1 ¡ Dios, no guardes silencio! ¡No calles, Dios, ni te estés quieto!,

Keep not silence, O God; hold not Your peace or be still, O God.

2 p orque rugen tus enemigos y los que te aborrecen alzan la cabeza.

For, behold, Your enemies are in tumult, and those who hate You have raised their heads.

3 C ontra tu pueblo han consultado astuta y secretamente, y han entrado en consejo contra tus protegidos.

They lay crafty schemes against Your people and consult together against Your hidden and precious ones.

4 H an dicho: «Venid y destruyámoslos, para que no sean nación y no haya más memoria del nombre de Israel.»

They have said, Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be in remembrance no more.

5 A una se confabulan de corazón. Contra ti han hecho alianza

For they have consulted together with one accord and one heart; against You they make a covenant—

6 l as tiendas de los edomitas y de los ismaelitas, Moab y los agarenos,

The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,

Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, the Philistines, with the inhabitants of Tyre.

11 P on a sus capitanes como a Oreb y a Zeeb; como a Zeba y a Zalmuna a todos sus príncipes,

Who say, Let us take possession for ourselves of the pastures of God.

13 D ios mío, ponlos como torbellinos, como hojarascas delante del viento,

O my God, make them like whirling dust, like stubble or chaff before the wind!

14 c omo fuego que quema el monte, como llama que abrasa el bosque.

As fire consumes the forest, and as the flame sets the mountains ablaze,

15 P ersíguelos así con tu tempestad y atérralos con tu huracán.

So pursue and afflict them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your tornado or hurricane.

16 L lena sus rostros de vergüenza, y busquen tu nombre, Jehová.

Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek, inquire for, and insistently require Your name, O Lord.

17 S ean confundidos y turbados para siempre; sean deshonrados y perezcan.

Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever; yes, let them be put to shame and perish,

18 Y conozcan que tu nombre es Jehová; ¡sólo tú, el Altísimo sobre toda la tierra!

That they may know that You, Whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
