make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long, one cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high.
24 A nd thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make upon it a border of gold round about.
You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a crown, a rim or molding, of gold around the top of it;
25 A nd thou shalt make for it a margin of a handbreadth round about, and shalt make a border of gold for the margin thereof round about.
And make a frame of a handbreadth around and below the top of it and put around it a gold molding as a border.
26 A nd thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings at the four corners that are on the four feet thereof.
You shall make for it four rings of gold and fasten them at the four corners that are on the table’s four legs.
27 C lose to the margin shall the rings be, as receptacles of the staves to carry the table.
Close against the frame shall the rings be as places for the poles to pass to carry the table.
28 A nd thou shalt make the staves of acacia-wood, and overlay them with gold; and the table shall be carried upon them.
You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, that the table may be carried with them.
29 A nd thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and cups thereof, and goblets thereof, and bowls thereof, with which to pour out: of pure gold shalt thou make them.
And you shall make its plates and cups, and its flagons and bowls; make them of pure gold.
30 A nd thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me continually.
And you shall set the showbread (the bread of the Presence) on the table before Me always.
31 A nd thou shalt make a lamp-stand of pure gold; beaten work shall the lamp-stand be made: its base and its shaft, its cups, its knobs, and its flowers shall be of the same.
You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. Of beaten and turned work shall the lampstand be made, both its base and its shaft; its cups, its knobs, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it.
32 A nd six branches shall come out of the sides thereof—three branches of the lamp-stand out of one side thereof, and three branches of the lamp-stand out of the other side thereof;
Six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the lampstand out of the one side and three branches out of its other side;
33 t hree cups shaped like almonds in the one branch, a knob and a flower: and three cups shaped like almonds in the other branch, a knob and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the lamp-stand.
Three cups made like almond blossoms, each with a knob and a flower on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms on the other branch with a knob and a flower; so for the six branches coming out of the lampstand;
34 A nd in the lamp-stand four cups shaped like almonds, its knobs and its flowers;
And on the itself you shall four cups like almond blossoms with their knobs and their flowers.
35 a nd a knob under two branches of it, and a knob under two branches of it, and a knob under two branches of it, for the six branches that proceed out of the lamp-stand.
Also make a knob under each pair of the six branches going out from the lampstand and one piece with it;
36 T heir knobs and their branches shall be of itself—all of one beaten work of pure gold.
Their knobs and their branches shall be of one piece with it; the whole of it one beaten work of pure gold.
37 A nd thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof, and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may shine out before it;
And you shall make the lamps of the to include a seventh one. shall set up the lamps of it so they may give light in front of it.
38 a nd the snuffers thereof, and the snuff-trays thereof, of pure gold.
Its snuffers and its ashtrays shall be of pure gold.
39 O f a talent of pure gold shall they make it, with all these utensils.
Use a talent of pure gold for it, including all these utensils.
40 A nd see that thou make according to their pattern, which hath been shewn to thee in the mountain.
And see to it that you copy their pattern which was shown you on the mountain.
