1 S ă nu vi se tulbure inima! Credeţi în Dumnezeu şi credeţi în Mine!

Do not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.

2 Î n casa Tatălui Meu sunt multe locuinţe. Dacă n-ar fi aşa, v-aş fi spus. Eu Mă duc să vă pregătesc un loc.

In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you.

3 I ar dacă Mă voi duce şi vă voi pregăti un loc, Mă voi întoarce şi vă voi lua cu Mine, ca acolo unde sunt Eu, să fiţi şi voi.

And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.

4 Ş tiţi calea spre locul unde Mă duc Eu.

And where I am going, you know the way.

5 T oma I-a zis: – Doamne, nu ştim unde Te duci; cum putem să ştim calea?!

Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?

6 I sus i-a răspuns: – Eu sunt calea, adevărul şi viaţa. Nimeni nu vine la Tatăl decât prin Mine.

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

7 D acă M-aţi cunoscut pe Mine, Îl veţi cunoaşte şi pe Tatăl Meu. Şi de acum Îl cunoaşteţi şi L-aţi văzut.

If you had known Me, you would also have known My Father. From now on, you know Him and have seen Him.

8 F ilip I-a zis: – Doamne, arată-ni-L pe Tatăl şi ne este de ajuns!

Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father; then we shall be satisfied.

9 I sus i-a răspuns: – De atâta timp sunt cu voi şi nu M-ai cunoscut, Filip? Cel ce M-a văzut pe Mine L-a văzut pe Tatăl. Cum de spui: „Arată-ni-L pe Tatăl!“?!

Jesus replied, Have I been with all of you for so long a time, and do you not recognize and know Me yet, Philip? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say then, Show us the Father?

10 N u crezi că Eu sunt în Tatăl şi Tatăl este în Mine? Cuvintele pe care vi le spun nu le spun de la Mine, ci Tatăl, Care locuieşte în Mine, Îşi face lucrările Lui.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? What I am telling you I do not say on My own authority and of My own accord; but the Father Who lives continually in Me does the ( His ) works (His own miracles, deeds of power).

11 C redeţi-Mă că Eu sunt în Tatăl şi Tatăl în Mine! Dacă nu, credeţi măcar datorită lucrărilor înseşi!

Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

12 A devărat, adevărat vă spun că cel ce crede în Mine va face şi el lucrările pe care le fac Eu, ba încă va face lucrări mai mari decât acestea, pentru că Eu Mă duc la Tatăl;

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.

13 ş i orice veţi cere în Numele Meu, voi face, pentru ca Tatăl să fie proslăvit în Fiul.

And I will do whatever you ask in My Name '> presenting all that I Am ], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.

14 D acă veţi cere ceva în Numele Meu, voi face. Promisiunea Duhului Sfânt

I will grant whatever you shall ask in My Name '> presenting all that I Am ].

15 D acă Mă iubiţi, veţi păzi poruncile Mele.

If you love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.

16 I ar Eu Îl voi ruga pe Tatăl şi El vă va da un alt Apărător, Care să fie cu voi în veac, şi anume

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—

17 D uhul adevărului, pe Care lumea nu-L poate primi, pentru că nici nu-L vede, nici nu-L cunoaşte. Voi Îl cunoaşteţi, pentru că rămâne cu voi şi va fi în voi.

The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.

18 N u vă voi lăsa orfani; voi veni iarăşi la voi.

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

19 Î ncă puţin, şi lumea nu Mă va mai vedea, însă voi Mă veţi vedea; pentru că Eu trăiesc, şi voi veţi trăi.

Just a little while now, and the world will not see Me any more, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.

20 Î n ziua aceea veţi cunoaşte că Eu sunt în Tatăl Meu, voi în Mine şi Eu în voi.

At that time you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

21 C el ce are poruncile Mele şi le păzeşte, acela este cel ce Mă iubeşte. Şi cel ce Mă iubeşte va fi iubit de Tatăl Meu, iar Eu îl voi iubi şi Mă voi arăta lui.

The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and whoever loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him.

22 I uda, nu Iscarioteanul, L-a întrebat: – Doamne, cum se face că urmează să Te arăţi nouă şi nu lumii?

Judas, not Iscariot, asked Him, Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?

23 I sus i-a răspuns: – Dacă Mă iubeşte cineva, va păzi Cuvântul Meu; şi Tatăl Meu îl va iubi, iar Noi vom veni la el şi vom locui împreună cu el.

Jesus answered, If a person loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.

24 C ine nu Mă iubeşte nu păzeşte cuvintele Mele; şi cuvântul pe care-l auziţi nu este al Meu, ci al Tatălui, Care M-a trimis.

Anyone who does not love Me does not observe and obey My teaching. And the teaching which you hear and heed is not Mine, but from the Father Who sent Me.

25 V -am spus aceste lucruri cât sunt încă cu voi.

I have told you these things while I am still with you.

26 D ar Apărătorul, adică Duhul Sfânt, pe Care Tatăl Îl va trimite în Numele Meu, vă va învăţa toate lucrurile şi vă va reaminti tot ce v-am spus.

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

27 V ă las pace, vă dau pacea Mea. Nu v-o dau aşa cum o dă lumea. Să nu vi se tulbure inima, nici să nu se înspăimânte!

Peace I leave with you; My peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

28 A ţi auzit că v-am spus: „Mă duc şi voi veni iarăşi la voi.“ Dacă Mă iubeaţi, v-aţi fi bucurat că Mă duc la Tatăl, pentru că Tatăl este mai mare decât Mine.

You heard Me tell you, I am going away and I am coming to you. If you loved Me, you would have been glad, because I am going to the Father; for the Father is greater and mightier than I am.

29 Ş i v-am spus acum, înainte să se întâmple, pentru ca, atunci când se va întâmpla, să credeţi.

And now I have told you before it occurs, so that when it does take place you may believe and have faith in and rely on Me.

30 N u voi mai vorbi mult cu voi, pentru că vine domnitorul lumii acesteia. El nu are nimic în Mine,

I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me.

31 d ar trebuie ca lumea să cunoască că Eu Îl iubesc pe Tatăl şi că fac aşa cum mi-a poruncit Tatăl. Ridicaţi-vă, să plecăm de aici!

But '> Satan is coming and] I do as the Father has commanded Me, so that the world may know (be convinced) that I love the Father and that I do only what the Father has instructed Me to do. Rise, let us go away from here.
