1 V eio a mim esta palavra do Senhor:

Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

2 “ Filho do homem, assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor, à nação de Israel: Chegou o fim! O fim chegou aos quatro cantos da terra de Israel.

Also, son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.

3 O fim está agora sobre você, e sobre você eu vou desencadear a minha ira. Eu a julgarei de acordo com a sua conduta e lhe retribuirei todas as suas práticas repugnantes.

Now is the end upon you, and I will send My anger upon you and will judge you according to your ways and will bring upon you retribution for all your abominations.

4 N ão olharei com piedade para você nem a pouparei; com certeza eu lhe retribuirei sua conduta e suas práticas em seu meio. Então você saberá que eu sou o Senhor ”.

And My eye will not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will bring recompense for your evil ways upon you, while your abominations are in the midst of you; and you shall know (recognize, understand, and realize) that I am the Lord.

5 A ssim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: “Eis a desgraça! Uma desgraça jamais imaginada vem aí.

Thus says the Lord God: Behold, an evil is coming, only one evil.

6 C hegou o fim! Chegou o fim! Ele se insurgiu contra você. O fim chegou!

An end has come! The end has come! awakes against you. See, it has come!

7 A condenação chegou sobre você que habita no país. Chegou a hora, o dia está próximo; há pânico, e não alegria, sobre os montes.

Your turn (your doom) has come upon you, O inhabitant of the land; the time has come, the day is near, a day not of joyful shouting, but a day of tumult upon the mountains.

8 E stou prestes a derramar a minha ira sobre você e esgotar a minha indignação contra você; eu a julgarei de acordo com a sua conduta e lhe retribuirei todas as suas práticas repugnantes.

Now will I shortly pour out My wrath upon you and finish spending My anger against you, and I will judge you according to your ways and will recompense you with punishment for all your abominations.

9 N ão olharei com piedade para você nem a pouparei; eu lhe retribuirei de acordo com todas as práticas repugnantes que há no seu meio. Então você saberá que é o Senhor que desfere o golpe.

And My eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways while your abominations are right in the midst of you. And you shall know, understand, and realize that it is I the Lord Who smites you.

10 “ Eis o dia! Já chegou! A condenação irrompeu, a vara brotou, a arrogância floresceu!

Behold, the day! Behold, it has come! Your doom has gone forth, the rod has blossomed, pride has budded.

11 A violência tomou a forma de uma vara para castigar a maldade; ninguém do povo será deixado, ninguém daquela multidão, como também nenhuma riqueza, nada que tenha algum valor.

Violence has grown up into a rod of wickedness; none of shall remain, none of their abundance, none of their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them or wailing for them.

12 C hegou a hora, o dia chegou. Que o comprador não se regozije nem o vendedor se entristeça, pois a ira está sobre toda a multidão.

The time has come, the day draws near. Let not the buyer rejoice nor the seller mourn, for wrath is upon all their multitude.

13 N enhum vendedor viverá o suficiente para recuperar a terra que vendeu, mesmo que viva muito tempo, pois a visão acerca de toda a multidão não voltará atrás. Por causa de sua iniqüidade, nenhuma vida humana será preservada.

For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, even were they yet alive. For the vision is touching whole multitude; he shall not come back, neither shall any strengthen himself whose life is in his iniquity.

14 E mbora toquem a trombeta e deixem tudo pronto, ninguém irá a combate, pois a minha ira está sobre toda a multidão”.

They have blown the trumpet and have made all ready, but none goes to the battle, for My wrath is upon all their multitude.

15 “ Fora está a espada, dentro estão a peste e a fome; quem estiver no campo morrerá pela espada, e quem estiver na cidade será devorado pela fome e pela peste.

The sword is without and pestilence and famine are within. He who is in the field shall die by the sword, and him who is in the city shall famine and pestilence devour.

16 T odos os que se livrarem e escaparem estarão nos montes, gemendo como pombas nos vales, cada um por causa de sua própria iniqüidade.

But those of them that escape shall escape, but shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, every one in his iniquity’s.

17 T oda mão ficará pendendo, frouxa, e todo joelho ficará como água, de tão fraco.

All hands shall be feeble and all knees shall be weak as water.

18 E les se cobrirão de vestes de luto e se vestirão de pavor. Terão o rosto coberto de vergonha, e sua cabeça será rapada.

They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth; horror and dismay shall cover them, and shame shall be upon all faces and baldness upon all their heads.

19 A tirarão sua prata nas ruas, e seu ouro será tratado como coisa impura. Sua prata e seu ouro serão incapazes de livrá-los no dia da ira do Senhor e não poderão saciar sua fome e encher os seus estômagos; servirão apenas para fazê-los tropeçar na iniqüidade.

They shall cast their silver into the streets, and their gold shall be like an unclean thing or rubbish; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord; they shall not satisfy their animal cravings nor fill their stomachs with them, for has been the stumbling block of their iniquity.

20 E les tinham orgulho de suas lindas jóias e as usavam para fazer os seus ídolos repugnantes e as suas imagens detestáveis. Por isso tornarei essas coisas em algo impuro para eles.

As for the beauty of gold for ornament, they turned it to pride and made of it the images of their abominations (idols) and of their detestable things. Therefore I will make it to them as an unclean thing.

21 E ntregarei tudo isso como despojo nas mãos de estrangeiros e como saque nas mãos dos ímpios da terra, e eles o contaminarão.

And I will give it for plunder into the hands of strangers and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil, and they shall profane it.

22 D esviarei deles o meu rosto, e eles profanarão o lugar que tanto amo; este será invadido por ladrões que o profanarão.

Also I will turn My face from them and they shall profane My secret treasure; and robbers shall enter into it and profane it.

23 “ Preparem correntes, porque a terra está cheia de sangue derramado e a cidade está cheia de violência.

Prepare the chain, for the land is full of bloodguiltiness and the city is full of violence.

24 T rarei os piores elementos das nações para se apossarem das casas deles; darei fim ao orgulho dos poderosos, e os santuários deles serão profanados.

Therefore I will bring in the worst of the nations, who will take possession of the houses; I will also silence their strongholds and put an end to their proud might, and their holy places and those who sanctify them shall be profaned.

25 Q uando chegar o pavor, eles buscarão paz, mas não a encontrarão.

Distress, panic, and destruction shall come, and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

26 V irá uma desgraça após a outra, e um alarme após o outro. Tentarão conseguir uma visão da parte do profeta, e o ensino da Lei pelo sacerdote se perderá, como também o conselho das autoridades.

Calamity shall come upon calamity and rumor shall be upon rumor, and they shall seek a vision of the prophet; and the law and instruction shall cease from the priest and counsel from the elders.

27 O rei pranteará, o príncipe se vestirá de desespero, e as mãos do povo da terra tremerão. Lidarei com eles de acordo com a sua conduta, e pelos seus próprios padrões eu os julgarei. Então saberão que eu sou o Senhor ”.

The king shall wear mourning and the prince shall clothe himself with garments of despair and desolation, while the hands of the people of the land shall tremble; for I will do to them in accordance with their ways, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know, recognize, and realize that I am the Lord.
