The words of Amos, who was among the herdsmen and sheep masters of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

2 И каза: Господ ще извика от Сион и ще издаде гласа Си от Йерусалим; пасбищата на овчарите ще ридаят и върхът на Кармил ще повехне.

And he said, The Lord roars out of Zion and utters His voice from Jerusalem; then the pastures of the shepherds mourn and the top of Carmel dries up.

3 Т ака казва Господ: Поради три престъпления на Дамаск - да! - поради четири, няма да отменя наказанието му, защото вършаха Галаад с железни дикани.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Damascus and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have threshed Gilead with iron sledges.

4 Н о Аз ще изпратя огън в дома Азаилов и той ще изгори палатите на Венадад.

So I will send a fire upon the house of Hazael which shall devour the palaces and strongholds of Ben-hadad.

5 А з ще строша лостовете на Дамаск и ще изтребя жителя от Авенското поле и от Еденовия дом - онзи, който държи скиптър; и сирийският народ ще бъде откаран в плен в Кир, казва Господ.

I will break also the bar of Damascus and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven or On, and him who holds the scepter from Beth-eden; and the people of Syria shall go into exile to Kir, says the Lord.

6 Т ака казва Господ: Поради три престъпления на Газа - да! - поради четири, няма да отменя наказанието му, защото плениха целия Ми народ, за да ги предадат на Едом.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Gaza and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they carried away captive the whole population and delivered them up to Edom.

7 Н о Аз ще изпратя огън върху стената на Газа и той ще изгори палатите му.

So I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza which shall devour its strongholds.

8 Щ е изтребя жителя от Азот и от Аскалон - онзи, който държи скиптър; ще обърна ръката Си против Акарон и останалите от филистимците ще загинат, казва Господ Йехова.

And I will cut off the inhabitants from Ashdod and him who holds the scepter from Ashkelon, and I will turn My hand against Ekron; and the rest of the Philistines shall perish, says the Lord God.

9 Т ака казва Господ: Поради три престъпления на Тир - да! - поради четири, няма да отменя наказанието им, защото предадоха целия Ми народ в плен на Едом и не си спомниха братския завет.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Tyre and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they delivered up a whole population to Edom and did not remember their brotherly covenant.

10 Н о Аз ще изпратя огън върху стената на Тир и ще изгоря палатите му.

So I will send a fire on the wall of Tyre which shall devour its strongholds.

11 Т ака казва Господ: Поради три престъпления на Едом - да! - поради четири, няма да отменя наказанието му, защото прогони брат си с меч и като отхвърли всяко милосърдие, негодуванието му разкъсваше непрестанно и той винаги пазеше гнева си.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Edom and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because he pursued his brother Jacob (Israel) with the sword, corrupting his compassions and casting off all pity, and his anger tore perpetually and his wrath he kept and heeded forever.

12 Н о Аз ще изпратя огън върху Теман и той ще изгори палатите на Восор.

So I will send a fire upon Teman which shall devour the strongholds of Bozrah.

13 Т ака казва Господ: Поради три престъпления на Амон - да! - поради четири, няма да отменя наказанието им, защото разпаряха бременните жени на Галаад, за да разширят пределите си.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of the children of Ammon and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because have ripped up women with child in Gilead, that they might enlarge their border.

14 Н о Аз ще запаля огън в стената на Рава и той ще изгори палатите му, сред силно викане в деня на боя, сред вихрушка в деня на бурята;

So I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah and it shall devour the strongholds of it, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind;

15 и царят им ще отиде в плен, той и първенците му с него, казва Господ.

And their king shall go into exile, he and his princes together, says the Lord.
