1 И зявеното за Долината на видението пророчество: Какво ти е сега, че си се качил цял на покривите на къщите,

The mournful, inspired prediction (a burden to be lifted up) concerning the Valley of Vision: What do you mean that you have all gone up to the housetops,

2 о , ти, пълен с викове, шумни граде, весели граде? Убитите ти не бяха убити с меч, нито умряха в бой.

You who are full of shouting, a tumultuous city, a joyous and exultant city? your slain warriors have not met death with the sword or in battle.

3 В сичките ти първенци побегнаха заедно, вързани бяха от стрелците; всички твои, които бяха намерени надалеч побегнали, но бяха вързани заедно.

All your leaders have fled together; without the bow they have been taken captive and bound by the archers. All of you who were found were bound together, though they had fled far away.

4 З атова казах: Оставете ме; ще плача горко; не се мъчете да ме утешавате за опустошението на дъщерята на народа ми.

Therefore I said, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly. Do not hasten and try to comfort me over the destruction of the daughter of my people.

5 З ащото в Долината на видението е ден на поражение и тъпкане, и недоумение от Господа, Бога на Силите - ден на събаряне на стените и на викане към планините.

For it is a day of discomfiture and of tumult, of treading down, of confusion and perplexity from the Lord God of hosts in the Valley of Vision, a day of breaking down the walls and of crying to the mountains.

6 И Елам взе колчана, с дружини войници и конници, и Кир откри щита.

And Elam take up the quiver, with troops in chariots, infantry, and horsemen; and Kir uncovered the shield.

7 А когато най-добрите твои долини се напълниха с колесници и конниците се опълчиха при портата,

And it came to pass that your choicest valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen took their station.

8 и той вдигна покривалото на Юдея, то в онзи ден ти обърна погледа си към оръжейницата в кедровата къща.

Then removed the protective covering of Judah; and you looked to the weapons in the House of the Forest in that day.

9 И като видяхте, че проломите на Давидовия град са много, събрахте водите на долния водоем

You saw that the breaches of the City of David were many; you collected the waters of the Lower Pool.

10 и като изброихте къщите на Йерусалим и развалихте къщите, за да укрепите стената,

And you numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall.

11 н аправихте и нов водоем между двете стени за водата на стария водоем; но не погледнахте към Онзи, Който стори това, нито обърнахте внимание на Този, Който го беше приготвил отдавна.

You also made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the Old Pool, but you did not look to the Maker of it, nor did you recognize Him Who planned it long ago.

12 В онзи ден Господ Йехова на Силите ви призова към плач и жалеене, към обръсване на главата и опасване с вретище.

And in that day the Lord God of hosts called you to weeping and mourning, to the shaving off of all your hair and to the girding with sackcloth.

13 Н о ето радост и веселие, клане на говеда и овце, ядене на месо и пиене на вино! И казват: Да ядем и да пием, защото утре ще умрем.

But instead, see the pleasure and mirth, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine, Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!

14 Т огава от Господа на Силите се откри в ушите ми това: Наистина това беззаконие няма да се очисти от вас, докато умрете, казва Господ Йехова на Силите.

And the Lord of hosts revealed Himself in my ears, Surely this unatoned sin shall not be purged from you until death, says the Lord God of hosts.

15 Т ака казва Господ Йехова на Силите: Иди, влез при този началник, при домоуправителя Шевна, и му кажи:

Come, go to this steward and treasurer, to Shebna, who is over the house, and say to him,

16 К акво правиш тук? И кого имаш тук свой ? Че изсичаш тук гроб за себе си, правиш си гроб нависоко, изсичаш си в камъка обиталище!

What business have you here? And whom have you entombed here, that you have the right to hew out for yourself a tomb here? He hews out a sepulcher for himself on the height! He carves out a dwelling for himself in the rock!

17 Е то, Господ като силен мъж ще те захвърли. Да, като те улови здраво,

Behold, the Lord will hurl you away violently, O you strong man; yes, He will take tight hold of you and He will surely cover you.

18 щ е те навие и ще те метне като топка в широка земя; там ще умреш и там, вместо славните ти колесници, ще има срам на дома на господаря ти.

He will surely roll you up in a bundle and toss you like a ball into a large country; there you will die and there will be your splendid chariots, you disgrace to your master’s house!

19 Щ е те оттласна от чина ти и от положението ти ще те свалят.

And I will thrust you from your office, and from your station will you be pulled down.

20 В онзи ден ще извикам слугата Си Елиаким, Хелкиевия син,

And in that day I will call My servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah.

21 и като го облека с твоето облекло и го стегна с твоя пояс, ще предам властта ти в неговата ръка и той ще бъде един баща на йерусалимските жители и на Юдейския дом.

And I will clothe him with your robe and will bind your girdle on him and will commit your authority to his hand; he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.

22 И ще положа на рамото му ключа на Давидовия дом; той ще отваря и никой няма да затваря, и ще затваря и никой няма да отваря;

And the key of the house of David I will lay upon his shoulder; he shall open and no one shall shut, he shall shut and no one shall open.

23 и ще го закрепя като гвоздей на твърдо място; и той ще бъде славен престол на бащиния си дом;

And I will fasten him like a peg or nail in a firm place; and he will become a throne of honor and glory to his father’s house.

24 и на него ще окачат цялата слава на бащиния му дом - децата и внуците, всички малки съдове, от съдове като чаши до всички съдове като мехове.

And they will hang on him the honor and the whole weight of his father’s house: the offspring and issue, every small vessel, from the cups even to all the flasks and big bulging bottles.

25 В онзи ден, казва Господ на Силите, закрепеният на твърдо място гвоздей ще се разклати и ще се счупи, и ще падне, и товарът, който висеше на него, ще се срине; защото Господ е изговорил това.

In that day, says the Lord of hosts, the nail or peg that was fastened into the sure place shall give way and be moved and be hewn down and fall, and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off; for the Lord has spoken it.
