1 ( По слав. 106.) Славете Господа, защото е благ, защото Неговата милост трае довека.

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

2 Т ака нека говорят изкупените от Господа, които Той изкупи от ръката на противника,

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has delivered from the hand of the adversary,

3 к ато ги събра от страните - от изток и от запад, от север и от юг.

And gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the Sea in the south.

4 Е дни се скитаха в пустинята, по усамотен път, без да намират населен град,

Some wandered in the wilderness in a solitary desert track; they found no city for habitation.

5 г ладни и жадни, душата им примираше в тях.

Hungry and thirsty, they fainted; their lives were near to being extinguished.

6 Т огава извикаха към Господа в бедствието си; и Той ги избави от утесненията им

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.

7 и ги заведе през прав път, за да достигнат в населен град.

He led them forth by the straight and right way, that they might go to a city where they could establish their homes.

8 Д а славословят Господа за Неговата благост и за чудесните Му дела към човешките синове;

Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!

9 з ащото насища жадна душа и гладна душа изпълва с блага.

For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with good.

10 Д руги седяха в тъмнина и в мрачна сянка, вързани със скръб и с окови,

Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and in irons,

11 з ащото се разбунтуваха против Божиите слова и презряха съвета на Всевишния.

Because they had rebelled against the words of God and spurned the counsel of the Most High.

12 З атова смири сърцето им с труд; те паднаха и нямаше кой да им помогне.

Therefore He bowed down their hearts with hard labor; they stumbled and fell down, and there was none to help.

13 Т огава извикаха към Господа в бедствието си; и Той ги избави от утесненията им;

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.

14 и зведе ги от тъмнината и мрачната сянка и разкъса оковите им.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke apart the bonds that held them.

15 Д а славословят Господа за Неговата благост и за чудесните Му дела към човешките синове;

Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!

16 з ащото разби медните порти и железните лостове сломи.

For He has broken the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron apart.

17 А пък безумните са в скръб поради беззаконните си пътища и поради неправдите си.

Some are fools because of the way of their transgressions and are afflicted because of their iniquities.

18 Д ушата им се гнуси от всяко ястие, а те се приближават до портите на смъртта.

They loathe every kind of food, and they draw near to the gates of death.

19 Т огава викат към Господа в бедствието си; и Той ги избавя от утесненията им.

Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivers them out of their distresses.

20 И зпраща словото Си и ги изцелява, и ги отървава от ямите, в които лежат.

He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.

21 Д а славословят Господа за Неговата благост и за чудесните Му дела към човешките синове;

Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!

22 и нека принасят жертви на хвала и радостно да възвестяват делата Му.

And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and rehearse His deeds with shouts of joy and singing!

23 О нези пък, които излизат в морето с кораби и вършат работи в големи води,

Some go down to the sea and travel over it in ships to do business in great waters;

24 т е виждат делата на Господа и чудесата Му в дълбочините,

These see the works of the Lord and His wonders in the deep.

25 з ащото когато заповядва и довежда бурния вятър, който повдига морските вълни,

For He commands and raises up the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of the sea.

26 т е се издигат до небесата и пак се спускат до дълбочините; душата им се топи от бедствие.

mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the deeps; their courage melts away because of their plight.

27 Л юлеят се и политат като пияни, и целият им разсъдък ги напуска.

They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits’ end.

28 Т огава викат към Господа в бедствието си; и Той ги извежда от утесненията им;

Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses.

29 п ревръща бурята в тишина и вълните ѝ утихват.

He hushes the storm to a calm and to a gentle whisper, so that the waves of the sea are still.

30 Т огава те се веселят, защото вълните са утихнали; така Той ги завежда в желаното от тях пристанище.

Then the men are glad because of the calm, and He brings them to their desired haven.

31 Д а славословят Господа за Неговата благост и за чудесните Му дела към човешките синове;

Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!

32 н ека Го и възвисяват в събранието на народа и нека Го хвалят в заседанието на старейшините.

Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the company of the elders.

33 Т ой превръща реки в пустиня и водни извори - в суша,

He turns rivers into a wilderness, water springs into a thirsty ground,

34 п лодородна земя - в солена пустота поради нечестието на жителите ѝ.

A fruitful land into a barren, salt waste, because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

35 П ревръща пустиня във водни езера и суха земя - във водни извори;

He turns a wilderness into a pool of water and a dry ground into water springs;

36 и там заселва гладните, за да си основават градове за живеене

And there He makes the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation,

37 и да сеят ниви и садят лозя, и да си добиват изобилни плодове.

And sow fields, and plant vineyards which yield fruits of increase.

38 Т ой ги и благославя, така че те много се умножават, и не дава да намалява добитъкът им.

He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and allows not their cattle to decrease.

39 Н о пак те се снишават и се смиряват от угнетение, бедствие и тъга.

When they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow,

40 Т ой излива презрение върху князете и ги прави да се скитат в пустиня, където няма път;

He pours contempt upon princes and causes them to wander in waste places where there is no road.

41 а бедния поставя нависоко от неволя и му дава деца като стадо.

Yet He raises the poor and needy from affliction and makes their families like a flock.

42 П раведните виждат това и се радват; а всяко беззаконие си затваря устата.

The upright shall see it and be glad, but all iniquity shall shut its mouth.

43 К ойто е мъдър, нека внимава в това; и нека размишляват хората за Господните милости.

Whoso is wise will observe and heed these things; and they will diligently consider the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord.
