1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

And the Lord said to Moses,

2 S peak unto the sons of Israel that they bring me an offering; of every man that gives it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.

Speak to the Israelites, that they take for Me an offering. From every man who gives it willingly and ungrudgingly with his heart you shall take My offering.

3 A nd this shall be the offering which ye shall take of them: gold and silver and brass

This is the offering you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze,

4 a nd blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen and goats’ hair

Blue, purple, and scarlet and fine twined linen and goats’ hair,

5 a nd rams’ skins dyed red and badgers’ skins and cedar wood,

Rams’ skins tanned red, goatskins, dolphin or porpoise skins, acacia wood,

6 o il for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,

Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil and for sweet incense,

7 o nyx stones and stones to be set in the ephod and in the pectoral.

Onyx stones, and stones for setting in the ephod and in the breastplate.

8 A nd let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

Let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.

9 A ccording to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its vessels, even so shall ye make it.

And you shall make it according to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle or dwelling and the pattern of all the furniture of it.

10 And they shall make an ark of cedar wood; two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

They shall make an ark of acacia wood: two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.

11 A nd thou shalt cover it with pure gold; within and without shalt thou cover it and shalt make upon it a moulding of gold round about.

You shall overlay the ark with pure gold, inside and out, and make a gold crown, a rim or border, around its top.

12 A nd thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it and put them in the four corners thereof, and two rings shall be in the one side of it and two rings in the other side of it.

You shall cast four gold rings and attach them to the four lower corners of it, two rings on either side.

13 A nd thou shalt make staves of cedar wood and overlay them with gold.

You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold,

14 A nd thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.

And put the poles through the rings on the ark’s sides, by which to carry it.

15 T he staves shall be in the rings of the ark; they shall not be taken from it.

The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it.

16 A nd thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.

And you shall put inside the ark the Testimony which I will give you.

17 A nd thou shalt make a seat of reconciliation of pure gold; two cubits and a half shall be its length and a cubit and a half its breadth.

And you shall make a mercy seat (a covering) of pure gold, two cubits and a half long and a cubit and a half wide.

18 A nd thou shalt make two cherubim of gold; of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the seat of reconciliation.

And you shall make two cherubim (winged angelic figures) of hammered gold on the two ends of the mercy seat.

19 A nd make one cherub on the one end and the other cherub on the other end: even of the seat of reconciliation shall ye make the cherubim on the two ends thereof.

Make one cherub on each end, making the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat, on the two ends of it.

20 A nd the cherubim shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the seat of reconciliation with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the seat of reconciliation shall the faces of the cherubim be.

And the cherubim shall spread out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, facing each other and looking down toward the mercy seat.

21 A nd thou shalt put the seat of reconciliation above upon the ark, and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

You shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the Testimony that I will give you.

22 A nd there I will meet with thee, and I will speak with thee from above the seat of reconciliation, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the sons of Israel.

There I will meet with you and, from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are upon the ark of the Testimony, I will speak intimately with you of all which I will give you in commandment to the Israelites.

23 Thou shalt likewise make a table of cedar wood; two cubits shall be its length and a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

Also, make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long, one cubit wide, and a cubit and a half high.

24 A nd thou shalt cover it with pure gold and make a moulding of gold round about it.

You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a crown, a rim or molding, of gold around the top of it;

25 A nd thou shalt make unto it a border of a handbreadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden moulding to its border round about.

And make a frame of a handbreadth around and below the top of it and put around it a gold molding as a border.

26 A nd thou shalt make for it four rings of gold and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof.

You shall make for it four rings of gold and fasten them at the four corners that are on the table’s four legs.

27 O ver against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.

Close against the frame shall the rings be as places for the poles to pass to carry the table.

28 A nd thou shalt make the staves of cedar wood and cover them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.

You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, that the table may be carried with them.

29 A nd thou shalt make the dishes thereof and spoons thereof and covers thereof and bowls thereof to cover the bread; of pure gold shalt thou make them.

And you shall make its plates and cups, and its flagons and bowls; make them of pure gold.

30 A nd thou shalt set the showbread upon the table before me always.

And you shall set the showbread (the bread of the Presence) on the table before Me always.

31 And thou shalt make a lampstand of pure gold; of beaten work shall the lampstand be made; its base and its branches, its bowls, its knops, and its flowers shall be of the same.

You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. Of beaten and turned work shall the lampstand be made, both its base and its shaft; its cups, its knobs, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it.

32 A nd six branches shall come out of the sides of it, three branches of the lampstand out of the one side and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side,

Six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the lampstand out of the one side and three branches out of its other side;

33 t hree bowls made like unto almonds with a knop and a flower in one branch, and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch with a knop and a flower; thus in the six branches that come out of the lampstand.

Three cups made like almond blossoms, each with a knob and a flower on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms on the other branch with a knob and a flower; so for the six branches coming out of the lampstand;

34 A nd in the lampstand shall be four bowls made like unto almonds with their knops and their flowers.

And on the itself you shall four cups like almond blossoms with their knobs and their flowers.

35 A nd there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and another knop under two branches of the same, and another knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the lampstand.

Also make a knob under each pair of the six branches going out from the lampstand and one piece with it;

36 T heir knops and their branches shall be of the same; all of it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.

Their knobs and their branches shall be of one piece with it; the whole of it one beaten work of pure gold.

37 A nd thou shalt make its seven lamps; and they shall light its lamps, that they may give light over against it.

And you shall make the lamps of the to include a seventh one. shall set up the lamps of it so they may give light in front of it.

38 A nd its tongs, and its snuffdishes, shall be of pure gold.

Its snuffers and its ashtrays shall be of pure gold.

39 O f a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.

Use a talent of pure gold for it, including all these utensils.

40 A nd look that thou make them after their pattern, which was showed thee in the mount.

And see to it that you copy their pattern which was shown you on the mountain.
