Now these are the priests and Levites who went up with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and with Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

2 A marías, Maluc, Hatús,

Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

3 S ecanías, Rehum, Meremot,

Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,

4 I ddo, Gineto, Abías,

Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,

5 M ijamín, Maadías, Bilga,

Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,

6 S emaías, Joiarib, Jedaías,

Shemaiah, Joiarib, Jedaiah,

7 S alú, Amoc, Hilcías y Jedaías. Estos eran los principales sacerdotes y sus hermanos en los días de Jesúa.

Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, and Jedaiah. These were the chiefs of the priests and their brethren in the days of Jeshua.

8 L os levitas: Jesúa, Binúi, Cadmiel, Serebías, Judá y Matanías, que con sus hermanos oficiaba en los cantos de alabanza.

And the Levites were Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who, with his brethren, was over the thanksgiving.

9 Y Bacbuquías y Uni, sus hermanos, cada cual en su ministerio.

Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, stood opposite them according to their offices.

10 J esúa engendró a Joiacim, Joiacim engendró a Eliasib, y Eliasib engendró a Joiada;

And Jeshua was the father of Joiakim, Joiakim of Eliashib, Eliashib of Joiada,

11 J oiada engendró a Jonatán y Jonatán engendró a Jadúa.

Joiada was the father of Jonathan, and Jonathan of Jaddua.

12 E n los días de Joiacim los sacerdotes jefes de familia fueron: de Seraías, Meraías; de Jeremías, Hananías;

And in the days of Joiakim were priests, heads of fathers’ houses: of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

13 d e Esdras, Mesulam; de Amarías, Johanán;

Of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

14 d e Melicú, Jonatán; de Sebanías, José;

Of Malluchi, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

15 d e Harim, Adna; de Meraiot, Helcai;

Of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

16 d e Iddo, Zacarías; de Ginetón, Mesulam;

Of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

17 d e Abías, Zicri; de Miniamín, de Moadías, Piltai;

Of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin and of Moadiah, Piltai;

18 d e Bilga, Samúa; de Semaías, Jonatán;

Of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;

22 L os levitas en días de Eliasib, de Joiada, de Johanán y de Jadúa fueron inscritos como jefes de familia; también los sacerdotes, hasta el reinado de Darío el persa.

As for the Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan, and Jaddua, the heads of fathers’ houses were recorded, as well as the priests, until the reign of Darius the Persian.

23 L os hijos de Leví, jefes de familia, fueron inscritos en el libro de las crónicas hasta los días de Johanán hijo de Eliasib.

The sons of Levi, heads of fathers’ houses, were recorded in the Book of the Chronicles until the days of Johanan son of Eliashib.

24 L os principales de los levitas eran: Hasabías, Serebías, Jesúa hijo de Cadmiel, y sus hermanos estaban frente a ellos, para alabar y dar gracias, conforme al estatuto de David, varón de Dios, durante su turno de servicio.

And the chiefs of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, with their brethren opposite them, to praise and to give thanks, as David, God’s man, commanded, watch in response to watch.

25 M atanías, Bacbuquías, Obadías, Mesulam, Talmón y Acub, eran porteros y hacían guardia en las entradas de las puertas.

Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, and Akkub were gatekeepers guarding at the storehouses of the gates.

26 E stos vivieron en los días de Joiacim hijo de Jesúa hijo de Josadac, y en los días del gobernador Nehemías y del sacerdote y escriba Esdras. Dedicación del muro

These were in the days of Joiakim son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor and of Ezra the priest and scribe.

27 P ara la dedicación del muro de Jerusalén, buscaron a los levitas de todos los lugares donde vivían y los llevaron a Jerusalén, para hacer la dedicación y la fiesta con alabanzas y con cánticos, con címbalos, salterios y cítaras.

And for the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites in all their places to bring them to Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication with gladness, with thanksgivings, and with singing, cymbals, harps, and lyres.

28 L os hijos de los cantores acudieron, tanto de la región alrededor de Jerusalén, como de las aldeas de los netofatitas;

And the sons of the singers gathered together from the plain and circuit around Jerusalem and from the villages of the Netophathites,

29 t ambién de la casa de Gilgal y de los campos de Geba y de Azmavet, porque los cantores se habían edificado aldeas alrededor de Jerusalén.

And also from Beth-gilgal and the fields of Geba and Azmaveth, for the singers had built for themselves villages around Jerusalem.

30 L os sacerdotes y los levitas se purificaron, y luego purificaron al pueblo, las puertas y el muro.

And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, the people, the gates, and the wall.

31 H ice entonces subir a los gobernantes de Judá sobre el muro, y organicé dos grandes coros que fueron en procesión; el primero a la derecha, sobre el muro, marchaba hacia la puerta del Muladar.

Then I brought the princes of Judah up on the wall, and I appointed two great companies of them who gave thanks and went in procession. One went to the right upon the wall toward the Dung Gate.

32 D etrás de ellos iban Osaías, con la mitad de los gobernantes de Judá,

And after them went Hoshaiah and half of the princes of Judah,

33 A zarías, Esdras, Mesulam,

And Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam,

34 J udá y Benjamín, Semaías y Jeremías.

Judah, Benjamin, Shemaiah, and Jeremiah,

35 D e los hijos de los sacerdotes iban con trompetas: Zacarías hijo de Jonatán hijo de Semaías, hijo de Matanías, hijo de Micaías, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Asaf;

And certain of the priests’ sons with trumpets, and Zechariah son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph,

36 y sus hermanos Semaías, Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Natanael, Judá y Hanani, quienes iban con los instrumentos musicales de David, varón de Dios; y el escriba Esdras marchaba delante de ellos.

And his kinsmen—Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah, Hanani—with the musical instruments of David, God’s man. And Ezra the scribe went before them.

37 A la altura de la puerta de la Fuente, subieron derecho por las gradas de la Ciudad de David, por la subida del muro, desde la casa de David hasta la puerta de las Aguas, al oriente.

At the Fountain Gate they went up straight ahead by the stairs of the City of David at the wall’s ascent above David’s house to the Water Gate on the east.

38 E l segundo coro iba del lado opuesto; yo iba detrás, con la mitad del pueblo, sobre el muro, desde la torre de los Hornos hasta el muro ancho,

The other company of those who gave thanks went to the left; I followed with half of the people upon the wall, above the Tower of the Furnaces to the Broad Wall,

39 p asando por la puerta de Efraín, la puerta Vieja, la puerta del Pescado, la torre de Hananeel y la torre de Hamea, hasta la puerta de las Ovejas; y se detuvieron en la puerta de la Cárcel.

And above the Gate of Ephraim, and by the Old Gate and by the Fish Gate and by the Tower of Hananel and the Tower of Hammeah, even to the Sheep Gate; and they stopped at the Gate of the Guard.

40 L legaron luego los dos coros a la casa de Dios. A mi lado estaban la mitad de los oficiales,

So the two companies of those who gave thanks stood in the house of God, and I, and the half of the officials with me;

41 y los sacerdotes Eliacim, Maaseías, Miniamín, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarías y Hananías, con trompetas;

And the priests Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;

42 y Maasías, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzi, Johanán, Malquías, Elam y Ezer. Y los cantores cantaban en alta voz, dirigidos por Izrahías.

And Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang and made themselves heard, with Jezrahiah as leader.

43 A quel día se ofrecieron numerosos sacrificios, y se regocijaron, porque Dios los había recreado con grande contentamiento; también se alegraron las mujeres y los niños. Y el alborozo de Jerusalén se oía desde lejos. Porciones para sacerdotes y levitas

Also that day they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women also and the children rejoiced. The joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

44 E n aquel día fueron puestos hombres sobre los depósitos de los tesoros, de las ofrendas, de las primicias y de los diezmos, para almacenar en ellos las porciones que la Ley otorga a sacerdotes y levitas, las cuales llegaban de las ciudades; porque era grande el gozo de Judá con respecto a los sacerdotes y levitas que servían.

On that day men were appointed over the chambers for the stores, the contributions, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by law for the priests and the Levites according to the fields of the towns, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and Levites who served.

45 E llos cumplían en el servicio de su Dios, y en el servicio de la expiación, junto con los cantores y los porteros, conforme al estatuto de David y de Salomón, su hijo.

And they performed the due service of their God and of the purification; so did the singers and gatekeepers, as David and his son Solomon had commanded.

46 P orque desde el tiempo de David y de Asaf, ya de antiguo, había un director de cantores para los cánticos, las alabanzas y la acción de gracias a Dios.

For in the days of David and Asaph of old, there was a chief of singers and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.

47 Y todo Israel, en días de Zorobabel y en días de Nehemías, daba alimentos a los cantores y a los porteros, cada cosa en su día. Entregaban asimismo sus porciones a los levitas, y los levitas entregaban su parte a los hijos de Aarón.

And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and of Nehemiah gave the daily portions for the singers and the gatekeepers; and they set apart what was for the Levites, and the Levites set apart what was for the sons of Aaron.
