1 ( По слав. 36.) Давидов псалом. На еврейски език, азбучен псалом. Не се раздразвай поради злотворците, нито завиждай на онези, които вършат беззаконие.

Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness (that which is not upright or in right standing with God).

2 З ащото като трева скоро ще се окосят и като зелена трева ще повехнат.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 У повавай на Господа и върши добро; така ще населиш земята и ще се храниш с увереност.

Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.

4 В есели се също така в Господа и Той ще ти даде измоленото от сърцето ти.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

5 П редай на Господа пътя си; и уповавай на Него и Той ще извърши очакването ти;

Commit your way to the Lord; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.

6 и ще направи да се яви правдата ти като светлината и съдът ти като пладне.

And He will make your uprightness and right standing with God go forth as the light, and your justice and right as the noonday.

7 О блегни се на Господа и чакай Него; не се раздразвай поради този човек, който успява в пътя си, като извършва подлости.

Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

8 П рекрати негодуванието и остави гнева; не се раздразвай, понеже това води само към злотворство.

Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not yourself—it tends only to evildoing.

9 З ащото злотворците ще бъдат изтребени; а онези, които чакат Господа, те ще наследят земята.

For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait and hope and look for the Lord shall inherit the earth.

10 З ащото още малко - и нечестивия няма да го има вече. Да! Внимателно ще изследваш мястото му и няма да се намери.

For yet a little while, and the evildoers will be no more; though you look with care where they used to be, they will not be found.

11 А кротките ще наследят земята и ще се наслаждават на изобилен мир.

But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 Н ечестивият прави заговор против праведния и скърца към него със зъби.

The wicked plot against the righteous (the upright in right standing with God); they gnash at them with their teeth.

13 Г оспод ще му се присмее, понеже вижда, че иде денят му.

The Lord laughs at, for He sees that their own day is coming.

14 Н ечестивите извадиха меч и опънаха лъка си, за да повалят сиромаха и немощния, за да заколят онези, които са с праведно поведение.

The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows to cast down the poor and needy, to slay those who walk uprightly (blameless in conduct and in conversation).

15 М ечът им ще се забие в тяхното сърце и лъковете им ще се строшат.

The swords shall enter their own hearts, and their bows shall be broken.

16 М алкият имот на праведния е по-желателен от богатството на мнозина нечестиви;

Better is the little that the righteous have than the abundance of many who are wrong and wicked.

17 з ащото мишците на нечестивите ще се строшат, а Господ подкрепя праведните.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.

18 Г оспод знае дните на непорочните; и тяхното наследство ще бъде довека.

The Lord knows the days of the upright and blameless, and their heritage will abide forever.

19 Т е няма да се посрамят в лоши времена, в дни на глад ще бъдат сити,

They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 а нечестивите ще загинат и враговете Господни ще бъдат като отбраните агнета, ще чезнат, като дим ще изчезнат.

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs and as the glory of the pastures. They shall vanish; like smoke shall they consume away.

21 Н ечестивият взема назаем и не отплаща; а праведният постъпва благо и дава.

The wicked borrow and pay not again, but the righteous deal kindly and give.

22 З ащото благословените от Господа ще наследят земята; а проклетите от Него ще бъдат изтребени.

For such as are blessed of God shall inherit the earth, but they that are cursed of Him shall be cut off.

23 С тъпките на човека се оправят от Господа; и Неговото благоволение е в пътя Му.

The steps of a man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way.

24 А ко падне, няма да се повали, защото Господ подпира ръката му.

Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps his hand in support and upholds him.

25 М лад бях, ето, остарях, но не съм видял праведния изоставен, нито потомството му да проси хляб.

I have been young and now am old, yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken or their seed begging bread.

26 В секи ден постъпва благо и дава назаем; и потомството му е в благословение.

All day long they are merciful and deal graciously; they lend, and their offspring are blessed.

27 О тклонявай се от зло и върши добро, и ще имаш вечно жилище.

Depart from evil and do good; and you will dwell forever.

28 З ащото Господ обича правосъдие и не изоставя светиите Си; навеки те ще бъдат опазени; а потомството на нечестивите ще бъде изтребено.

For the Lord delights in justice and forsakes not His saints; they are preserved forever, but the offspring of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 П раведните ще наследят земята и ще живеят на нея довека.

the righteous shall inherit the land and dwell upon it forever.

30 У стата на праведния приказва за мъдрост и езикът му говори правосъдие.

The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks with justice.

31 З аконът на неговия Бог е в сърцето му; стъпките му няма да се подхлъзнат.

The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32 Г решният наблюдава праведния и търси да го убие.

The wicked lie in wait for the righteous and seek to put them to death.

33 Г оспод няма да го остави в ръцете му, нито ще го осъди, когато бъде съден.

The Lord will not leave them in their hands, or condemn them when they are judged.

34 Ч акай Господа и пази Неговия път, и Той ще те издигне, за да наследиш земята; когато бъдат изтребени нечестивите, ти ще видиш това.

Wait for and expect the Lord and keep and heed His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

35 В иждал съм нечестивия страшен и разпрострян като зелено дърво на своята си почва;

I have seen a wicked man in great power and spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil,

36 н о когато преминах, ето, нямаше го; търсих го и не го намерих.

Yet he passed away, and behold, he was not; yes, I sought and inquired for him, but he could not be found.

37 З абележи непорочния и гледай праведния; защото миролюбивият човек ще има потомство,

Mark the blameless man and behold the upright, for there is a happy end for the man of peace.

38 а престъпниците всички заедно ще бъдат изтребени; останалите от нечестивите ще бъдат унищожени.

As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together; in the end the wicked shall be cut off.

39 Н о избавлението на праведните е от Господа; Той им е крепост във време на беда.

But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord; He is their Refuge and secure Stronghold in the time of trouble.

40 И Господ ще им помогне и ще ги избави, ще ги избави от нечестивите и ще ги спаси, понеже са прибегнали при Него.

And the Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they trust and take refuge in Him.
