1 В идението на Амосовия син Исая, което видя за Юдея и Йерусалим в дните на Юдейските царе Озия, Йотам, Ахаз и Езекия:

The vision of Isaiah son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

2 Ч уйте, небеса, и дай ухо, земльо. Защото Господ е говорил, като е казал: Деца отхраних и възпитах; но те се разбунтуваха против Мене.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the Lord has spoken: I have nourished and brought up sons and have made them great and exalted, but they have rebelled against Me and broken away from Me.

3 В олът познава стопанина си и оселът - яслите на господаря си; но Израел не знае, народът Ми не разсъждава.

The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib, but Israel does not know or recognize Me, My people do not consider or understand.

4 У ви, грешни народе, народ, натоварен с беззаконие, роде на злодеи, деца, които постъпвате разтленно! Изоставиха Господа, презряха Святия Израелев, отделиха се и се върнаха назад.

Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, sons who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have despised and shown contempt and provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger, they have become utterly estranged (alienated).

5 З ащо да бъдете още бити, че се бунтувате повече и повече? Вече всяка глава е болна и всяко сърце - изнемощяло;

Why should you be stricken and punished any more ? You will revolt more and more. The whole head is sick, and the whole heart is faint (feeble, sick, and nauseated).

6 о т стъпалото на крака дори до главата няма в някое тяло здраво място, а струпеи и синини, и гноясали рани, които не са почистени, нито превързани, нито омекчени с масло.

From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness or health in —but wounds and bruises and fresh and bleeding stripes; they have not been pressed out and closed up or bound up or softened with oil.

7 С траната ви е пуста, градовете ви - изгорени с огън; земята ви - чужденци я пояждат пред очите ви, и тя е пуста като разорена от чужденци.

your country lies desolate, your cities are burned with fire; your land—strangers devour it in your very presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by aliens.

8 И сионовата дъщеря е оставена като колиба в лозе, като навес в градина с краставици, като обсаден град.

And the Daughter of Zion is left like a booth in a vineyard, like a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, like a besieged city.

9 А ко Господ на Силите не беше ни оставил малък остатък, като Содом бихме станали, на Гомор бихме заприличали.

Except the Lord of hosts had left us a very small remnant, we should have been like Sodom, and we should have been like Gomorrah.

10 Ч уйте словото Господне, князе содомски; слушайте поуката на нашия Бог, народе гоморски.

Hear the word of the Lord, you rulers or judges of Sodom! Give ear to the law and the teaching of our God, you people of Gomorrah!

11 З ащо Ми е големият брой на жертвите ви? Господ казва: Сит съм от всеизгаряне на овни и от тлъстина на угоени; и не Ми е угодна кръв от телета или от агнета, или от едри козли.

To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me ? says the Lord. I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fed beasts; and I do not delight in the blood of bulls or of lambs or of he-goats.

12 К огато идвате да се явявате пред Мене, кой е поискал от вас това, да тъпчете дворовете Ми?

When you come to appear before Me, who requires of you that your trample My courts?

13 Н е принасяйте вече суетни приноси; тамянът е мерзост за Мене, също и новолунията, и съботите, и свикването на събранията; не мога да търпя беззаконието заедно с тържественото събрание.

Bring no more offerings of vanity (emptiness, falsity, vainglory, and futility); incense is an abomination to Me; the New Moons and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot endure— iniquity and profanation, even the solemn meeting.

14 Д ушата Ми мрази новолунията ви и празниците ви; досада са за Мене; дотегна Ми да ги търпя.

Your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts My soul hates. They are an oppressive burden to Me; I am weary of bearing them.

15 И когато простирате ръцете си, ще крия очите Си от вас; даже когато принасяте много молитви, не искам да слушам; ръцете ви са пълни с кръв.

And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood!

16 И змийте се, очистете се, отстранете от очите Ми злото на делата си, престанете да вършите зло.

Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes! Cease to do evil,

17 Н аучете се да правите добро, настоявайте за правосъдие, поправяйте угнетителя, отсъждайте право на сирачето, застъпвайте се за вдовицата.

Learn to do right! Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.

18 Е лате сега, за да разискваме, казва Господ; ако греховете ви са като мораво, ще станат бели като сняг; ако са румени като червено, ще станат като бяла въ̀лна.

Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.

19 А ко слушате на драго сърце, ще ядете благото на земята;

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;

20 н о ако откажете и се разбунтувате, ще бъдете изпосечени с меч, защото устата Господни изговориха това.

But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.

21 К ак стана блудница верният град, който беше пълен с правосъдие! Правда обитаваше в него, а сега - убийци.

How the faithful city has become an harlot, she who was full of justice! Uprightness and right standing with God lodged in her—but now murderers.

22 С реброто ти стана шлак; виното ти се смеси с вода.

Your silver has become dross, your wine is mixed with water.

23 Т воите князе са бунтовници и съучастници на крадци; всеки от тях обича подкупи и тича след възнаграждения; те не осъждат право сирачето, нито идва при тях делото на вдовицата.

Your princes are rebels and companions of thieves; everyone loves bribes and runs after compensation and rewards. They judge not for the fatherless nor defend them, neither does the cause of the widow come to them.

24 З атова, казва Господ, Йехова на Силите, Всемогъщият Израелев: Ах! Ще се облекча от противниците Си и ще отдам възмездие на враговете Си;

Therefore says the Lord, the Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will appease Myself on My adversaries and avenge Myself on My enemies.

25 и пак ще сложа ръката Си върху теб и ще очистя шлака ти като с луга, и ще отделя от тебе всеки примес;

And I will bring My hand again upon you and thoroughly purge away your dross and take away all your tin or alloy.

26 и ще възстановя съдиите ти, както по-рано, и съветниците ти, както отначало; след което ще се наречеш Град на правда, Верен град;

And I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning; afterward you shall be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City.

27 С ион ще се изкупи чрез правосъдие и тези, които се върнат в него, чрез правда.

Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her converts with righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God).

28 А беззаконниците и грешниците ще бъдат съкрушени заедно и тези, които са изоставили Господа, ще загинат.

But the crushing and destruction of rebels and sinners shall be together, and they who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.

29 З ащото ще се посрамят поради дъбовете, които пожелахте; и ще се смутите поради градините, които избрахте;

For you will be ashamed of the oak or terebinth trees in which you found pleasure, and you will blush with shame for the gardens which you have chosen.

30 п онеже ще стана като дъб, чиито листа вехнат, и като градина, която няма вода.

For you shall be like an oak or terebinth whose leaf withers, and like a garden that has no water.

31 И силният ще бъде като кълчища, а делото му - като искра; и то ще изгори заедно с него, без да има кой да ги гаси.

And the strong shall become like tow and become tinder, and his work like a spark, and they shall both burn together, with none to quench them.
