1 ( 34-1) ^^Псалом Давида.^^ Вступись, Господи, в тяжбу с тяжущимися со мною, побори борющихся со мною;

Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me!

2 ( 34-2) возьми щит и латы и восстань на помощь мне;

Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help!

3 ( 34-3) обнажи мечь и прегради преследующим меня; скажи душе моей: 'Я--спасение твое!'

Draw out also the spear and javelin and close up the way of those who pursue and persecute me. Say to me, I am your deliverance!

4 ( 34-4) Да постыдятся и посрамятся ищущие души моей; да обратятся назад и покроются бесчестием умышляющие мне зло;

Let them be put to shame and dishonor who seek and require my life; let them be turned back and confounded who plan my hurt!

5 ( 34-5) да будут они, как прах пред лицем ветра, и Ангел Господень да прогоняет;

Let them be as chaff before the wind, with the Angel of the Lord driving them on!

6 ( 34-6) да будет путь их темен и скользок, и Ангел Господень да преследует их,

Let their way be through dark and slippery places, with the Angel of the Lord pursuing and afflicting them.

7 ( 34-7) ибо они без вины скрыли для меня яму--сеть свою, без вины выкопали для души моей.

For without cause they hid for me their net; a pit of destruction without cause they dug for my life.

8 ( 34-8) Да придет на него гибель неожиданная, и сеть его, которую он скрыл, да уловит его самого; да впадет в нее на погибель.

Let destruction befall unawares; let the net he hid for me catch him; let him fall into that very destruction.

9 ( 34-9) А моя душа будет радоваться о Господе, будет веселиться о спасении от Него.

Then I shall be joyful in the Lord; I shall rejoice in His deliverance.

10 ( 34-10) Все кости мои скажут: 'Господи! кто подобен Тебе, избавляющему слабого от сильного, бедного и нищего от грабителя его?'

All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like You, You Who deliver the poor and the afflicted from him who is too strong for him, yes, the poor and the needy from him who snatches away his goods?

11 ( 34-11) Восстали на меня свидетели неправедные: чего я не знаю, о том допрашивают меня;

Malicious and unrighteous witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I know not.

12 ( 34-12) воздают мне злом за добро, сиротством душе моей.

They reward me evil for good to my personal bereavement.

13 ( 34-13) Я во время болезни их одевался во вретище, изнурял постом душу мою, и молитва моя возвращалась в недро мое.

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I afflicted myself with fasting, and I prayed with head bowed on my breast.

14 ( 34-14) Я поступал, как бы это был друг мой, брат мой; я ходил скорбный, с поникшею головою, как бы оплакивающий мать.

I behaved as if grieving for my friend or my brother; I bowed down in sorrow, as one who bewails his mother.

15 ( 34-15) А когда я претыкался, они радовались и собирались; собирались ругатели против меня, не знаю за что, поносили и не переставали;

But in my stumbling and limping they rejoiced and gathered together; the smiters (slanderers and revilers) gathered against me, and I knew them not; they ceased not to slander and revile me.

16 ( 34-16) с лицемерными насмешниками скрежетали на меня зубами своими.

Like profane mockers at feasts they gnashed at me with their teeth.

17 ( 34-17) Господи! долго ли будешь смотреть ? Отведи душу мою от злодейств их, от львов--одинокую мою.

Lord, how long will You look on ? Rescue my life from their destructions, my dear and only life from the lions!

18 ( 34-18) Я прославлю Тебя в собрании великом, среди народа многочисленного восхвалю Тебя,

I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among a mighty throng.

19 ( 34-19) чтобы не торжествовали надо мною враждующие против меня неправедно, и не перемигивались глазами ненавидящие меня безвинно;

Let not those who are wrongfully my foes rejoice over me; neither let them wink with the eye who hate me without cause.

20 ( 34-20) ибо не о мире говорят они, но против мирных земли составляют лукавые замыслы;

For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful matters against those who are quiet in the land.

21 ( 34-21) расширяют на меня уста свои; говорят: 'хорошо! хорошо! видел глаз наш'.

Yes, they open their mouths wide against me; they say, Aha! Aha! Our eyes have seen it!

22 ( 34-22) Ты видел, Господи, не умолчи; Господи! не удаляйся от меня.

You have seen this, O Lord; keep not silence! O Lord, be not far from me!

23 ( 34-23) Подвигнись, пробудись для суда моего, для тяжбы моей, Боже мой и Господи мой!

Arouse Yourself, awake to the justice due me, even to my cause, my God and my Lord!

24 ( 34-24) Суди меня по правде Твоей, Господи, Боже мой, и да не торжествуют они надо мною;

Judge and vindicate me, O Lord my God, according to Your righteousness (Your rightness and justice); and let not rejoice over me!

25 ( 34-25) да не говорят в сердце своем: 'хорошо! по душе нашей!' Да не говорят: 'мы поглотили его'.

Let them not say in their hearts, Aha, that is what we wanted! Let them not say, We have swallowed him up and utterly destroyed him.

26 ( 34-26) Да постыдятся и посрамятся все, радующиеся моему несчастью; да облекутся в стыд и позор величающиеся надо мною.

Let them be put to shame and confusion together who rejoice at my calamity! Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify and exalt themselves over me!

27 ( 34-27) Да радуются и веселятся желающие правоты моей и говорят непрестанно: 'да возвеличится Господь, желающий мира рабу Своему!'

Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.

28 ( 34-28) И язык мой будет проповедывать правду Твою и хвалу Твою всякий день.

And my tongue shall talk of Your righteousness, rightness, and justice, and of Your praise all the day long.
