1 S hout aloud unto Jehovah, all the earth!

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands!

2 S erve Jehovah with joy: come before his presence with exultation.

Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing!

3 K now that Jehovah is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

4 E nter into his gates with thanksgiving into his courts with praise; give thanks unto him, bless his name:

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!

5 F or Jehovah is good; his loving-kindness for ever; and his faithfulness from generation to generation.

For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.
