1 „ Haideţi să ne întoarcem la Domnul! Căci El ne-a sfâşiat, dar tot El ne va vindeca. El ne-a lovit, dar tot El ne va lega rana.

Come and let us return to the Lord, for He has torn so that He may heal us; He has stricken so that He may bind us up.

2 N e va reînvia în două zile; a treia zi ne va ridica şi vom trăi înaintea Lui.

After two days He will revive us (quicken us, give us life); on the third day He will raise us up that we may live before Him.

3 S ă-L cunoaştem, să căutăm să-L cunoaştem pe Domnul! Aşa cum este sigur că vine răsăritul, aşa va fi de sigură şi venirea Lui; El va veni la noi ca o ploaie de iarnă, ca ploaia târzie care udă pământul.“

Yes, let us know (recognize, be acquainted with, and understand) Him; let us be zealous to know the Lord. His going forth is prepared and certain as the dawn, and He will come to us as the rain, as the latter rain that waters the earth.

5 D e aceea i-am tăiat în bucăţi prin profeţi, i-am ucis prin cuvintele gurii Mele, iar judecata Mea a strălucit ca lumina.

Therefore have I hewn down and smitten them by means of the prophets; I have slain them by the words of My mouth; My judgments are like the light that goes forth.

6 C ăci milă doresc, nu jertfă, şi cunoştinţă de Dumnezeu, mai mult decât arderi de tot.
