1 Г оре непокорным сынам, говорит Господь, которые делают совещания, но без Меня, и заключают союзы, но не по духу Моему, чтобы прилагать грех ко греху:

Woe to the rebellious children, says the Lord, who take counsel and carry out a plan, but not Mine, and who make a league and pour out a drink offering, but not of My Spirit, thus adding sin to sin;

2 н е вопросив уст Моих, идут в Египет, чтобы подкрепить себя силою фараона и укрыться под тенью Египта.

Who set out to go down into Egypt, and have not asked Me—to flee to the stronghold of Pharaoh and to strengthen themselves in his strength and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!

3 Н о сила фараона будет для вас стыдом, и убежище под тенью Египта--бесчестием;

Therefore shall the strength and protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt be to your humiliation and confusion.

4 п отому что князья его уже в Цоане, и послы его дошли до Ханеса.

For though officials are at Zoan and his ambassadors arrive at Hanes,

5 В се они будут постыжены из-за народа, бесполезен для них; не будет от него ни помощи, ни пользы, но--стыд и срам.

Yet will all be ashamed because of a people who cannot profit them, who are not a help or benefit, but a shame and disgrace.

6 Т яжести на животных, на юг, по земле угнетения и тесноты, откуда львицы и львы, аспиды и летучие змеи; они несут на хребтах ослов богатства свои и на горбах верблюдов сокровища свои к народу, который не принесет им пользы.

A mournful, inspired prediction (a burden to be lifted up) concerning the beasts of the South (the Negeb): Oh, the heavy burden, the load of treasures going to Egypt! Through a land of trouble and anguish, in which are lioness and lion, viper and fiery flying serpent, they carry their riches upon the shoulders of young donkeys, and their treasures upon the humps of camels, to a people that will not and cannot profit them.

7 И бо помощь Египта будет тщетна и напрасна; потому Я сказал им: сила их--сидеть спокойно.

For Egypt’s help is worthless and toward no purpose. Therefore I have called her Rahab Who Sits Still.

8 Т еперь пойди, начертай это на доске у них, и впиши это в книгу, чтобы осталось на будущее время, навсегда, навеки.

Now, go, write it before them on a tablet and inscribe it in a book, that it may be as a witness for the time to come forevermore.

9 И бо это народ мятежный, дети лживые, дети, которые не хотят слушать закона Господня,

For this is a rebellious people, faithless and lying sons, children who will not hear the law and instruction of the Lord;

10 к оторые провидящим говорят: 'перестаньте провидеть', и пророкам: 'не пророчествуйте нам правды, говорите нам лестное, предсказывайте приятное;

Who say to the seers, See not! and to the prophets, Prophesy not to us what is right! Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceitful illusions.

11 с ойдите с дороги, уклонитесь от пути; устраните от глаз наших Святаго Израилева.'

Get out of the true way, turn aside out of the path, cease holding up before us the Holy One of Israel.

12 П осему так говорит Святый Израилев: так как вы отвергаете слово сие, а надеетесь на обман и неправду, и опираетесь на то:

Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel: Because you despise and spurn this word and trust in cunning and oppression, in crookedness and perverseness, and rely on them,

13 т о беззаконие это будет для вас, как угрожающая падением трещина, обнаружившаяся в высокой стене, которой разрушение настанет внезапно, в одно мгновение.

Therefore this iniquity and guilt will be to you like a broken section of a high wall, bulging out and ready to fall, whose crash will come suddenly and swiftly, in an instant.

14 И Он разрушит ее, как сокрушают глиняный сосуд, разбивая его без пощады, так что в обломках его не найдется и черепка, чтобы взять огня с очага или зачерпнуть воды из водоема;

And he shall break it as a potter’s vessel is broken, breaking it in pieces without sparing so that there cannot be found among its pieces one large enough to carry coals of fire from the hearth or to dip water out of the cistern.

15 и бо так говорит Господь Бог, Святый Израилев: оставаясь на месте и в покое, вы спаслись бы; в тишине и уповании крепость ваша; но вы не хотели

For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and resting you shall be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. But you would not,

16 и говорили: 'нет, мы на конях убежим', --за то и побежите; 'мы на быстрых ускачем', --за то и преследующие вас будут быстры.

And you said, No! We will speed on horses! Therefore you will speed! You said, We will ride upon swift steeds! Therefore will they who pursue you be swift,

17 О т угрозы одного тысяча, от угрозы пятерых побежите так, что остаток ваш будет как веха на вершине горы и как знамя на холме.

One thousand of you will flee at the threat of one of them; at the threat of five you will flee till you are left like a beacon or a flagpole on the top of a mountain, and like a signal on a hill.

18 И потому Господь медлит, чтобы помиловать вас, и потому еще удерживается, чтобы сжалиться над вами; ибо Господь есть Бог правды: блаженны все уповающие на Него!

And therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him!

19 Н арод будет жить на Сионе в Иерусалиме; ты не будешь много плакать, --Он помилует тебя, по голосу вопля твоего, и как только услышит его, ответит тебе.

O people who dwell in Zion at Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you.

20 И даст вам Господь хлеб в горести и воду в нужде; и учители твои уже не будут скрываться, и глаза твои будут видеть учителей твоих;

And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide Himself any more, but your eyes will constantly behold your Teacher.

21 и уши твои будут слышать слово, говорящее позади тебя: 'вот путь, идите по нему', если бы вы уклонились направо и если бы вы уклонились налево.

And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.

22 Т огда вы будете считать скверною оклад идолов из серебра твоего и оклад истуканов из золота твоего; ты бросишь их, как нечистоту; ты скажешь им: прочь отсюда.

Then you will defile your carved images overlaid with silver and your molten images plated with gold; you will cast them away as a filthy bloodstained cloth, and you will say to them, Be gone!

23 И Он даст дождь на семя твое, которым засеешь поле, и хлеб, плод земли, и он будет обилен и сочен; стада твои в тот день будут пастись на обширных пастбищах.

Then will He give you rain for the seed with which you sow the soil, and bread grain from the produce of the ground, and it will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will feed in large pastures.

24 И волы и ослы, возделывающие поле, будут есть корм соленый, очищенный лопатою и веялом.

The oxen likewise and the young donkeys that till the ground will eat savory and salted fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and with fork.

25 И на всякой горе высокой и на всяком холме возвышенном потекут ручьи, потоки вод, в день великого поражения, когда упадут башни.

And upon every high mountain and upon every high hill there will be brooks and streams of water in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

26 И свет луны будет, как свет солнца, а свет солнца будет светлее всемеро, как свет семи дней, в тот день, когда Господь обвяжет рану народа Своего и исцелит нанесенные ему язвы.

Moreover, the light of the moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, like the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord binds up the hurt of His people, and heals their wound.

27 В от, имя Господа идет издали, горит гнев Его, и пламя его сильно, уста Его исполнены негодования, и язык Его, как огонь поедающий,

Behold, the Name of the Lord comes from afar, burning with His anger, and in thick, rising smoke. His lips are full of indignation, and His tongue is like a consuming fire.

28 и дыхание Его, как разлившийся поток, который поднимается даже до шеи, чтобы развеять народы до истощания; и будет в челюстях народов узда, направляющая к заблуждению.

And His breath is like an overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction; and a bridle that causes them to err will be in the jaws of the people.

29 А у вас будут песни, как в ночь священного праздника, и веселие сердца, как у идущего со свирелью на гору Господню, к твердыне Израилевой.

You shall have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart as when one marches in procession with a flute to go to the temple on the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.

30 И возгремит Господь величественным гласом Своим и явит тяготеющую мышцу Свою в сильном гневе и в пламени поедающего огня, в буре и в наводнении и в каменном граде.

And the Lord shall cause His glorious voice to be heard and the descending blow of His arm to be seen, coming down with indignant anger and with the flame of a devouring fire, amid crashing blast and cloudburst, tempest, and hailstones.

31 И бо от гласа Господа содрогнется Ассур, жезлом поражаемый.

At the voice of the Lord the Assyrians will be stricken with dismay and terror, when He smites them with His rod.

32 И всякое движение определенного ему жезла, который Господь направит на него, будет с тимпанами и цитрами, и Он пойдет против него войною опустошительною.

And every passing stroke of the staff of punishment and doom which the Lord lays upon them shall be to the sound of timbrels and lyres, when in battle He attacks with swinging and menacing arms.

33 И бо Тофет давно уже устроен; он приготовлен и для царя, глубок и широк; в костре его много огня и дров; дуновение Господа, как поток серы, зажжет его.

For Topheth has already been laid out and long ago prepared; yes, for the king and Molech it has been made ready, its pyre made deep and large, with fire and much wood; the breath of the Lord, like a stream of brimstone, kindles it.
