1 G rande es Jehová y digno de ser en gran manera alabado en la ciudad de nuestro Dios, en su monte santo.

Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain,

2 ¡ Hermosa provincia, el gozo de toda la tierra es el monte Sión, a los lados del norte! ¡La ciudad del gran Rey!

Fair and beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth— Mount Zion, to the northern side, the city of the Great King!

3 E n sus palacios Dios es conocido por refugio.

God has made Himself known in her palaces as a Refuge (a High Tower and a Stronghold).

4 C iertamente los reyes de la tierra se reunieron; pasaron todos.

For, behold, the kings assembled, they came onward and they passed away together.

5 Y viéndola ellos así, se maravillaron, se turbaron, se apresuraron a huir.

They looked, they were amazed; they were stricken with terror and took to flight.

6 L es tomó allí temblor; dolor como de mujer que da a luz.

Trembling took hold of them there, and pain as of a woman in childbirth.

7 C on viento solano quiebras tú las naves de Tarsis.

With the east wind You shattered the ships of Tarshish.

8 C omo lo oímos, así lo hemos visto en la ciudad de Jehová de los ejércitos, en la ciudad de nuestro Dios. ¡La afirmará Dios para siempre! Selah

As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Selah!

9 N os acordamos de tu misericordia, Dios, en medio de tu Templo.

We have thought of Your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of Your temple.

10 C onforme a tu nombre, Dios, así es tu loor hasta los fines de la tierra. De justicia está llena tu diestra.

As is Your name, O God, so is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness (rightness and justice).

11 S e alegrará el monte Sión, se gozarán las hijas de Judá por tus juicios.

Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of Your judgments!

12 A ndad alrededor de Sión y rodeadla; contad sus torres.

Walk about Zion, and go round about her, number her towers (her lofty and noble deeds of past days),

13 C onsiderad atentamente su antemuro, mirad sus palacios, para que lo contéis a la generación venidera,

Consider well her ramparts, go through her palaces and citadels, that you may tell the next generation.

14 p orque este Dios es Dios nuestro eternamente y para siempre; él nos guiará aun más allá de la muerte.

For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide until death.
