The allotment for the people of Joseph went from the Jordan by Jericho, east of the waters of Jericho, into the wilderness, going up from Jericho into the hill country to Bethel;

2 D e Betel, que é Luz, iam para o território dos arquitas, em Atarote,

Then it went from Bethel to Luz and passed on to Ataroth, the border of the Archites.

3 d esciam para o oeste, até o território dos jafletitas, chegando à região de Bete-Horom Baixa, e prosseguiam até Gezer, terminando no mar.

And it went down westward to the territory of the Japhletites as far as the outskirts of Lower Beth-horon, then to Gezer, and ended at the sea.

4 A ssim os descendentes de Manassés e Efraim, filhos de José, receberam a sua herança. A Herança de Efraim

The descendants of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance.

5 E ste era o território de Efraim, clã por clã: A fronteira da sua herança ia de Atarote-Adar, a leste, até Bete-Horom Alta,

The boundary of the Ephraimites according to their families was thus: on the east side their border was Ataroth-addar as far as Upper Beth-horon.

6 e prosseguia até o mar. De Micmetá, ao norte, fazia uma curva para o leste, até Taanate-Siló, e, passando por ela, ia até Janoa, a leste.

Then the boundary went from there to the sea; on the north was Michmethath; then on the east the boundary went out to Taanath-shiloh, and eastward to Janoah,

7 D epois descia de Janoa para Atarote e Naarate, encostava em Jericó e terminava no Jordão.

Then it went down from Janoah to Ataroth and to Naarah, touched Jericho, and ended at the Jordan.

8 D e Tapua a fronteira seguia rumo oeste até o ribeiro de Caná e terminava no mar. Essa foi a herança da tribo dos efraimitas, clã por clã,

The border went out from Tappuah westward to the brook Kanah and ended at the Sea. This is the inheritance of the Ephraimites by their families,

9 q ue incluía todas as cidades com os seus povoados, separadas para os efraimitas na herança dos manassitas.

With the towns set apart for the Ephraimites within the inheritance of the Manassites, all those towns with their villages.

10 O s cananeus de Gezer não foram expulsos, e até hoje vivem no meio do povo de Efraim, mas são sujeitos a trabalhos forçados.

But they did not drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day, and they became slaves required to do forced labor.
