1 H abló Jehová a Moisés y le dijo:

And the Lord said to Moses,

2 « Dirás asimismo a los hijos de Israel: »Cualquier hombre de los hijos de Israel, o de los extranjeros que habitan en Israel, que ofrezca alguno de sus hijos a Moloc, de seguro morirá: el pueblo de la tierra lo apedreará.

Moreover, you shall say to the Israelites, Any one of the Israelites or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

3 Y o pondré mi rostro contra tal hombre, y lo eliminaré de su pueblo, por cuanto dio uno de sus hijos a Moloc, contaminando mi santuario y profanando mi santo nombre.

I also will set My face against that man and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given of his children to Molech, defiling My sanctuary and profaning My holy name.

4 S i el pueblo de la tierra cierra sus ojos respecto de aquel hombre que dio uno de sus hijos a Moloc, para no matarlo,

And if the people of the land do at all hide their eyes from the man when he gives one of his children to Molech and they overlook it or neglect to take legal action to punish him, winking at his sin, and do not kill him,

5 e ntonces yo pondré mi rostro contra aquel hombre y contra su familia, y lo apartaré de su pueblo, junto con todos los que como él se prostituyan tras Moloc.

Then I will set My face against that man and against his family and will cut him off from among their people, him and all who follow him to play the harlot after Molech.

6 » La persona que preste atención a encantadores o adivinos, para prostituirse detrás de ellos, yo pondré mi rostro contra la tal persona, y la eliminaré de su pueblo.

The person who turns to those who have familiar spirits and to wizards, playing the harlot after them, I will set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

7 » Santificaos, pues, y sed santos, porque yo, Jehová, soy vuestro Dios.

Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am the Lord your God.

8 G uardad mis estatutos y ponedlos por obra. Yo soy Jehová, el que os santifico.

And you shall keep My statutes and do them. I am the Lord Who sanctifies you.

9 » Todo hombre que maldiga a su padre o a su madre, de cierto morirá, pues a su padre o a su madre maldijo: su sangre caerá sobre él.

Everyone who curses his father or mother shall surely be put to death; he has cursed his father or mother; his bloodguilt is upon him.

10 » Si un hombre comete adulterio con la mujer de su prójimo, el adúltero y la adúltera indefectiblemente serán muertos.

The man who commits adultery with another’s wife, even his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

11 » Cualquiera que se acueste con la mujer de su padre, la desnudez de su padre descubrió; ambos han de ser muertos: su sangre caerá sobre ellos.

And the man who lies carnally with his father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of the guilty ones shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon their own heads.

12 » Si alguien duerme con su nuera, ambos han de morir; cometieron grave perversión: su sangre caerá sobre ellos.

And if a man lies carnally with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have wrought confusion, perversion, and defilement; their blood shall be upon their own heads.

13 » Si alguien se acuesta con otro hombre como se hace con una mujer, abominación hicieron; ambos han de ser muertos: sobre ellos caerá su sangre.

If a man lies with a male as if he were a woman, both men have committed an offense (something perverse, unnatural, abhorrent, and detestable); they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

14 » El que tome como esposas a una mujer y a la madre de ella, comete vileza. Tanto él como ellas serán quemados, para que no haya tal vileza entre vosotros.

And if a man takes a wife and her mother, it is wickedness and an outrageous offense; all three shall be burned with fire, both he and they, that there be no wickedness among you.

15 » Cualquiera que tenga cópula con una bestia, ha de ser muerto. También mataréis a la bestia.

And if a man lies carnally with a beast, he shall surely be to death, and you shall slay the beast.

16 » Si una mujer se acerca a algún animal para ayuntarse con él, a la mujer y al animal matarás; morirán indefectiblemente: su sangre caerá sobre ellos.

If a woman approaches any beast and lies carnally with it, you shall the woman and the beast; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

17 » Si alguno toma a su hermana, hija de su padre o hija de su madre, y ve su desnudez, y ella ve la suya, es cosa execrable; por tanto serán muertos a ojos de los hijos de su pueblo; descubrió la desnudez de su hermana: cargará con su pecado.

If a man takes his sister, his father’s or his mother’s daughter, and sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a wicked and shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people; he has had sexual relations with his sister; he shall bear his iniquity.

18 » Cualquiera que duerma con una mujer durante su menstruación y descubra su desnudez, su fuente descubrió, y ella descubrió la fuente de su sangre; ambos serán eliminados de su pueblo.

And if a man shall lie with a woman having her menstrual pains and shall uncover her nakedness, he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood; and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

19 » La desnudez de la hermana de tu madre o de la hermana de tu padre, no descubrirás, porque al descubrir la desnudez de su parienta, cargarán con su pecado.

You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister or of your father’s sister, for that is to make naked his close kin; they shall bear their iniquity.

20 » Cualquiera que duerma con la mujer del hermano de su padre, la desnudez del hermano de su padre descubrió; cargarán con su pecado: morirán sin hijos.

And if a man shall lie carnally with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness; they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

21 » El que tome la mujer de su hermano, comete impureza; la desnudez de su hermano descubrió: no tendrán hijos.

And if a man shall take his brother’s wife, it is impurity; he has uncovered his brother’s nakedness; they shall be childless.

22 » Guardad, pues, todos mis estatutos y todas mis ordenanzas, y ponedlos por obra, no sea que os vomite la tierra en la cual yo os introduzco para que habitéis en ella.

You shall therefore keep all My statutes and all My ordinances and do them, that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out.

23 N o andéis en las prácticas de las naciones que yo expulsaré de delante de vosotros, porque ellos hicieron todas estas cosas, y fueron para mí abominables.

You shall not walk in the customs of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they did all these things, and therefore I was wearied and grieved by them.

24 P ero a vosotros os he dicho: “Vosotros poseeréis la tierra de ellos, y yo os la daré para que la poseáis por heredad, tierra que fluye leche y miel.” »Yo soy Jehová, vuestro Dios, que os he apartado de los demás pueblos.

But I have said to you, You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the Lord your God, Who has separated you from the peoples.

25 P or tanto, vosotros haréis distinción entre animal limpio e inmundo, y entre ave inmunda y limpia. No contaminéis vuestras personas con los animales, ni con las aves, ni con nada que se arrastra sobre la tierra, los cuales os he apartado por inmundos.

You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean; and you shall not make yourselves detestable with beast or with bird or with anything with which the ground teems or that creeps, which I have set apart from you as unclean.

26 H abéis, pues, de serme santos, porque yo, Jehová, soy santo, y os he apartado de entre los pueblos para que seáis míos.

And you shall be holy to Me; for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.

27 » El hombre o la mujer que consulten espíritus de muertos o se entreguen a la adivinación, han de morir; serán apedreados, y su sangre caerá sobre ellos.»

A man or woman who is a medium and has a familiar spirit or is a wizard shall surely be put to death, be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.
