1 ( По слав. 93.) Господи Боже, на Когото принадлежи отмъщението, Боже, на Когото принадлежи отмъщението, възсияй.

O Lord God, You to Whom vengeance belongs, O God, You to Whom vengeance belongs, shine forth!

2 И здигни се Ти, Съдия на земята, отдай на горделивите това, което им се пада.

Rise up, O Judge of the earth; render to the proud a fit compensation!

3 Г осподи, докога нечестивите, докога нечестивите ще тържествуват?

Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph and exult?

4 Т е бъбрят, говорят надменно; всички, които вършат беззаконие, се хвалят.

They pour out arrogant words, speaking hard things; all the evildoers boast loftily.

5 Т е съкрушават народа Ти, Господи, и притесняват наследството Ти;

They crush Your people, O Lord, and afflict Your heritage.

6 у биват вдовицата и чужденеца, умъртвяват сирачетата

They slay the widow and the transient stranger and murder the unprotected orphan.

7 и казват: Господ няма да види, нито ще обърне внимание Якововият Бог.

Yet they say, The Lord does not see, neither does the God of Jacob notice it.

8 Р азсъдете вие, безумни между народа! Вие, глупави, кога ще поумнеете? -

Consider and understand, you stupid ones among the people! And you fools, when will you become wise?

9 О нзи, Който е поставил ухото, не чува ли? Който е създал окото, не вижда ли?

He Who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He Who formed the eye, shall He not see?

10 О нзи, Който вразумява народите, Който учи човека на знание, не изобличава ли?

He Who disciplines and instructs the nations, shall He not punish, He Who teaches man knowledge?

11 Г оспод знае, че човешките мисли са лъх.

The Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are vain (empty and futile—only a breath).

12 Б лажен онзи човек, когото Ти, Господи, вразумяваш и когото учиш от закона Си,

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law,

13 з а да го успокояваш през дните на нещастието, докато се изкопае ров за нечестивия.

That You may give him power to keep himself calm in the days of adversity, until the pit of corruption is dug for the wicked.

14 З ащото Господ няма да отхвърли народа Си, нито ще остави наследството Си;

For the Lord will not cast off nor spurn His people, neither will He abandon His heritage.

15 п онеже съдът пак ще се съобразява с правдата и всички, които са с прави сърца, ще я последват.

For justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it.

16 К ой ще стане за мене против злодеите, кой ще застане с мене против онези, които вършат беззаконие?

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17 А ко не ми беше помогнал Господ, душата ми без малко щеше да се пресели в мълчанието.

Unless the Lord had been my help, I would soon have dwelt in silence.

18 К огато казах: Подхлъзва се кракът ми, тогава, Господи, Твоята милост ме подпря.

When I said, My foot is slipping, Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, held me up.

19 С ред множеството грижи на сърцето ми Твоите утешения веселят душата ми.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me, Your comforts cheer and delight my soul!

20 Щ е има ли нещо общо с Тебе седалището на беззаконието, което е скроено да върши зло чрез закон?

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with You—they who frame and hide their unrighteous doings under law?

21 Т е се опълчват против душата на праведния и осъждат невинна кръв.

They band themselves together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.

22 Н о Господ е високата моя кула, моят Бог е канара, при която се крия.

But the Lord has become my High Tower and Defense, and my God the Rock of my refuge.

23 Т ой ще обърне върху тях собственото им беззаконие и ще ги отсече в нечестието им; Господ, нашият Бог, ще ги отсече.

And He will turn back upon them their own iniquity and will wipe them out by means of their own wickedness; the Lord our God will wipe them out.
