1 ¶ Then Eliashib, the high priest, rose up with his brethren, the priests, and they built the sheep gate; they sanctified it and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel.
Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests and built the Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and set up its doors; they consecrated it even to the Tower of Hammeah or the Hundred, as far as the Tower of Hananel.
2 A nd next unto him the men of Jericho built. And next to them built Zaccur, the son of Imri.

3 A nd the sons of Hassenaah built the fish gate; they laid its beams and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.

4 A nd next to them Meremoth, the son of Urijah, the son of Koz restored. And next to them Meshullam, the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel restored. And next to them Zadok, the son of Baana, restored.
And next to them Meremoth son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz, repaired. Next to them Meshullam son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel, repaired. Next to them Zadok son of Baana repaired.
5 A nd next to them the Tekoites restored; but their nobles did not put their necks to the work of their Lord.

6 M oreover, the old gate was restored by Jehoiada, the son of Paseah, and Meshullam, the son of Besodeiah; they laid its beams and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.

7 A nd next to them restored Melatiah, the Gibeonite, and Jadon, the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, on behalf of the captain of the king over the land on this side the river.
Next to them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, to the seat or residence of the governor the River.
8 N ext to them Uzziel, the son of Harhaiah, of the refiners restored. Next unto him Hananiah, the son of one of the apothecaries, also restored, and they fortified Jerusalem unto the broad wall.
Next to them repaired Uzziel son of Harhaiah, one of the goldsmiths. Next to him repaired Hananiah, one of the perfumers, and they abandoned Jerusalem as far as the Broad Wall.
9 A nd next unto them Rephaiah, the son of Hur, prince of the half part of Jerusalem, restored.
Next to them repaired Rephaiah son of Hur, ruler of half the district of Jerusalem.
10 A nd next unto them, Jedaiah, the son of Harumaph restored, and over against his house. And next unto him Hattush, the son of Hashabniah, restored.
Next to them repaired Jedaiah son of Harumaph, opposite his own house. And next to him repaired Hattush son of Hashabneiah.
11 M alchijah, the son of Harim, and Hashub, the son of Pahathmoab, restored the other piece and the tower of the furnaces.
Malchijah son of Harim and Hasshub son of Pahath-moab repaired another portion and the Tower of the Furnaces.
12 A nd next to them restored Shallum, the son of Halohesh, prince of the half part of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.
Next to repaired Shallum son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.
13 T he valley gate was restored by Hanun with the inhabitants of Zanoah; they rebuilt it and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits in the wall unto the dung gate.
The Valley Gate was repaired by Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah. They built it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars and repaired a thousand cubits of the wall, as far as the Dung Gate.
14 A nd Malchiah, the son of Rechab, prince of the province of Bethhaccerem, restored the dung gate; he built it and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
The Dung Gate was repaired by Malchijah son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth-haccherem. He rebuilt it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.
15 S hallun, the son of Colhozeh, the prince of the region of Mizpah, restored the gate of the fountain; he built it, covered it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Siloah of the king’s garden, unto the stairs that go down from the city of David.
The Fountain Gate was repaired by Shallum son of Col-hozeh, ruler of the district of Mizpah. He rebuilt and covered it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and the wall of the Pool of Shelah (Siloam), by the King’s Garden, as far as the stairs that go down from the the City of David.
16 A fter him restored Nehemiah, the son of Azbuk, the prince of half the region of Bethzur, unto the place over against the sepulchres of David and to the pool that was made and unto the house of the mighty.
After him Nehemiah son of Azbuk, ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, repaired to a point opposite the sepulchers of David, and to the artificial pool and the house of the guards.
17 A fter him restored the Levites, Rehum, the son of Bani. Next unto him Hashabiah, prince of half the region of Keilah, restored in his part.
After him the Levites: Rehum son of Bani. Next to him repaired Hashabiah, ruler of half the district of Keilah.
18 A fter him their brethren, Bavai, the son of Henadad, prince of the half the region of Keilah restored.
After him repaired their brethren under Bavvai son of Henadad, ruler of half of the district of Keilah.
19 A nd next to him Ezer, the son of Jeshua, prince of Mizpah, restored another piece over against the going up to the armoury at the turning of the wall.
Next to him repaired Ezer son of Jeshua, ruler of Mizpah, another district over opposite the ascent to the armory at the angle.
20 A fter him Baruch, the son of Zabbai, earnestly restored the other piece, from the turning of the wall unto the door of the house of Eliashib, the high priest.
After him Baruch son of Zabbai (Zaccai) earnestly repaired another portion from the angular turning of the wall to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.
21 A fter him, Meremoth, the son of Urijah, the son of Koz, restored another piece, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib.
After him Meremoth son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz, repaired from the door of Eliashib’s house to the end of his house.
22 A nd after him the priests, the men of the plain, restored.

23 A fter them Benjamin and Hashub restored over against their house. After them Azariah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ananiah, restored by his house.
After them Benjamin and Hasshub repaired opposite their house. After them repaired Azariah son of Maaseiah, the son of Ananiah beside his own house.
24 A fter him, Binnui, the son of Henadad, restored another piece, from the house of Azariah unto the turning of the wall, even unto the corner.
After him Binnui son of Henadad repaired another section, from the house of Azariah to the angular turn of the wall and to the corner.
25 P alal, the son of Uzai, over against the turning of the wall, and the tower which lies out from the king’s high house, that was by the court of the prison. After him Pedaiah, the son of Parosh.
Palal son of Uzai repaired opposite the angular turn of the wall and the tower which stands out from the upper house of the king by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah son of Parosh
26 A nd the Nethinims were in Ophel, unto the place over against the water gate toward the east and the tower that lies out.
And the servants of the priests dwelling on Ophel repaired to opposite the Water Gate on the east and the projecting tower.
27 A fter them the Tekoites restored another piece, over against the great tower that lies out, unto the wall of Ophel.
After them the Tekoites repaired another portion opposite the great projecting tower to the wall of Ophel.
28 F rom the horse gate the priests restored, each one over against his house.
Above the Horse Gate the priests repaired, everyone opposite his own house.
29 A fter them Zadok, the son of Immer, restored over against his house. After him, Shemaiah the son of Shechaniah, the keeper of the east gate restored.
After them repaired Zadok son of Immer opposite his house. Then Shemaiah son of Shecaniah, keeper of the East Gate, repaired.
30 A fter him, Hananiah, the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun, the sixth son of Zalaph, restored another piece. After him Meshullam, the son of Berechiah restored over against his chamber.

31 A fter him, Malchiah, the son of the refiner, restored unto the place of the Nethinims and of the merchants, over against the gate of judgment and to the going up of the corner.
After him Malchijah, one of the goldsmiths, repaired as far as the house of the temple servants and of the merchants, opposite the Muster Gate, and to the ascent and upper room of the corner.
32 A nd between the going up of the corner unto the sheep gate, the refiners and the merchants restored.
And from the ascent and upper room of the corner to the Sheep Gate the goldsmiths and merchants repaired.
