1 D upă aceea, Isus li S-a arătat din nou ucenicilor, la Marea Tiberiadei. Li S-a arătat astfel:

After this, Jesus let Himself be seen and revealed again to the disciples, at the Sea of Tiberias. And He did it in this way:

2 S imon Petru, Toma – cel numit „Didimus“ –, Natanael din Cana Galileii, fiii lui Zebedei şi alţi doi dintre ucenicii lui Isus, erau împreună.

There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas, called the Twin, and Nathanael from Cana of Galilee, also the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples.

3 S imon Petru le-a zis: – Mă duc să pescuiesc! Ei i-au răspuns: – Venim şi noi cu tine! Au ieşit şi s-au suit într-o barcă, dar în noaptea aceea n-au prins nimic.

Simon Peter said to them, I am going fishing! They said to him, And we are coming with you! So they went out and got into the boat, and throughout that night they caught nothing.

4 C ând se făcuse deja dimineaţă, Isus stătea pe ţărm. Ucenicii însă nu ştiau că este Isus.

Morning was already breaking when Jesus came to the beach and stood there. However, the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

5 E l le-a zis: – Copilaşi, nu aveţi ceva peşte de mâncare? – Nu! I-au răspuns ei.

So Jesus said to them, Boys (children), you do not have any meat (fish), do you? They answered Him, No!

6 E l le-a zis: – Aruncaţi năvodul în partea dreaptă a bărcii şi veţi găsi! L-au aruncat şi nu l-au mai putut trage din cauza mulţimii peştilor.

And He said to them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat and you will find. So they cast the net, and now they were not able to haul it in for such a big catch (mass, quantity) of fish.

7 A tunci ucenicul pe care-l iubea Isus i-a zis lui Petru: „Este Domnul!“ Auzind că este Domnul, Simon Petru şi-a pus haina pe el, pentru că era dezbrăcat, şi s-a aruncat în mare.

Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, It is the Lord! Simon Peter, hearing him say that it was the Lord, put (girded) on his upper garment (his fisherman’s coat, his outer tunic)—for he was stripped —and sprang into the sea.

8 C eilalţi ucenici au venit cu barca, trăgând năvodul cu peşti, căci nu era departe de ţărm, doar cam la două sute de coţi.

And the other disciples came in the small boat, for they were not far from shore, only some hundred yards away, dragging the net full of fish.

9 C ând au coborât pe uscat, au văzut un foc de cărbuni, peşte pus deasupra şi pâine.

When they got out on land (the beach), they saw a fire of coals there and fish lying on it, and bread.

10 I sus le-a zis: „Aduceţi din peştii pe care i-aţi prins acum!“

Jesus said to them, Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.

11 S imon Petru s-a suit în barcă şi a tras năvodul la ţărm, plin cu o sută cincizeci şi trei de peşti mari; însă, cu toate că erau atâţia, năvodul nu s-a rupt.

So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net to land, full of large fish, 153 of them; and there were so many of them, the net was not torn.

12 I sus le-a zis: „Veniţi şi luaţi micul dejun!“ Nici unul dintre ucenici nu îndrăznea să-L întrebe: „Tu Cine eşti?“, pentru că ştiau că este Domnul.

Jesus said to them, Come have breakfast. But none of the disciples ventured or dared to ask Him, Who are You? because they knew that it was the Lord.

13 I sus S-a apropiat, a luat pâinea şi le-a dat-o; la fel a făcut şi cu peştele.

Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so also the fish.

14 A ceasta era deja a treia oară când Isus li Se arăta ucenicilor Săi după ce fusese înviat dintre cei morţi. Isus şi Petru

This was now the third time that Jesus revealed Himself (appeared, was manifest) to the disciples after He had risen from the dead.

15 D upă ce au luat micul dejun, Isus l-a întrebat pe Simon Petru: – Simon, fiul lui Ioan, Mă iubeşti tu mai mult decât aceştia? El I-a răspuns: – Da, Doamne, Tu ştii că Te iubesc! Isus i-a zis: – Paşte mieii Mei!

When they had eaten, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these ? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him, Feed My lambs.

16 L -a întrebat din nou, a doua oară: – Simon, fiul lui Ioan, Mă iubeşti? El I-a răspuns: – Da, Doamne, Tu ştii că Te iubesc! Isus i-a zis: – Păstoreşte oile Mele!

Again He said to him the second time, Simon, son of John, do you love Me ? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him, Shepherd (tend) My sheep.

17 L -a întrebat a treia oară: – Simon, fiul lui Ioan, Mă iubeşti? Petru s-a întristat pentru că-i zisese a treia oară: „Mă iubeşti?“ şi I-a răspuns: – Doamne, Tu le ştii pe toate, Tu ştii că Te iubesc! Isus i-a zis: – Paşte oile Mele!

He said to him the third time, Simon, son of John, do you love Me ? Peter was grieved (was saddened and hurt) that He should ask him the third time, Do you love Me? And he said to Him, Lord, You know everything; You know that I love You. Jesus said to him, Feed My sheep.

18 A devărat, adevărat îţi spun că, atunci când erai mai tânăr, tu însuţi te încingeai şi te duceai unde voiai; însă când vei îmbătrâni, îţi vei întinde mâinile şi altcineva te va încinge şi te va duce unde nu vei voi!

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, when you were young you girded yourself and you walked about wherever you pleased to go. But when you grow old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will put a girdle around you and carry you where you do not wish to go.

19 A spus acestea ca să arate cu ce fel de moarte Îl va proslăvi Petru pe Dumnezeu. Apoi i-a zis: – Urmează-Mă! Isus şi ucenicul iubit

He said this to indicate by what kind of death Peter would glorify God. And after this, He said to him, Follow Me!

20 P etru s-a întors şi l-a văzut venind după ei pe ucenicul pe care-l iubea Isus, acela care la cină stătuse la masă la pieptul lui Isus şi-L întrebase: „Doamne, cine este cel ce Te va trăda?“

But Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved, following—the one who also had leaned back on His breast at the supper and had said, Lord, who is it that is going to betray You?

21 V ăzându-l, Petru L-a întrebat pe Isus: – Doamne, dar cu acesta ce va fi?

When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, Lord, what about this man?

22 I sus i-a răspuns: – Dacă vreau ca el să rămână până vin Eu, ce te priveşte pe tine?! Tu urmează-Mă!

Jesus said to him, If I want him to stay (survive, live) until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!

23 D in pricina aceasta a ieşit zvonul între fraţi că acel ucenic nu va muri. Dar Isus nu-i spusese că nu va muri, ci: „Dacă vreau ca el să rămână până vin Eu, ce te priveşte pe tine?!“

So word went out among the brethren that this disciple was not going to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not going to die, but, If I want him to stay (survive, live) till I come, what is that to you?

24 A cesta este ucenicul care depune mărturie cu privire la aceste lucruri şi care a scris aceste lucruri. Şi ştim că mărturia lui este adevărată.

It is this same disciple who is bearing witness to these things and who has recorded (written) them; and we know that his testimony is true.

25 M ai sunt multe alte lucruri pe care le-a făcut Isus, care, dacă ar fi fost scrise fiecare, cred că nici chiar în lumea aceasta n-ar fi încăput cărţile scrise.

And there are also many other things which Jesus did. If they should be all recorded one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain (have room for) the books that would be written.
