2 V ê como se agitam os teus inimigos, como os teus adversários te desafiam de cabeça erguida.

For, behold, Your enemies are in tumult, and those who hate You have raised their heads.

3 C om astúcia conspiram contra o teu povo; tramam contra aqueles que são o teu tesouro.

They lay crafty schemes against Your people and consult together against Your hidden and precious ones.

4 E les dizem: “Venham, vamos destruí-los como nação, para que o nome de Israel não seja mais lembrado!”

They have said, Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be in remembrance no more.

5 C om um só propósito tramam juntos; é contra ti que fazem acordo

For they have consulted together with one accord and one heart; against You they make a covenant—

6 a s tendas de Edom e os ismaelitas, Moabe e os hagarenos,

The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,

7 G ebal, Amom e Amaleque, a Filístia, com os habitantes de Tiro.

Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, the Philistines, with the inhabitants of Tyre.

11 F aze com os seus nobres o que fizeste com Orebe e Zeebe, e com todos os seus príncipes o que fizeste com Zeba e Zalmuna,

Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, yes, all their princes as Zebah and Zalmunna,

12 q ue disseram: “Vamos apossar-nos das pastagens de Deus”.

Who say, Let us take possession for ourselves of the pastures of God.

13 F aze-os como folhas secas levadas no redemoinho, ó meu Deus, como palha ao vento.

O my God, make them like whirling dust, like stubble or chaff before the wind!

14 A ssim como o fogo consome a floresta e as chamas incendeiam os montes,

As fire consumes the forest, and as the flame sets the mountains ablaze,

15 p ersegue-os com o teu vendaval e aterroriza-os com a tua tempestade.

So pursue and afflict them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your tornado or hurricane.

16 C obre-lhes de vergonha o rosto até que busquem o teu nome, Senhor.

Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek, inquire for, and insistently require Your name, O Lord.

17 S ejam eles humilhados e aterrorizados para sempre; pereçam em completa desgraça.

Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever; yes, let them be put to shame and perish,

18 S aibam eles que tu, cujo nome é Senhor, somente tu, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra.

That they may know that You, Whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
