1 И Той излезе оттам и дойде в Своето родно място; и учениците Му вървяха след Него.

Jesus went away from there and came to His country and hometown, and His disciples followed Him.

2 И когато настана събота, започна да поучава в синагогата; и мнозина, като Го слушаха, се чудеха и казваха: Откъде има Този всичко това? И каква е тази мъдрост, която Му е дадена, и какви са тези велики дела, извършени от ръцете Му?

And on the Sabbath He began to teach in the synagogue; and many who listened to Him were utterly astonished, saying, Where did this Man acquire all this? What is the wisdom given to Him? What mighty works and exhibitions of power are wrought by His hands!

3 Т ози не е ли дърводелецът, син на Мария и брат на Яков и Йосия, на Юда и Симон? И сестрите Му не са ли тук, между нас? И те се съблазниха в Него.

Is not this the Carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not His sisters here among us? And they took offense at Him and were hurt '> disapproved of Him, and it hindered them from acknowledging His authority] and they were caused to stumble and fall.

4 А Исус им каза: Никой пророк не е без почит освен в своята родина, между своите сродници и своя дом.

But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor (deference, reverence) except in his country and among relatives and in his house.

5 И не можеше да извърши там никакво велико дело, освен когато положи ръце на неколцина болни и ги изцели.

And He was not able to do even one work of power there, except that He laid His hands on a few sickly people cured them.

6 И се чудеше на тяхното неверие. Исус обикаляше околните села и поучаваше. Изпращането на дванадесетте ученици

And He marveled because of their unbelief (their lack of faith in Him). And He went about among the surrounding villages and continued teaching.

7 И като повика дванадесетте, започна да ги изпраща двама по двама и им даде власт над нечистите духове.

And He called to Him the Twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority and power over the unclean spirits.

8 З аповяда им да не вземат нищо за път освен една тояга; нито хляб, нито торба, нито пари в пояса;

He charged them to take nothing for their journey except a walking stick—no bread, no wallet for a collection bag, no money in their belts (girdles, purses)—

9 н о да обуват сандали. И, каза Той, не се обличайте с две дрехи.

But to go with sandals on their feet and not to put on two tunics (undergarments).

10 И им каза: В която къща влезете, оставайте в нея, докато си тръгнете оттам.

And He told them, Wherever you go into a house, stay there until you leave that place.

11 А ако в някое място не ви приемат, нито ви послушат, като излизате оттам, отърсете праха изпод краката си като свидетелство против тях.

And if any community will not receive and accept and welcome you, and they refuse to listen to you, when you depart, shake off the dust that is on your feet, for a testimony against them. Truly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the judgment day than for that town.

12 И те излязоха и проповядваха, че човеците трябва да се покаят.

So they went out and preached that men should repent '> that they should change their minds for the better and heartily amend their ways, with abhorrence of their past sins].

13 И згонваха много бесове и мнозина болни помазваха с елей и ги изцеляваха. Убиването на Йоан Кръстител

And they drove out many unclean spirits and anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.

14 А цар Ирод чу за Исус (защото името Му стана известно) и казваше: Йоан Кръстител е възкръснал от мъртвите и затова тези велики сили действат чрез Него.

King Herod heard of it, for name had become well known. He and they said, John the Baptist has been raised from the dead; that is why these mighty powers '> of performing miracles] are at work in Him.

15 А други казваха, че е Илия. Други пък казваха, че Той е пророк като един от древните пророци.

others kept saying, It is Elijah! And others said, It is a prophet, like one of the prophets.

16 Н о Ирод, като чу за Него, каза: Това е Йоан, когото аз обезглавих; той е възкръснал.

But when Herod heard, he said, '> This very] John, whom I beheaded, has been raised.

17 З ащото този Ирод беше пратил да хванат Йоан и да го вържат в тъмница заради Иродиада, жената на брат му Филип, понеже я беше взел за жена.

For Herod himself had sent and seized John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, because he had married her.

18 З ащото Йоан казваше на Ирод: Не ти е позволено да имаш братовата си жена.

For John had told Herod, It is not lawful and you have no right to have your brother’s wife.

19 А Иродиада се настрои против него и искаше да го убие, но не можеше;

And Herodias was angry (enraged) with him and held a grudge against him and wanted to kill him; but she could not,

20 з ащото Ирод се боеше от Йоан, като знаеше, че той е праведен и свят човек, и го пазеше здраво; и когато го слушаше, вършеше много неща и с удоволствие го слушаше.

For Herod had '> a reverential] fear of John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe '> under guard]. When he heard, he was much perplexed; and he heard him gladly.

21 И когато дойде подходящ ден, когато Ирод за рождения си ден даде вечеря на големците си и на хилядниците, и на галилейските старейшини,

But an opportune time came when Herod on his birthday gave a banquet for his nobles and the high military commanders and chief men of Galilee.

22 и самата дъщеря на Иродиада влезе и танцува, и угоди на Ирод и на седящите с него; и царят каза на момичето: Искай от мене каквото щеш и ще ти го дам.

For when the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased and fascinated Herod and his guests; and the king said to the girl, Ask me for whatever you desire, and I will give it to you.

23 И ѝ се закле: Каквото и да поискаш от мене, ще ти дам, даже до половината от царството ми.

And he put himself under oath to her, Whatever you ask me, I will give it to you, even to the half of my kingdom.

24 А тя излезе и попита майка си: Какво да поискам? И тя каза: Главата на Йоан Кръстител.

Then she left the room and said to her mother, What shall I ask for ? And she replied, The head of John the Baptist!

25 И веднага момичето влезе бързо при царя и поиска, като каза: Искам да ми дадеш още сега, на блюдо, главата на Йоан Кръстител.

And she rushed back instantly to the king and requested, saying, I wish you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.

26 И царят се наскърби много; но пак заради клетвите си и заради седящите с него не поиска да ѝ откаже.

And the king was deeply pained and grieved and exceedingly sorry, but because of his oaths and his guests, he did not want to slight her.

27 И веднага царят прати един телохранител, на когото заповяда да донесе главата му; и той отиде, обезглави го в тъмницата

And immediately the king sent off one of his bodyguard and gave him orders to bring head. He went and beheaded him in the prison

28 и донесе главата му на блюдо, и я даде на момичето; а момичето я даде на майка си.

And brought his head on a platter and handed it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother.

29 А учениците му, като чуха това, дойдоха и вдигнаха тялото му и го положиха в гроб. Чудото с нахранването на пет хиляди души

When his disciples learned of it, they came and took body and laid it in a tomb.

30 И апостолите се събраха при Исус и Му разказаха всичко, каквото бяха извършили и каквото бяха поучавали.

The apostles came back and gathered together to Jesus, and told Him all that they had done and taught.

31 А Той им каза: Елате вие сами на уединено място насаме и си починете малко. Защото мнозина идваха и си отиваха; и нямаха време даже да ядат.

And He said to them, '> As for you] come away by yourselves to a deserted place, and rest a while—for many were coming and going, and they had not even leisure enough to eat.

32 И отидоха с ладията на уединено място насаме.

And they went away in a boat to a solitary place by themselves.

33 А като отидоха, хората ги видяха и мнозина ги познаха; и от всички градове се стекоха там пеша и ги изпревариха.

Now many saw them going and recognized them, and they ran there on foot from all the surrounding towns, and they got there ahead.

34 И Исус, като излезе, видя едно голямо множество и се смили над тях, понеже бяха като овце, които нямат пастир; и започна да ги поучава за много неща.

As Jesus landed, He saw a great crowd waiting, and He was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.

35 И понеже беше станало вече късно, учениците Му се приближиха при Него и казаха: Мястото е уединено и вече е късно.

And when the day was already far gone, His disciples came to Him and said, This is a desolate and isolated place, and the hour is now late.

36 Р азпусни ги, за да отидат по околните колиби и села и да си купят нещо за ядене.

Send the crowds away to go into the country and villages round about and buy themselves something to eat.

37 А Той им отговори: Дайте им вие да ядат. А те Му казаха: Да идем ли да купим хляб за двеста пеняза и да им дадем да ядат?

But He replied to them, Give them something to eat yourselves. And they said to Him, Shall we go and buy 200 denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?

38 Т ой ги запита: Колко хляба имате? Идете и вижте. И като разбраха, казаха: Пет хляба и две риби.

And He said to them, How many loaves do you have? Go and see. And when they knew, they said, Five and two fish.

39 И сус им заповяда да насядат всички на групи по зелената трева.

Then He commanded the people all to recline on the green grass by companies.

40 И те насядаха на редици - по сто и по петдесет.

So they threw themselves down in ranks of hundreds and fifties '> regularity of an arrangement of beds of herbs, looking like so many garden plots].

41 С лед като взе петте хляба и двете риби, Исус погледна към небето и благослови. После разчупи хлябовете и даваше на учениците да слагат пред тях; раздели и двете риби на всички.

And taking the five loaves and two fish, He looked up to heaven and, praising God, gave thanks and broke the loaves and kept on giving them to the disciples to set before the people; and He divided the two fish among all.

42 И всички ядоха и се наситиха.

And they all ate and were satisfied.

43 И вдигнаха дванадесет пълни коша с къшеи хляб, също и от рибите.

And they took up twelve '> small hand] baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish.

44 А онези, които ядоха хлябовете, бяха пет хиляди мъже. Исус Христос ходи по водата

And those who ate the loaves were 5, 000 men.

45 И веднага накара учениците Си да влязат в ладията и да отидат преди Него на отсрещната страна към Витсаида, докато Той разпусне народа.

And at once He insisted that the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side to Bethsaida, while He was sending the throng away.

46 С лед като се прости с тях, отиде на хълма да се помоли.

And after He had taken leave of them, He went off into the hills to pray.

47 И като се свечери, ладията беше насред езерото, а Той - сам на сушата.

Now when evening had come, the boat was out in the middle of the lake, and He was by Himself on the land.

48 И като ги видя, че се мъчат, като гребат с веслата, защото им беше насрещен вятърът, около четвъртата стража на нощта дойде при тях, като вървеше по езерото; и щеше да ги отмине.

And having seen that they were troubled and tormented in rowing, for the wind was against them, about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. And He acted as if He meant to pass by them,

49 А те, като Го видяха да ходи по езерото, помислиха си, че е призрак, и извикаха;

But when they saw Him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and raised a shriek of terror.

50 з ащото всички Го видяха и се смутиха. И веднага Той им проговори: Дерзайте! Аз съм, не бойте се!

For they all saw Him and were agitated (troubled and filled with fear and dread). But immediately He talked with them and said, Take heart! I Am! Stop being alarmed and afraid.

51 И влезе при тях в ладията и вятърът утихна; и те бяха дълбоко разтърсени.

And He went up into the boat with them, and the wind ceased ( sank to rest as if exhausted by its own beating). And they were astonished exceedingly,

52 З ащото не бяха се поучили от чудото с хлябовете, тъй като сърцето им беше закоравяло. Излекуване на болни в Генисаретските околности

For they failed to consider or understand the loaves; their hearts had grown callous '> lost the power of understanding].

53 И като преминаха отвъд езерото, дойдоха в Генисаретската земя и излязоха на сушата.

And when they had crossed over, they reached the land of Gennesaret and came to the shore.

54 А когато излязоха от ладията, хората веднага Го познаха;

As soon as they got out of the boat, recognized Him,

55 и се разтичаха по цялата онази околност и започнаха да носят на легла болните там, където чуеха, че се намирал Той.

And they ran about the whole countryside, and began to carry around sick people on their sleeping pads or mats to any place where they heard that He was.

56 И където и да влизаше Исус, в села или градове, или в колиби, слагаха болните по пазарите и Му се молеха да се допрат поне до полите на дрехите Му; и колкото души се допираха, се изцеляваха.

And wherever He came into villages or cities or the country, they would lay the sick in the marketplaces and beg Him that they might touch even the fringe of His outer garment, and as many as touched Him were restored to health.
