1 M -a dus înapoi la poarta exterioară a Lăcaşului, care dădea înspre răsărit, dar era închisă.

Then the man brought me back the way of the outer gate of the sanctuary which faces the east, and it was shut.

2 D omnul mi-a zis: „Poarta aceasta va rămâne închisă şi nu va mai fi deschisă! Nimeni nu va intra pe ea, căci Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel, a intrat pe ea; de aceea va rămâne închisă.

Then the Lord said to me, This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened and no man shall enter in by it, for the Lord, the God of Israel, has entered in by it; therefore it shall remain shut.

3 N umai prinţul va avea voie să stea înăuntrul porţii pentru a mânca pâine înaintea Domnului. El va trebui să intre însă prin porticul porţii şi să iasă tot pe acolo.“

As for the prince, being the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the Lord; he shall enter by way of the porch or vestibule of the gate and shall go out the same way.

4 M -a dus apoi prin poarta de nord în faţa Casei. M-am uitat şi iată că slava Domnului umplea Casa Domnului! Atunci am căzut cu faţa la pământ.

Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple; I looked, and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord, and I fell upon my face.

5 D omnul mi-a zis: „Fiul omului, ia aminte, priveşte cu atenţie şi ascultă cu băgare de seamă tot ceea ce-ţi spun despre toate reglementările şi despre toate legile privitoare la Casa Domnului. Fii cu luare aminte la intrarea Casei şi la toate ieşirile Lăcaşului.

And the Lord said to me, Son of man, mark well and set your heart to see with your eyes and hear with your ears all that I say to you concerning all the ordinances of the house of the Lord and all its laws, and mark well and set your heart to know who are allowed to enter the temple and all those who are excluded from the sanctuary.

6 S pune-le răzvrătiţilor acestora, celor din Casa lui Israel, că aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «Voi cei din Casa lui Israel, destul cu urâciunile voastre!

And you shall say to the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: O you house of Israel, let all your previous abominations be enough for you!

7 P e lângă toate urâciunile voastre, aţi mai adus în Lăcaşul Meu şi nişte străini, cu inima necircumcisă şi cu trupul necircumcis, ca să-Mi profaneze Casa, în timp ce-Mi aduceaţi pâinea, grăsimea şi sângele ce Mi se cuveneau, şi aţi rupt astfel legământul Meu.

You have brought into My sanctuary aliens, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to pollute and profane it, even My house, when you offer My bread, the fat and the blood; and through it all and in addition to all your abominations, they and you have broken My covenant.

8 N u aţi păzit rânduiala lucrurilor Mele sfinte, ci i-aţi pus pe alţii în locul vostru să păzească rânduiala din Lăcaşul Meu.»

And you have not kept charge of My holy things, but you have chosen foreign keepers to please yourselves and have set them in charge of My sanctuary.

9 A şa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «Nici un străin cu inima şi cu trupul necircumcise nu va intra în Lăcaşul Meu, nici unul dintre străinii care locuiesc printre israeliţi.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh shall enter into My sanctuary, of any foreigners who are among the children of Israel.

10 I ar leviţii care s-au îndepărtat de Mine, pe vremea când şi Israel rătăcea, care s-au abătut de la Mine, umblând după idoli, îşi vor purta pedeapsa pentru aceasta.

But the Levites who went far away from Me when Israel went astray, who went astray from Me after their idols, they shall bear their iniquity and guilt.

11 E i vor fi în Lăcaşul Meu slujitori însărcinaţi cu supravegherea porţilor Casei, slujitori ai Casei care vor înjunghia arderile de tot şi jertfele celor din popor şi vor sta înaintea lor ca să le slujească.

They shall minister in My sanctuary, having oversight as guards at the gates of the temple and ministering in the temple. They shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall attend the people to serve them.

12 P entru că au slujit înaintea idolilor şi au fost o pricină de poticnire pentru cei din Casa lui Israel, jur cu mâna ridicată, zice Stăpânul Domn, că îşi vor purta pedeapsa.

Because ministered to before their idols and became a stumbling block of iniquity and guilt to the house of Israel, therefore I have lifted up My hand and have sworn against them, says the Lord God, that they shall bear the punishment for their iniquity and guilt.

13 N u se vor apropia de Mine ca să-Mi slujească ca preoţi, nu se vor apropia de lucrurile Mele cele sfinte, nici de lucrurile preasfinte, ci îşi vor purta ruşinea pentru urâciunile pe care le-au săvârşit.

And they shall not come near to Me to do the office of a priest to Me, nor come near to any of My holy things that are most sacred; but they shall bear their shame and their punishment for the abominations which they have committed.

14 T otuşi le voi da slujba de păzitori ai rânduielilor din Casă, a tot ce se lucrează în ea, a tot ce se face acolo.

Yet I will appoint them as caretakers to have charge of the temple, for all the service of the temple and for all that will be done in it.

15 D ar preoţii, adică leviţii, urmaşii lui Ţadok, care au păzit rânduiala Lăcaşului Meu când israeliţii rătăceau departe de Mine, ei se vor putea apropia de Mine ca să-Mi slujească şi vor putea sta înaintea Mea ca să-Mi aducă grăsime şi sânge, zice Stăpânul Domn.

But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept the charge of My sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from Me, shall come near to Me to minister to Me, and they shall attend Me to offer to Me the fat and the blood, says the Lord God.

16 N umai ei vor putea intra în Lăcaşul Meu şi doar ei se vor putea apropia de masa Mea ca să-Mi slujească şi să păzească rânduiala Mea.

They shall enter into My sanctuary; and they shall come near to My table to minister to Me, and they shall keep My charge.

17 C ând vor intra pe porţile curţii interioare, vor trebui să îmbrace haine de in şi să nu urce să slujească dincolo de porţile curţii interioare sau în Casă cu haine de lână pe ei.

When they enter the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed in linen garments; no wool shall be on them while they minister at the gates of the inner court and within the temple.

18 V or trebui să aibă pe cap turban de in, iar pe coapse izmene de in. Să nu se îmbrace cu nimic care i-ar putea face să transpire.

They shall have linen turbans on their heads and linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with anything that causes sweat.

19 C ând vor ieşi spre curtea exterioară, spre curtea din exterior unde este poporul, să se dezbrace de veşmintele cu care au slujit şi să le lase în odăile sfinte. Să se îmbrace cu alte veşminte, ca să nu sfinţească poporul cu veşmintele lor.

And when they go out into the outer court to the people, they shall put off the garments in which they ministered and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments, lest by contact of their garments with the people they should consecrate (separate and set apart for holy use) such persons.

20 S ă nu-şi radă capul şi nici să nu-şi lase părul să crească în voie, ci să-l tundă.

Neither shall they shave their heads or allow their locks to grow long; they shall only cut short or trim the hair of their heads.

21 N ici un preot să nu bea vin când intră în curtea interioară.

Neither shall any priest drink wine when he enters the inner court.

22 S ă nu se căsătorească cu o văduvă sau cu o femeie lăsată de bărbat, ci numai cu o fecioară israelită. Totuşi vor putea să se căsătorească şi cu o văduvă de preot.

Neither shall they take for their wives a widow or a woman separated or divorced from her husband; but they shall marry maidens of the offspring of the house of Israel or a widow previously married to a priest.

23 S ă-Mi înveţe poporul să facă deosebire între ce este sfânt şi ce este obişnuit şi să le arate diferenţa dintre ce este necurat şi ce este curat.

The priests shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the common or profane, and cause them to distinguish between the unclean and the clean.

24 Î n orice ceartă, ei vor avea dreptul să judece şi să hotărască după rânduielile Mele. Să păzească legile şi hotărârile Mele cu privire la toate sărbătorile Mele şi să sfinţească Sabatele Mele.

And in a controversy they shall act as judges, and they shall judge according to My judgments; and they shall keep My laws and My statutes in all My appointed feasts, and they shall keep My Sabbaths holy.

25 S ă nu se apropie de un mort, ca să nu se întineze. Se va putea întina doar dacă mortul i-a fost tată, mamă, fiu, fiică, frate sau soră care nu era măritată.

And they shall go near to no dead person to defile themselves, except for father or for mother, for son or for daughter, for brother or for sister who has had no husband; for them they may defile themselves.

26 D upă ce se va curăţi, să numere şapte zile.

And after he is cleansed they shall reckon to him seven days more before returning to the temple.

27 Î n ziua când va intra în Lăcaş, în curtea interioară, ca să slujească în Lăcaş, să aducă o jertfă pentru păcat, zice Stăpânul Domn.

And on the day that he goes into the sanctuary, into the inner court to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, says the Lord God.

28 I ată moştenirea pe care o vor avea: Eu voi fi moştenirea lor! Să nu le daţi altă moştenire în Israel, pentru că Eu sunt moştenirea lor!

This shall be to them as an inheritance, for I am their inheritance; and you shall give them no possession in Israel, for I am their possession.

29 S ă se hrănească cu jertfele de mâncare, cu jertfele pentru păcat şi cu jertfele pentru vină; toate lucrurile închinate Mie în Israel să fie ale lor.

They shall eat the meal offering and the sin offering and the trespass offering, and every offering in Israel dedicated by a solemn vow to God shall be theirs.

30 C ele mai bune din primele roade de orice fel şi fiecare dar din toate contribuţiile voastre de orice fel să fie ale preoţilor. Să daţi preoţilor şi ce este mai bun din făina voastră, pentru ca binecuvântarea să rămână peste casa voastră.

And the first of all the firstfruits of all kinds, and every offering of all kinds from all your offerings, shall belong to the priests. You shall also give to the priest the first of your coarse meal and bread dough, that a blessing may rest on your house.

31 P reoţii nu vor avea voie să mănânce nici o pasăre sau animal care au murit de la sine sau au fost sfâşiate de fiare.

The priests shall not eat of anything that has died of itself or is torn, whether it be bird or beast.
