1 ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
And the Lord said to Moses,
2 I f a person commits a sin, a trespass against the LORD, and denies unto his neighbour that which was delivered unto him to keep or left in his hand, or in a thing stolen, or has slandered his neighbour;
If anyone sins and commits a trespass against the Lord and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit given him to keep, or of bargain or pledge, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbor,
3 o r has found that which was lost and then denies it and swears falsely, in any of all these in which a man can sin,
Or has found what was lost and lied about it, or swears falsely, in any of all the things which men do and sin in so doing,
4 t hen it shall be that because he has sinned and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he stole, or for the damage of the slander, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,
Then if he has sinned and is guilty, he shall restore what he took by robbery, or what he secured by oppression or extortion, or what was delivered him to keep in trust, or the lost thing which he found,
5 o r all that about which he has sworn falsely, he shall even restore it in the principal and shall add the fifth part more to it, for the one to whom it belongs, and he shall pay in the day of his guiltiness.
Or anything about which he has sworn falsely; he shall not only restore it in full, but shall add to it one fifth more and give it to him to whom it belongs on the day of his trespass or guilt offering.
6 A nd he shall bring for the expiation of his guilt unto the LORD a ram without blemish out of the flock, in thy estimation, for his guilt, unto the priest;
And he shall bring to the priest his trespass or guilt offering to the Lord, a ram without blemish out of the flock, valued by you to the amount of his trespass;
7 a nd the priest shall reconcile him before the LORD, and he shall have forgiveness for any of all of the things in which he is guilty.
And the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord, and he shall be forgiven for anything of all that he may have done by which he has become guilty.
8 ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
And the Lord said to Moses,
9 C ommand Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering (it is the burnt offering because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it):
Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering shall remain on the altar all night until morning; the fire shall be kept burning on the altar.
10 A nd the priest shall put on his linen garment, and his linen underwear shall he put upon his flesh, and when the fire has consumed the burnt offering, he shall take up the ashes with the burnt fat on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
And the priest shall put on his linen garment and put his linen breeches on his body, and take up the ashes of what the fire has consumed with the burnt offering on the altar and put them beside the altar.
11 T hen he shall put off his garments and put on other garments and carry forth the ashes with the burnt fat outside the camp unto a clean place.
And he shall put off his garments and put on other garments, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.
12 A nd the fire burning upon the altar shall not be put out, but the priest shall put wood on it every morning and lay the burnt offering in order upon it, and he shall burn upon it the fat of the peace.
And the fire upon the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be allowed to go out. The priest shall burn wood on it every morning and lay the burnt offering in order upon it and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings.
13 T he fire shall burn continuously upon the altar; it shall not be put out.
The fire shall be burning continually upon the altar; it shall not go out.
14 ¶ And this is the law of the present: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar.
And this is the law of the cereal offering: The sons of Aaron shall offer it before the Lord, in front of the altar.
15 A nd he shall take of it a handful of the flour of the present and of the oil thereof and all the frankincense which is upon the present and shall incense it upon the altar in an aroma of rest unto the LORD for a memorial.
One of them shall take his handful of the fine flour of the cereal offering, the oil of it, and all the frankincense which is upon the cereal offering, and burn it on the altar as the memorial of it, a sweet and satisfying fragrance to the Lord.
16 A nd the remainder thereof shall Aaron and his sons eat; without leaven it shall be eaten in the holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of the testimony they shall eat it.
And the remainder of it shall Aaron and his sons eat, without leaven in a holy place; in the court of the Tent of Meeting shall they eat it.
17 I t shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my offerings on fire; it is most holy, as is the atonement for sin and the expiation of guilt.
It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it as their portion of My offerings made by fire; it is most holy, like the sin offering and the guilt offering.
18 A ll the males among the sons of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a perpetual statute in your generations concerning the offerings on fire of the LORD; every thing that touches them shall be sanctified.
Every male among the children of Aaron may eat of it, as his portion forever throughout your generations, from the Lord’s offerings made by fire; whoever touches them shall be holy (consecrated and ceremonially clean).
19 A nd the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
And the Lord said to Moses,
20 T his shall be the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer unto the LORD in the day when they shall be anointed: the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a perpetual present, half of it in the morning and half of it in the evening.
This is the offering which Aaron and his sons shall offer to the Lord on the day when one is anointed (and consecrated): the tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a regular cereal offering, half of it in the morning and half of it at night.
21 I n a pan it shall be made with oil; and when it is fried, thou shalt bring it in; and the cooked pieces of the present shalt thou offer in a very acceptable aroma unto the LORD.
On a griddle or baking pan it shall be made with oil; and when it is fried you shall bring it in; in broken and fried pieces shall you offer the cereal offering as a sweet and satisfying odor to the Lord.
22 A nd the priest of his sons that is anointed in his stead shall offer it; it is a perpetual statute unto the LORD; it shall be completely burnt.
And the priest among Aaron’s sons who is consecrated and anointed in his stead shall offer it; by a statute forever it shall be entirely burned to the Lord.
23 A nd every present of a priest shall be completely burnt; it shall not be eaten.
For every cereal offering of the priest shall be wholly burned, and not be eaten.
24 ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,
And the Lord said to Moses,
25 S peak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This shall be the law of sin: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the atonement as sin be killed before the LORD; for it is most holy.
Say to Aaron and his sons: This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the sin offering be killed before the Lord; it is most holy.
26 T he priest that offers it for the sin shall eat it; in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the testimony.
The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it; in a sacred place shall it be eaten, in the court of the Tent of Meeting.
27 W hatever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be sanctified; and when some of the blood thereof is sprinkled upon any garment, thou shalt wash whatever it was sprinkled on in the holy place.
Whoever or whatever touches its flesh shall be dedicated and made clean, and when any of its blood is sprinkled on a garment, you shall wash that garment in a place set apart to God’s worship.
28 B ut the earthen vessel wherein it is cooked shall be broken; and if it is cooked in a brazen pot, it shall be both scoured and rinsed in water.
But the earthen vessel in which it is boiled shall be broken, and if it is boiled in a bronze vessel, that vessel shall be scoured and rinsed in water.
29 A ll the males among the priests shall eat of it; it is most holy.
Every male among the priests may eat of this offering; it is most holy.
30 A nd no atonement as sin, of which any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the testimony to reconcile in the sanctuary, shall be eaten; it shall be burnt in the fire.
But no sin offering shall be eaten of which any of the blood is brought into the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place; it shall be burned with fire.
