1 Г орко на непокорните деца, казва Господ, които се съветват, но не с Мен, и които сключват договори, но не чрез Моя Дух, и прибавят грях към грях;

Woe to the rebellious children, says the Lord, who take counsel and carry out a plan, but not Mine, and who make a league and pour out a drink offering, but not of My Spirit, thus adding sin to sin;

2 к оито отиват, за да слязат в Египет, без да се допитват до Моите уста, за да се закрепят със силата на фараона и да прибегнат под сянката на Египет!

Who set out to go down into Egypt, and have not asked Me—to flee to the stronghold of Pharaoh and to strengthen themselves in his strength and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!

3 З атова фараоновата сила ще ви бъде за срам и прибягването под египетската сянка - за смущение.

Therefore shall the strength and protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt be to your humiliation and confusion.

4 З ащото началниците му отидоха в Танис и посланиците му дойдоха в Ханес.

For though officials are at Zoan and his ambassadors arrive at Hanes,

5 Т е всички ще се срамуват поради хора, които не могат да ги ползват, нито да бъдат помощ или полза, а са за срам и дори за укор.

Yet will all be ashamed because of a people who cannot profit them, who are not a help or benefit, but a shame and disgrace.

6 И зявеното пророчество за южните животни: През наскърбената и измъчена земя, където има лъвица и силен лъв, ехидна и летяща змия - усойница, занасят богатството си на плещите на оселчетата и съкровищата си - на гърбицата на камилите, при хора, които няма да ги ползват,

A mournful, inspired prediction (a burden to be lifted up) concerning the beasts of the South (the Negeb): Oh, the heavy burden, the load of treasures going to Egypt! Through a land of trouble and anguish, in which are lioness and lion, viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches upon the shoulders of young donkeys, and their treasures upon the humps of camels, to a people that will not and cannot profit them.

For Egypt’s help is worthless and toward no purpose. Therefore I have called her Rahab Who Sits Still.

8 С ега иди, напиши това пред тях на дъсчица и го отбележи в книга, за да остане за бъдещото време за свидетелство довека:

Now, go, write it before them on a tablet and inscribe it in a book, that it may be as a witness for the time to come forevermore.

9 ч е те са непокорен народ, деца - лъжци, деца, които не искат да слушат поуката Господня,

For this is a rebellious people, faithless and lying sons, children who will not hear the law and instruction of the Lord;

10 к оито казват на ясновидците: Не гледайте, и на пророците: Не ни пророкувайте правото, а ни говорите ласкателно, пророкувайте измами,

Who say to the seers, See not! and to the prophets, Prophesy not to us what is right! Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceitful illusions.

11 о тстъпете от пътя, отклонете се от пътеката, махнете отпред нас Святия Израелев.

Get out of the true way, turn aside out of the path, cease holding up before us the Holy One of Israel.

12 З атова така казва Святият Израелев: Понеже презирате това слово и уповавате на насилието и извратеността, и се опирате на тях,

Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel: Because you despise and spurn this word and trust in cunning and oppression, in crookedness and perverseness, and rely on them,

13 п о тази причина това беззаконие ще ви бъде като пропукана част на издатина на висока стена, готова да падне, чието рухване става внезапно - в един миг.

Therefore this iniquity and guilt will be to you like a broken section of a high wall, bulging out and ready to fall, whose crash will come suddenly and swiftly, in an instant.

14 И Той ще я разломи, строшавайки я безпощадно, както се чупи глинен съд, така че между частите му да не се намира и парченце, в което някой да вземе огън от огнището или да гребне вода от водоема.

And he shall break it as a potter’s vessel is broken, breaking it in pieces without sparing so that there cannot be found among its pieces one large enough to carry coals of fire from the hearth or to dip water out of the cistern.

15 З ащото така казва Господ Йехова, Святият Израелев: Чрез завръщане и почивка ще се избавите, в безмълвие и увереност ще бъде силата ви; но вие не искахте това;

For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and resting you shall be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. But you would not,

16 а казахте: Не, а ще побегнем с коне; затова ще бягате; и: Ще яздим на бързи животни; затова и онези, които ви гонят, ще бъдат бързи.

And you said, No! We will speed on horses! Therefore you will speed! You said, We will ride upon swift steeds! Therefore will they who pursue you be swift,

17 Щ е бягате - хиляда души под заплахата на един или под заплахата на петима, докато останете като оголено дърво на планински връх и като знаме на хълм.

One thousand of you will flee at the threat of one of them; at the threat of five you will flee till you are left like a beacon or a flagpole on the top of a mountain, and like a signal on a hill.

18 З атова Господ ще чака, за да се смили над вас, и по тази причина ще се превъзнесе, за да ви пожали; защото Господ е Бог правосъдещ; блажени всички, които Го чакат.

And therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him!

19 О , народе, който живееш в Сион, в Йерусалим, ти няма вече да плачеш; Той наистина ще се смили над тебе при гласа на вопъла ти; когато го чуе, ще ти отговори.

O people who dwell in Zion at Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you.

20 Д ори и Господ да ви даде хляб на скръб и вода на утеснение, пак учителите ти няма да бъдат скрити вече, но очите ти ще виждат учителите ти;

And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide Himself any more, but your eyes will constantly behold your Teacher.

21 и ушите ти ще слушат зад тебе слово, което, когато се отклонявате надясно и когато се отклонявате наляво, ще казва: Този е пътят, вървете по него.

And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.

22 Т огава вие ще сметнете за гнусно среброто, с което са обковани изваяните ви идоли, и златото, с което са облечени излетите ви идоли; ще ги отхвърлите като нещо нечисто, ще кажете на всеки от тях: Махни се оттук.

Then you will defile your carved images overlaid with silver and your molten images plated with gold; you will cast them away as a filthy bloodstained cloth, and you will say to them, Be gone!

23 И Господ ще даде дъжд за семето ти, с което ще посееш нивата си, и хляб от земното плодородие, който ще бъде хранителен и в изобилие, и в онова време добитъкът ти ще пасе в широки паши,

Then will He give you rain for the seed with which you sow the soil, and bread grain from the produce of the ground, and it will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will feed in large pastures.

24 с ъщо и воловете и оселчетата, които работят земята, ще ядат вкусна зоб, веяна с лопата и веяло.

The oxen likewise and the young donkeys that till the ground will eat savory and salted fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and with fork.

25 И ще има на всяка висока планина и на всяко високо бърдо реки и водни потоци - в деня на голямото клане, когато кулите паднат.

And upon every high mountain and upon every high hill there will be brooks and streams of water in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

26 П ри това светлината на луната ще бъде като светлината на слънцето и светлината на слънцето ще бъде седмократна - като светлината на седем дни, в деня, когато Господ превързва раната на народа Си и изцелява поражението от удара върху тях.

Moreover, the light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, like the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord binds up the hurt of His people, and heals their wound.

27 Е то, името на Господа иде отдалеч; гневът Му е пламнал и гъстият Му дим се издига; устните Му са пълни с негодувание, езикът Му е като поглъщащ огън

Behold, the Name of the Lord comes from afar, burning with His anger, and in thick, rising smoke. His lips are full of indignation, and His tongue is like a consuming fire.

28 и диханието Му - като прелял поток, който достига дори до шия; за да пресее народите в ситото на погубването; и в челюстите на племената ще има юзда, която ще ги накара да се заблуждават.

And His breath is like an overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction; and a bridle that causes them to err will be in the jaws of the people.

29 У вас ще има песен, както в нощта на тържествен празник, и сърдечна веселба, както когато тръгват със свирки, за да отидат при канарата Израелева, на Господния хълм.

You shall have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart as when one marches in procession with a flute to go to the temple on the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.

30 И Господ ще направи да се чуе славният Му глас и да се види тежкият замах на мишцата Му с гневно негодувание и с пламък на поглъщащ огън, с буен дъжд, с буря и с едър град.

And the Lord shall cause His glorious voice to be heard and the descending blow of His arm to be seen, coming down with indignant anger and with the flame of a devouring fire, amid crashing blast and cloudburst, tempest, and hailstones.

31 З ащото асириецът, който удря с жезъл, ще бъде смазан чрез гласа Господен.

At the voice of the Lord the Assyrians will be stricken with dismay and terror, when He smites them with His rod.

32 И всеки удар със съдбоносния жезъл, който Господ ще сложи върху него, ще бъде с тъпанчета и арфи; и с потресаващи боеве ще воюва против тях.

And every passing stroke of the staff of punishment and doom which the Lord lays upon them shall be to the sound of timbrels and lyres, when in battle He attacks with swinging and menacing arms.

33 З ащото Тофет отдавна е приготвен. Да! За царя приготвен; той го направи дълбок и широк; клада има в него и много дърва; диханието Господне, като поток от сяра, ще го запали.

For Topheth has already been laid out and long ago prepared; yes, for the king and Molech it has been made ready, its pyre made deep and large, with fire and much wood; the breath of the Lord, like a stream of brimstone, kindles it.
