1 В нимавайте да не вършите делата на правдата си пред човеците, за да ви виждат; иначе нямате награда при своя Отец, Който е на небесата.

Take care not to do your good deeds publicly or before men, in order to be seen by them; otherwise you will have no reward '> reserved for and awaiting you] with and from your Father Who is in heaven.

2 И така, когато правиш милостиня, не тръби пред себе си, както правят лицемерите по синагогите и по улиците, за да бъдат похвалени от човеците. Истина ви казвам: Те са получили вече своята награда.

Thus, whenever you give to the poor, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites in the synagogues and in the streets like to do, that they may be recognized and honored and praised by men. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already.

3 А когато ти правиш милостиня, нека лявата ти ръка не узнае какво прави дясната,

But when you give to charity, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

4 з а да става твоята милостиня в тайно; и твоят Отец, Който вижда в тайно, ще ти въздаде наяве. За молитвата

So that your deeds of charity may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly.

5 И когато се молите, не бъдете като лицемерите; защото те обичат да се молят, стоящи по синагогите и по ъглите на улиците, за да ги виждат човеците. Истина ви казвам: Те са получили вече своята награда.

Also when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already.

6 А ти, когато се молиш, влез във вътрешната си стаичка и като си затвориш вратата, помоли се на своя Отец, Който е в тайно; и твоят Отец, Който вижда в тайно, ще ти въздаде наяве.

But when you pray, go into your private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.

7 А когато се молите, не говорете излишни думи, както езичниците; защото те мислят, че ще бъдат послушани заради многословието си.

And when you pray, do not heap up phrases (multiply words, repeating the same ones over and over) as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard for their much speaking.

8 И така, не бъдете като тях; защото вашият Отец знае от какво се нуждаете, преди вие да Му поискате.

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

9 А вие се молете така: Отче наш, Който си на небесата, да се свети Твоето име!

Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name.

10 Д а дойде Твоето царство; да бъде Твоята воля както на небето, така и на земята!

Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Д ай ни днес насъщния хляб;

Give us this day our daily bread.

12 и прости ни дълговете, както и ние простихме на нашите длъжници.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven ( left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against) our debtors.

13 И не ни въвеждай в изкушение, но избави ни от лукавия. Защото е Твое царството и силата, и славата, до вековете. Амин!

And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

14 З ащото ако вие простите на човеците прегрешенията им, то и небесният ви Отец ще прости на вас.

For if you forgive people their trespasses '> reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

15 Н о ако вие не простите на човеците прегрешенията им, то и вашият Отец няма да прости вашите прегрешения.

But if you do not forgive others their trespasses '> reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.

16 А когато постите, не бъдете унили като лицемерите; защото те помрачават лицата си, за да ги виждат човеците, че постят. Истина ви казвам: Те са получили вече своята награда.

And whenever you are fasting, do not look gloomy and sour and dreary like the hypocrites, for they put on a dismal countenance, that their fasting may be apparent to and seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full already.

17 А ти, когато постиш, помажи главата си и умий лицето си,

But when you fast, perfume your head and wash your face,

18 з а да не си личи пред човеците, че постиш, а само пред твоя Отец, Който е в тайно; и твоят Отец, Който вижда в тайно, ще ти въздаде наяве. Съкровища на небето

So that your fasting may not be noticed by men but by your Father, Who sees in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.

19 Н е си събирайте съкровища на земята, където молец и ръжда ги разяждат и където крадци подкопават и крадат.

Do not gather and heap up and store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust and worm consume and destroy, and where thieves break through and steal.

20 А си събирайте съкровища на небето, където молец и ръжда не ги разяждат и където крадци не подкопават, нито крадат;

But gather and heap up and store for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust nor worm consume and destroy, and where thieves do not break through and steal;

21 з ащото, където е съкровището ти, там ще бъде и сърцето ти.

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

22 О кото е светило на тялото. И така, ако окото ти е чисто, цялото ти тяло ще бъде осветено;

The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is sound, your entire body will be full of light.

23 н о ако окото ти е лукаво, то цялото ти тяло ще бъде помрачено. И така, ако светлината в теб е тъмнина, то колко голяма ще е тъмнината!

But if your eye is unsound, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the very light in you '> conscience] is darkened, how dense is that darkness!

24 Н икой не може да слугува на двама господари, защото или ще намрази единия, а ще обикне другия, или към единия ще се привърже, а другия ще презира. Не можете да слугувате на Бога и на мамона! Упование на Бога или грижи за земното

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon ( deceitful riches, money, possessions, or whatever is trusted in).

25 З атова ви казвам: Не се безпокойте за живота си - какво ще ядете или какво ще пиете, нито за тялото си - какво ще облечете. Не е ли животът повече от храната и тялото - от облеклото?

Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater than food, and the body than clothing?

26 П огледнете небесните птици, че не сеят, нито жънат, нито в житници събират; и пак небесният ви Отец ги храни. Вие не сте ли много по-скъпи от тях?

Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?

27 И кой от вас може с грижа за себе си да прибави един лакът към ръста си?

And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life?

28 И за облекло защо се безпокоите? Наблюдавайте полските лилии как растат - не се трудят, нито предат;

And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin.

29 н о ви казвам, че дори Соломон в цялата си слава не се е обличал като някоя от тях.

Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Н о ако Бог така облича полската трева, която днес я има, а утре я хвърлят в пещ, няма ли много повече да облича вас, маловерци?

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 И така, не се безпокойте и не казвайте: Какво ще ядем?, или: Какво ще пием?, или: Какво ще облечем?

Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?

32 ( защото всичко това търсят езичниците), понеже небесният ви Отец знае, че се нуждаете от всичко това.

For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.

33 Н о първо търсете Неговото царство и Неговата правда; и всичко това ще ви се прибави.

But seek ( aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness ( His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

34 З атова не се безпокойте за утре, защото утрешният ден ще се безпокои за себе си. Достатъчна е на всеки ден неговата злоба.

So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.
