2 h ar şi pace de la Dumnezeu, Tatăl nostru, şi de la Domnul Isus Cristos! Mulţumiri şi rugăciuni

Grace (unmerited favor) be to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

3 S untem datori să-I mulţumim întotdeauna lui Dumnezeu pentru voi, fraţilor, cum se şi cuvine, întrucât credinţa voastră creşte foarte mult, şi dragostea voastră unii faţă de alţii sporeşte în fiecare dintre voi.

We ought and indeed are obligated to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing exceedingly and the love of every one of you each toward the others is increasing and abounds.

4 D e aceea, noi înşine ne lăudăm cu voi în bisericile lui Dumnezeu, datorită răbdării şi credinţei voastre în toate persecuţiile şi necazurile pe care le înduraţi.

And this is a cause of our mentioning you with pride among the churches (assemblies) of God for your steadfastness (your unflinching endurance and patience) and your firm faith in the midst of all the persecutions and crushing distresses and afflictions under which you are holding up.

5 A ceasta este dovada faptului că judecata lui Dumnezeu este dreaptă, iar voi veţi fi consideraţi vrednici de Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu, pentru care şi suferiţi.

This is positive proof of the just and right judgment of God to the end that you may be deemed deserving of His kingdom, for the sake of which you are also suffering.

6 E ste drept din partea lui Dumnezeu să aducă suferinţă peste cei care vă fac să suferiţi

since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with distress and affliction those who distress and afflict you,

7 ş i să-i învioreze pe cei care suferă, – atât pe voi, cât şi pe noi –, atunci când Se va arăta din cer Domnul Isus cu îngerii Lui puternici,

And to '> recompense] you who are so distressed and afflicted relief and rest along with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in a flame of fire,

8 î ntr-o flacără de foc, pentru a-i pedepsi pe cei care nu-L cunosc pe Dumnezeu şi pe cei care nu ascultă de Evanghelia Domnului nostru Isus.

To deal out retribution (chastisement and vengeance) upon those who do not know or perceive or become acquainted with God, and who ignore and refuse to obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 E i vor suferi pedeapsa distrugerii veşnice şi vor fi despărţiţi de prezenţa Domnului şi de slava puterii Lui,

Such people will pay the penalty and suffer the punishment of everlasting ruin (destruction and perdition) and eternal exclusion and banishment from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

10 î n ziua aceea, când El va veni să fie proslăvit de către sfinţii Săi şi admirat de către toţi cei ce au crezut; căci mărturia noastră faţă de voi a fost crezută.

When He comes to be glorified in His saints, and be marveled at and admired in all who have believed, because our witnessing among you was confidently accepted and believed.

11 T ocmai de aceea ne rugăm întotdeauna pentru voi, ca Dumnezeul nostru să vă facă vrednici de chemarea Sa şi, prin puterea Lui, să împlinească orice dorinţă bună a voastră şi orice lucrare pornită din credinţă,

With this in view we constantly pray for you, that our God may deem and count you worthy of calling and every gracious purpose of goodness, and with power may complete in every particular work of faith (faith which is that leaning of the whole human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness).

12 a stfel încât Numele Domnului nostru Isus să fie proslăvit în voi, iar voi în El, după harul Dumnezeului nostru şi al Domnului Isus Cristos.

Thus may the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be glorified and become more glorious through and in you, and may you in Him according to the grace (favor and blessing) of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
