1 D upă aceea, Isus a călătorit prin fiecare cetate şi sat, predicând şi vestind Evanghelia Împărăţiei lui Dumnezeu. Împreună cu El erau cei doisprezece,

Soon afterward, went on through towns and villages, preaching and bringing the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God. And the Twelve were with Him,

2 p recum şi nişte femei care fuseseră vindecate de duhuri rele şi de neputinţe: Maria, numită Magdalena, din care ieşiseră şapte demoni,

And also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had been expelled;

3 I oana – soţia lui Cuza, administratorul lui Irod –, Suzana şi încă multe altele care Îl slujeau cu ceea ce aveau.

And Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s household manager; and Susanna; and many others, who ministered to and provided for Him and them out of their property and personal belongings.

4 C ând s-a adunat o mare mulţime şi au venit la El oameni de prin fiecare cetate, le-a vorbit prin următoarea pildă:

And when a very great throng was gathering together and people from town after town kept coming to Jesus, He said in a parable:

5 „ Semănătorul a ieşit să-şi semene sămânţa. În timp ce semăna el, o parte din sămânţă a căzut lângă drum şi a fost călcată în picioare şi au mâncat-o păsările cerului.

A sower went out to sow seed; and as he sowed, some fell along the traveled path and was trodden underfoot, and the birds of the air ate it up.

6 O altă parte a căzut pe stâncă şi cum a crescut, s-a uscat, pentru că nu avea umezeală.

And some fell on the rock, and as soon as it sprouted, it withered away because it had no moisture.

7 O altă parte a căzut în mijlocul spinilor, iar spinii au crescut împreună cu ea şi au sufocat-o.

And other fell in the midst of the thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it.

8 A lta însă a căzut pe pământ bun, a crescut şi a făcut rod însutit.“ După ce a spus aceste lucruri, Isus a strigat: „Cine are urechi de auzit, să audă!“

And some seed fell into good soil, and grew up and yielded a crop a hundred times. As He said these things, He called out, He who has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him consider and understand by hearing!

9 U cenicii Lui L-au întrebat ce înseamnă această pildă.

And when His disciples asked Him the meaning of this parable,

10 E l le-a răspuns: „Vouă v-a fost dat să cunoaşteţi tainele Împărăţiei lui Dumnezeu, dar celorlalţi le vorbesc în pilde, pentru ca «Să privească mereu, dar să nu vadă şi să asculte întruna, dar să nu înţeleagă!»

He said to them, To you it has been given to know (to recognize and understand more strongly and clearly) the mysteries and secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that, looking, they may not see; and hearing, they may not comprehend.

11 I ată ce înseamnă pilda: sămânţa este Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu.

Now the meaning of the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God.

12 S ămânţa de lângă drum sunt cei care aud Cuvântul, dar vine apoi diavolul şi ia Cuvântul din inima lor, ca nu cumva să creadă şi să fie mântuiţi.

Those along the traveled road are the people who have heard; then the devil comes and carries away the message out of their hearts, that they may not believe ( acknowledge Me as their Savior and devote themselves to Me) and be saved.

13 S ămânţa de pe stâncă sunt cei care, atunci când aud Cuvântul, îl primesc cu bucurie, dar aceştia nu au rădăcină; ei cred doar pentru o vreme, iar în perioadă de ispită, cad.

And those upon the rock who, when they hear, receive and welcome it with joy; but these have no root. They believe for a while, and in time of trial and temptation fall away (withdraw and stand aloof).

14 S ămânţa căzută între spini sunt cei care aud Cuvântul, dar, în timp ce îşi văd de drum, sunt sufocaţi de îngrijorările, bogăţiile şi plăcerile vieţii şi nu aduc rod copt.

And as for what fell among the thorns, these are who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked and suffocated with the anxieties and cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not ripen (come to maturity and perfection).

15 S ămânţa din pământul bun sunt cei care, atunci când aud Cuvântul, îl ţin într-o inimă onestă şi bună şi aduc rod cu răbdare. Felinarul pus pe un suport

But as for that in the good soil, these are who, hearing the Word, hold it fast in a just ( noble, virtuous) and worthy heart, and steadily bring forth fruit with patience.

16 N imeni nu aprinde un felinar ca să-l acopere cu un vas sau să-l pună sub pat, ci îl pune pe un suport, pentru ca cei ce intră, să vadă lumina.

No one after he has lighted a lamp covers it with a vessel or puts it under a couch; but he puts it on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.

17 C ăci nu este nimic ascuns care nu va fi dezvăluit şi nimic tăinuit care să nu fie făcut cunoscut şi care să nu iasă la iveală.

For there is nothing hidden that shall not be disclosed, nor anything secret that shall not be known and come out into the open.

18 L uaţi seama, deci, la felul cum ascultaţi, căci celui ce are i se va da, dar de la cel ce n-are se va lua chiar şi ceea ce i se pare că are!“ Mama şi fraţii lui Isus

Be careful therefore how you listen. For to him who has will more be given; and from him who does not have, even what he thinks and guesses and supposes that he has will be taken away.

19 A tunci mama şi fraţii Lui au venit la El, dar nu puteau ajunge la El din cauza mulţimii.

Then Jesus’ mother and His brothers came along toward Him, but they could not get to Him because of the crowd.

20 I s-a spus: – Mama şi fraţii Tăi stau afară şi doresc să Te vadă!

And it was told Him, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, desiring to have an interview with You.

21 D ar Isus le-a răspuns: – Mama Mea şi fraţii Mei sunt cei ce ascultă Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu şi-l împlinesc. Isus linişteşte furtuna

But He answered them, My mother and My brothers are those who listen to the Word of God and do it!

22 Î ntr-una din zile, Isus S-a suit în barcă împreună cu ucenicii Lui şi le-a zis: „Să traversăm în partea cealaltă a lacului!“ Şi au plecat.

One of those days He and His disciples got into a boat, and He said to them, Let us go across to the other side of the lake. So they put out to sea.

23 Î n timp ce ei vâsleau, Isus a adormit. Pe lac s-a stârnit o asemenea furtună, încât barca se umplea cu apă iar ei se aflau în pericol.

But as they were sailing, He fell off to sleep. And a whirlwind revolving from below upwards swept down on the lake, and the boat was filling with water, and they were in great danger.

24 A u venit la El, L-au trezit şi I-au zis: – Stăpâne, Stăpâne, pierim! El s-a sculat, a mustrat vântul şi valurile înfuriate, iar ele au încetat şi s-a făcut linişte.

And the disciples came and woke Him, saying, Master, Master, we are perishing! And He, being thoroughly awakened, censured and blamed and rebuked the wind and the raging waves; and they ceased, and there came a calm.

25 A poi i-a întrebat: – Unde vă este credinţa?! Ei s-au temut, au rămas uimiţi şi şi-au zis unii altora: „Cine este Acesta de porunceşte până şi vânturilor, şi apei şi ele Îl ascultă?!“ Isus vindecă un om stăpânit de demoni

And He said to them, Where is your faith (your trust, your confidence in Me—in My veracity and My integrity)? And they were seized with alarm and profound and reverent dread, and they marveled, saying to one another, Who then is this, that He commands even wind and sea, and they obey Him?

26 A u vâslit mai departe, înspre ţinutul gherasenilor, care se află în dreptul Galileii.

Then they came to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee.

27 C ând a coborât pe ţărm, I-a ieşit înainte un anumit om din cetate, care era stăpânit de demoni. De multă vreme nu purta haine şi nu locuia într-o casă, ci în morminte.

Now when Jesus stepped out on land, there met Him a certain man out of the town who had demons. For a long time he had worn no clothes, and he lived not in a house but in the tombs.

28 C ând L-a văzut pe Isus, a strigat, I s-a închinat şi a zis cu glas puternic: – Ce am eu de-a face cu Tine, Isuse, Fiu al Dumnezeului cel Preaînalt? Te rog să nu mă chinui!

And when he saw Jesus, he raised a deep (terrible) cry and fell down before Him and shouted loudly, What have You with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? '> What have we in common?] I beg You, do not torment me!

29 C ăci Isus îi poruncise duhului necurat să iasă din om. De multe ori acesta punea stăpânire pe el; fusese pus sub pază şi legat cu lanţuri şi cătuşe, dar rupea legăturile şi era dus de către demon în locuri pustii.

For Jesus was already commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For many times it had snatched and held him; he was kept under guard and bound with chains and fetters, but he would break the bonds and be driven by the demon into the wilderness (desert).

30 I sus l-a întrebat: – Care-ţi este numele? – „Legiune“, I-a răspuns el. Căci în el intraseră mai mulţi demoni.

Jesus then asked him, What is your name? And he answered, Legion; for many demons had entered him.

31 A ceştia îl rugau să nu le poruncească să se ducă în Adânc.

And they begged not to command them to depart into the Abyss (bottomless pit).

32 A colo, pe munte, era o turmă mare de porci care păşteau. Demonii L-au rugat să le dea voie să intre în porcii aceia, iar El le-a dat voie.

Now a great herd of swine was there feeding on the hillside; and begged Him to give them leave to enter these. And He allowed them.

33 D emonii au ieşit din om şi au intrat în porci. Atunci turma s-a repezit pe râpă în jos şi s-a înecat în lac.

Then the demons came out of the man and entered into the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep cliff into the lake and were drowned.

34 C ând porcarii au văzut ce s-a întâmplat, au fugit şi au dat de ştire în cetate şi în cătune.

When the herdsmen saw what had happened, they ran away and told it in the town and in the country.

35 O amenii au ieşit să vadă ce s-a întâmplat şi au venit la Isus. L-au găsit pe omul din care ieşiseră demonii, stând jos la picioarele lui Isus, îmbrăcat şi cu mintea întreagă şi s-au înspăimântat.

And went out to see what had occurred, and they came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right (sound) mind; and they were seized with alarm and fear.

36 C ei ce văzuseră cum fusese vindecat cel demonizat le-au povestit totul.

And those who had seen it told them how he who had been possessed with demons was restored.

37 A tunci toată mulţimea din ţinutul gherasenilor L-au rugat pe Isus să plece de la ei, pentru că îi cuprinsese o mare frică. El S-a urcat în barcă şi S-a întors.

Then all the people of the country surrounding the Gerasenes’ district asked to depart from them, for they were possessed and suffering with dread and terror; so He entered a boat and returned.

38 O mul din care ieşiseră demonii Îl rugase să-l lase să vină cu El, dar Isus l-a trimis înapoi, spunându-i:

But the man from whom the demons had gone out kept begging and praying that he might accompany Him and be with Him, but sent him away, saying,

39 „ Întoarce-te acasă şi povesteşte cât de mult a făcut Dumnezeu pentru tine!“ El a plecat şi a vestit prin toată cetatea cât de mult a făcut Isus pentru el. Vindecarea unei femei şi învierea unei fetiţe

Return to your home, and recount of how many and great things God has done for you. And departed, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.

40 C ând Isus S-a întors, mulţimea I-a urat bun venit, pentru că toţi Îl aşteptau.

Now when Jesus came back, the crowd received and welcomed Him gladly, for they were all waiting and looking for Him.

41 Ş i iată că un om, numit Iair, care era conducătorul sinagogii, a venit, a căzut la picioarele lui Isus şi L-a rugat să vină până la el acasă,

And there came a man named Jairus, who had '> long time] been a director of the synagogue; and falling at the feet of Jesus, he begged Him to come to his house,

42 p entru că singura lui fiică, în vârstă de vreo doisprezece ani, era pe moarte. În timp ce mergea, mulţimile se înghesuiau în jurul Lui.

For he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. As went, the people pressed together around Him.

43 O femeie, care de doisprezece ani avea o scurgere de sânge (şi care cheltuise pe la doctori tot ce avusese), fără să fi putut fi vindecată de cineva,

And a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years and had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed by anyone,

44 a venit prin spate şi s-a atins de marginea hainei lui Isus. Imediat scurgerea ei de sânge s-a oprit.

Came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment, and immediately her flow of blood ceased.

45 I sus a întrebat: – Cine M-a atins? Pentru că toţi negau, Petru I-a zis: – Stăpâne, mulţimile se înghesuie în jurul Tău şi se îmbulzesc în Tine, (şi mai întrebi: „Cine M-a atins?“!)

And Jesus said, Who is it who touched Me? When all were denying it, Peter and those who were with him said, Master, the multitudes surround You and press You on every side!

46 D ar Isus a zis: – M-a atins cineva, pentru că ştiu că a ieşit o putere din Mine!

But Jesus said, Someone did touch Me; for I perceived that power has gone forth from Me.

47 C ând femeia a văzut că n-a scăpat neobservată, a venit tremurând, a căzut înaintea Lui şi I-a spus, înaintea întregii mulţimi, de ce L-a atins şi cum fusese vindecată imediat.

And when the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came up trembling, and, falling down before Him, she declared in the presence of all the people for what reason she had touched Him and how she had been instantly cured.

48 E l i-a zis: „Fiică, credinţa ta te-a vindecat! Du-te în pace!“

And He said to her, Daughter, your faith (your confidence and trust in Me) has made you well! Go (enter) into peace ( untroubled, undisturbed well-being).

49 Î n timp ce El încă vorbea, a venit cineva din casa conducătorului sinagogii şi i-a zis acestuia: „Fetiţa ta a murit! Nu-L mai deranja pe Învăţător!“

While He was still speaking, a man from the house of the director of the synagogue came and said, Your daughter is dead; do not weary and trouble the Teacher any further.

50 I sus însă a auzit şi i-a zis lui Iair: „Nu te teme! Crede doar, şi ea va fi vindecată!“

But Jesus, on hearing this, answered him, Do not be seized with alarm or struck with fear; simply believe '> in Me as able to do this], and she shall be made well.

51 C ând a ajuns la casă, n-a lăsat pe nimeni să intre împreună cu El, în afară de Petru, de Ioan, de Iacov şi de tatăl şi mama copilului.

And when He came to the house, He permitted no one to enter with Him except Peter and John and James, and the girl’s father and mother.

52 T oţi plângeau şi o jeleau, însă Isus le-a zis: „Nu mai plângeţi, pentru că ea n-a murit, ci doarme!“

And all were weeping for and bewailing her; but He said, Do not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping.

53 E i însă râdeau de El, pentru că ştiau că fetiţa murise.

And they laughed Him to scorn, knowing full well that she was dead.

54 I sus, (după ce i-a scos afară pe toţi,) a luat-o pe fetiţă de mână şi a strigat: „Fetiţo, scoală-te!“

And grasping her hand, He called, saying, Child, arise '> from the sleep of death]!

55 D uhul ei s-a întors şi ea s-a ridicat imediat. Isus le-a poruncit să-i dea să mănânce.

And her spirit returned '> from death], and she arose immediately; and He directed that she should be given something to eat.

56 P ărinţii ei au rămas uimiţi. Isus le-a poruncit să nu spună nimănui ce s-a întâmplat.

And her parents were amazed, but He charged them to tell no one what had occurred.
