Paul, Silvanus (Silas), and Timothy, to the church (assembly) of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One):

2 Б лагодат и мир да бъде на вас от Бога Отца и Господ Исус Христос.

Grace (unmerited favor) be to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

3 Д лъжни сме, братя, винаги да благодарим на Бога за вас, както и подобава, за това, че вярата ви нараства твърде много и любовта на всеки един от всички вас се умножава един към друг;

We ought and indeed are obligated to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing exceedingly and the love of every one of you each toward the others is increasing and abounds.

4 т ака че и самите ние се хвалим с вас между Божиите църкви за вашата твърдост и вяра във всичките ви гонения и в скърбите, които понасяте,

And this is a cause of our mentioning you with pride among the churches (assemblies) of God for your steadfastness (your unflinching endurance and patience) and your firm faith in the midst of all the persecutions and crushing distresses and afflictions under which you are holding up.

5 к оето е доказателство за Божия справедлив съд, за да се удостоите с Божието царство, за което и страдате.

This is positive proof of the just and right judgment of God to the end that you may be deemed deserving of His kingdom, for the sake of which you are also suffering.

6 П онеже е справедливо пред Бога да въздаде скръб на онези, които ви оскърбяват,

since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with distress and affliction those who distress and afflict you,

7 а на вас, оскърбените, да даде утеха (както и на нас), когато се яви Господ Исус от небето със Своите силни ангели,

And to '> recompense] you who are so distressed and afflicted relief and rest along with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in a flame of fire,

8 в пламенен огън да даде възмездие на онези, които не познават Бога, и на онези, които не се покоряват на благовестието на нашия Господ Исус.

To deal out retribution (chastisement and vengeance) upon those who do not know or perceive or become acquainted with God, and who ignore and refuse to obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 Т акива ще приемат за наказание вечна погибел от присъствието на Господа и от славното явление на Неговата сила,

Such people will pay the penalty and suffer the punishment of everlasting ruin (destruction and perdition) and eternal exclusion and banishment from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

10 к огато дойде в онзи ден, за да се прослави в Своите светии и да се покаже чуден между всички повярвали ( следователно и между вас, защото вие повярвахте на нашето свидетелство).

When He comes to be glorified in His saints, and be marveled at and admired in all who have believed, because our witnessing among you was confidently accepted and believed.

11 З атова и винаги се молим за вас, дано нашият Бог ви има за достойни за призванието ви и усъвършенства мощно във вас всяко добро желание и всяко дело на вярата;

With this in view we constantly pray for you, that our God may deem and count you worthy of calling and every gracious purpose of goodness, and with power may complete in every particular work of faith (faith which is that leaning of the whole human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness).

12 з а да се прослави във вас името на нашия Господ Исус и вие в Него, според благодатта на нашия Бог и Господ Исус Христос.

Thus may the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be glorified and become more glorious through and in you, and may you in Him according to the grace (favor and blessing) of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
