1 Й отам беше на възраст двадесет и пет години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ шестнадесет години в Йерусалим; името на майка му беше Еруса, Садокова дъщеря.

Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother was Jerushah daughter of Zadok.

2 Т ой вършѝ това, което е право пред Господа, съвсем както беше направил баща му Озия; обаче не влезе в Господния храм. Но народът все още се покваряваше.

He did right in the sight of the Lord, to the extent of all that his father Uzziah had done. However, he did not invade the temple of the Lord. But the people still did corruptly.

3 Т ой построи горната порта на Господния дом и съгради много върху стената на Офил.

He built the Upper Gate of the Lord’s house and did much building on the wall of Ophel.

4 С ъгради още и градове в хълмистата страна на Юдея и в дъбравите съгради крепости и кули.

Moreover, he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and in the forests he built forts and towers.

5 И като воюва̀ против царя на амонците, надделя над тях; и в същата година амонците му дадоха сто таланта сребро, десет хиляда кора жито и десет хиляди кора ечемик. Толкова му платиха амонците и втората, и третата година.

He fought with the king of the Ammonites and prevailed against them. The Ammonites gave him that year 100 talents of silver and 10, 000 measures each of wheat and of barley. That much the Ammonites paid to him also the second year and third year.

6 Т ака Йотам стана силен, понеже оправяше пътищата си пред Господа, своя Бог.

So Jotham grew mighty, for he ordered his ways in the sight of the Lord his God.

7 А останалите дела на Йотам и всичките му войни, и постъпките му са записани в Книгата на Израелевите и Юдейските царе.

Now the rest of Jotham’s acts, and all his wars and his ways, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.

8 Т ой беше на двадесет и пет години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ шестнадесет години в Йерусалим.

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.

9 Й отам заспа с бащите си и го погребаха в Давидовия град; и вместо него се възцари синът му Ахаз.

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the City of David. Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
