1 Е дин ден, когато Петър и Йоан отиваха в храма в деветия час, часа на молитвата,

Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour (three o’clock in the afternoon),

2 н якои носеха един човек, куц по рождение. Слагаха го всеки ден при така наречените Красиви врати на храма, да проси милостиня от онези, които влизаха в храма.

a certain man crippled from his birth was being carried along, who was laid each day at that gate of the temple called Beautiful, so that he might beg for charitable gifts from those who entered the temple.

3 Т ой, като видя Петър и Йоан, когато щяха да влязат в храма, замоли да му се даде милостиня.

So when he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked them to give him a gift.

4 А Петър, заедно с Йоан, се взря в него и каза: Погледни ни.

And Peter directed his gaze intently at him, and so did John, and said, Look at us!

5 И той ги гледаше внимателно, като очакваше да получи нещо от тях.

And paid attention to them, expecting that he was going to get something from them.

6 Н о Петър каза: Сребро и злато аз нямам; но каквото имам, това ти давам; в името на Исус Христос Назарянина, стани и ходи.

But Peter said, Silver and gold (money) I do not have; but what I do have, that I give to you: in '> use of] the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!

7 И като го хвана за дясната ръка, го вдигна; и в същия миг краката и глезените му добиха сила.

Then he took hold of the man’s right hand with a firm grip and raised him up. And at once his feet and ankle bones became strong and steady,

8 И той, като скочи, изправи се и проходи; и влезе с тях в храма, като ходеше и скачаше, и славеше Бога.

And leaping forth he stood and began to walk, and he went into the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

9 И целият народ го видя да ходи и да слави Бога;

And all the people saw him walking about and praising God,

10 и го познаха, че беше същият, който седеше за милостиня при Красивите врати на храма; и се изпълниха с почуда и удивление за това, което беше станало с него. Проповедта на Петър в храма

And they recognized him as the man who usually sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement (bewilderment, consternation) over what had occurred to him.

11 И понеже изцеленият куц човек не се отделяше от Петър и Йоан, то целият народ смаян се стече при тях в така наречения Соломонов притвор.

Now while he firmly clung to Peter and John, all the people in utmost amazement ran together and crowded around them in the covered porch (walk) called Solomon’s.

12 А Петър, като видя това, започна да говори на хората: Израелтяни, какво се чудите на това? Или защо се взирате в нас, като че поради своя сила или благочестие сме направили той да проходи?

And Peter, seeing it, answered the people, You men of Israel, why are you so surprised and wondering at this? Why do you keep staring at us, as though by our power or piety we had made this man to walk?

13 Б ог Авраамов, Исааков и Яковов, Бог на бащите ни, прослави Своя Син Исус, Когото вие предадохте и от Когото се отрекохте пред Пилат, когато той беше решил да Го пусне.

The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our forefathers, has glorified His Servant and Son Jesus, Whom you indeed delivered up and denied and rejected and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to let Him go.

14 Н о вие се отрекохте от Святия и Праведния и като поискахте да ви се пусне един убиец,

But you denied and rejected and disowned the Pure and Holy, the Just and Blameless One, and demanded a murderer to be granted to you.

15 у бихте Началника на живота. Но Бог Го възкреси от мъртвите, за което ние сме свидетели.

But you killed the very Source (the Author) of life, Whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.

16 И на основание на вяра в името Му, Неговото име укрепи този, когото гледате и познавате. Да! Тази вяра, която е чрез Него, му даде пред всички вас това съвършено здраве.

And His name, through and by faith in His name, has made this man whom you see and recognize well and strong. the faith which is through and by Him has given the man this perfect soundness before all of you.

17 И сега, братя, аз зная, че вие, както и началниците ви, направихте това от незнание;

And now, brethren, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your rulers also.

18 н о Бог по този начин изпълни това, което беше предизвестил чрез устата на всички пророци, че Неговият Помазаник ще пострада.

Thus has God fulfilled what He foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ (the Messiah) should undergo ill treatment and be afflicted and suffer.

19 З атова покайте се и се обърнете, за да се заличат греховете ви, и така да дойдат освежителни времена от лицето на Господа

So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return, that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord;

20 и Той да ви изпрати определения за вас Исус Христос,

And that He may send the Christ (the Messiah), Who before was designated and appointed for you—even Jesus,

21 К огото трябва да приемат небесата до времето, когато ще се възстанови всичко, за което е говорил Бог от века чрез устата на Своите святи пророци.

Whom heaven must receive until the time for the complete restoration of all that God spoke by the mouth of all His holy prophets for ages past.

22 З ащото Моисей е казал: "Господ Бог ще ви въздигне измежду братята ви Пророк, както въздигна мене; Него слушайте във всичко, каквото ще ви каже;

Thus Moses said to the forefathers, The Lord God will raise up for you a Prophet from among your brethren as me; Him you shall listen to and understand by hearing and heed in all things whatever He tells you.

23 и всяка душа, която не послуша този Пророк, ще бъде изтребена отсред народа."

And it shall be that every soul that does not listen to and understand by hearing and heed that Prophet shall be utterly exterminated from among the people.

24 И всички пророци от Самуил и след него, които са говорили, и те са известили за тези дни.

Indeed, all the prophets from Samuel and those who came afterwards, as many as have spoken, also promised and foretold and proclaimed these days.

25 В ие сте потомци на пророците и наследници на завета, който Бог сключи с бащите ви, когато каза на Авраам: "В твоето потомство ще се благословят всички земни племена."

You are the descendants (sons) of the prophets and the heirs of the covenant which God made and gave to your forefathers, saying to Abraham, And in your Seed (Heir) shall all the families of the earth be blessed and benefited.

26 Б ог, като възкреси Своя Син, първо до вас Го изпрати, за да ви благослови, като отвръща всеки от вас от нечестието ви.

It was to you first that God sent His Servant and Son Jesus, when He raised Him up '> provided and gave Him for us], to bless you in turning every one of you from your wickedness and evil ways.
