1 N o te impacientes a causa de los malignos ni tengas envidia de los malhechores,

Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness (that which is not upright or in right standing with God).

2 p orque como la hierba serán pronto cortados y como la hierba verde se secarán.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 C onfía en Jehová y haz el bien; habitarás en la tierra y te apacentarás de la verdad.

Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.

4 D eléitate asimismo en Jehová y él te concederá las peticiones de tu corazón.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

5 E ncomienda a Jehová tu camino, confía en él y él hará.

Commit your way to the Lord; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.

6 E xhibirá tu justicia como la luz y tu derecho como el mediodía.

And He will make your uprightness and right standing with God go forth as the light, and your justice and right as the noonday.

7 G uarda silencio ante Jehová y espera en él. No te alteres con motivo del que prospera en su camino, por el hombre que hace lo malo.

Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

8 D eja la ira y desecha el enojo; no te excites en manera alguna a hacer lo malo,

Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not yourself—it tends only to evildoing.

9 p orque los malignos serán destruidos, pero los que esperan en Jehová heredarán la tierra,

For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait and hope and look for the Lord shall inherit the earth.

10 p ues dentro de poco no existirá el malo; observarás su lugar, y ya no estará allí.

For yet a little while, and the evildoers will be no more; though you look with care where they used to be, they will not be found.

11 P ero los mansos heredarán la tierra y se recrearán con abundancia de paz.

But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 M aquina el impío contra el justo y rechina contra él sus dientes.

The wicked plot against the righteous (the upright in right standing with God); they gnash at them with their teeth.

13 E l Señor se reirá de él, porque ve que viene su día.

The Lord laughs at, for He sees that their own day is coming.

14 L os impíos desenvainan espada y tensan su arco para derribar al pobre y al menesteroso, para matar a los de recto proceder.

The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows to cast down the poor and needy, to slay those who walk uprightly (blameless in conduct and in conversation).

15 S u espada entrará en su mismo corazón y su arco será quebrado.

The swords shall enter their own hearts, and their bows shall be broken.

16 M ejor es lo poco del justo que las riquezas de muchos pecadores,

Better is the little that the righteous have than the abundance of many who are wrong and wicked.

17 p orque los brazos de los impíos serán quebrados; mas el que sostiene a los justos es Jehová.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.

18 C onoce Jehová los días de los íntegros y la heredad de ellos será para siempre.

The Lord knows the days of the upright and blameless, and their heritage will abide forever.

19 N o serán avergonzados en el tiempo de dificultad, y en los días de hambre serán saciados.

They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 M as los impíos perecerán, los enemigos de Jehová serán consumidos; como la grasa de los carneros, se disiparán como el humo.

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs and as the glory of the pastures. They shall vanish; like smoke shall they consume away.

21 E l impío toma prestado y no paga; pero el justo tiene misericordia y da.

The wicked borrow and pay not again, but the righteous deal kindly and give.

22 L os benditos de él heredarán la tierra y los malditos de él serán destruidos.

For such as are blessed of God shall inherit the earth, but they that are cursed of Him shall be cut off.

23 P or Jehová son ordenados los pasos del hombre y él aprueba su camino.

The steps of a man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way.

24 C uando el hombre caiga, no quedará postrado, porque Jehová sostiene su mano.

Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps his hand in support and upholds him.

25 J oven fui y he envejecido, y no he visto justo desamparado ni a su descendencia que mendigue pan.

I have been young and now am old, yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken or their seed begging bread.

26 E n todo tiempo tiene misericordia y presta. Su descendencia es para bendición.

All day long they are merciful and deal graciously; they lend, and their offspring are blessed.

27 A pártate del mal, haz el bien y vivirás para siempre,

Depart from evil and do good; and you will dwell forever.

28 p orque Jehová ama la rectitud y no desampara a sus santos. Para siempre serán guardados, mas la descendencia de los impíos será destruida.

For the Lord delights in justice and forsakes not His saints; they are preserved forever, but the offspring of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 L os justos heredarán la tierra y vivirán para siempre en ella.

the righteous shall inherit the land and dwell upon it forever.

30 L a boca del justo habla sabiduría y su lengua habla justicia.

The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks with justice.

31 L a Ley de su Dios está en su corazón; por tanto, sus pies no resbalarán.

The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32 E spía el impío al justo y procura matarlo.

The wicked lie in wait for the righteous and seek to put them to death.

33 J ehová no lo dejará en sus manos ni lo condenará cuando lo juzguen.

The Lord will not leave them in their hands, or condemn them when they are judged.

34 E spera en Jehová, guarda su camino, y él te exaltará para heredar la tierra; cuando sean destruidos los pecadores, lo verás.

Wait for and expect the Lord and keep and heed His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

35 V i yo al impío sumamente enaltecido y que se extendía como laurel verde.

I have seen a wicked man in great power and spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil,

36 P ero él pasó, y he aquí ya no estaba; lo busqué, y no lo hallé.

Yet he passed away, and behold, he was not; yes, I sought and inquired for him, but he could not be found.

37 C onsidera al íntegro y mira al justo, porque hay un final dichoso para el hombre de paz.

Mark the blameless man and behold the upright, for there is a happy end for the man of peace.

38 M as los transgresores serán todos a una destruidos; la posteridad de los impíos será extinguida.

As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together; in the end the wicked shall be cut off.

39 P ero la salvación de los justos es de Jehová y él es su fortaleza en el tiempo de angustia.

But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord; He is their Refuge and secure Stronghold in the time of trouble.

40 J ehová los ayudará y los librará; los libertará de los impíos y los salvará, por cuanto en él esperaron.

And the Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they trust and take refuge in Him.
