1 И Елиу продължи:

Elihu proceeded and said,

2 П отърпи ме малко и ще ти разкрия, защото имам още неща да ти кажа за Бога.

Bear with me and wait a little longer, and I will show you, for I have something still to say on God’s behalf.

3 Щ е черпя знанието си отдалеч и ще отдам правда на Създателя си;

I will bring my knowledge from afar and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

4 з ащото наистина думите ми няма да бъдат лъжливи; един, който е усъвършенстван в знание, стои пред теб.

For truly my words shall not be false; He Who is perfect in knowledge is with you.

5 Е то, макар Бог да е мощен, не презира никого - макар да е мощен в силата Си да разсъждава.

Behold! God is mighty, and yet despises no one nor regards anything as trivial; He is mighty in power of understanding and heart.

6 Т ой не запазва живота на нечестивия, а на сиромасите отдава правото.

He does not prolong the life of the wicked, but gives the needy and afflicted their right.

7 Н е оттегля очите Си от праведните, а даже ги слага и с царе да седят на престол завинаги и те биват повишени.

He withdraws not His eyes from the righteous (the upright in right standing with God); but He sets them forever with kings upon the throne, and they are exalted.

8 А ако са оковани във вериги и хванати с въжета на наскърбление,

And if they are bound in fetters and held by cords of affliction,

9 т огава им явява делата им и престъпленията им, че са се възгордели;

Then He shows to them their deeds and their transgressions, that they have acted arrogantly.

10 о тваря и ухото им за поука и заповядва да се отвърнат от беззаконието;

He also opens their ears to instruction and discipline, and commands that they return from iniquity.

11 и ако послушат и служат на Него, ще прекарат дните си в благополучие и годините си във веселия;

If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasantness and joy.

12 н о ако не послушат, ще загинат от меч и ще умрат без мъдрост.

But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die in ignorance of true knowledge.

13 А нечестивите по сърце хранят яд, не викат към Бога за помощ, когато ги връзва;

But the godless and profane in heart heap up anger; they do not cry to Him when He binds them.

14 т е умират в младост и животът им угасва между мръсните.

They die in youth, and their life perishes among the unclean (those who are sodomites).

15 Т ой избавя наскърбения чрез скръбта му и чрез бедствие отваря ушите им.

He delivers the afflicted in their affliction and opens their ears in adversity.

16 И така би извел и теб от утеснение в широко място, където няма теснота; и слаганото на трапезата ти би било пълно с тлъстина.

Indeed, God would have allured you out of the mouth of distress into a broad place where there is no situation of perplexity or privation; and that which would be set on your table would be full of fatness.

17 Н о ти си изпълнен с разсъжденията на нечестивия; затова съденето и правосъдието те хващат.

But if you are filled with the judgment of the wicked, judgment and justice will keep hold on you.

18 В нимавай да не би жегата на страданията ти да те повдигне против удара; тогава дори голям откуп не би те отървал.

For let not wrath entice you into scorning chastisements; and let not the greatness of the ransom turn you aside.

19 Щ е важи ли викането ти да те извади от бедствие или всичките напрежения на силата ти?

Will your cry be sufficient to keep you from distress, or will all the force of your strength do it?

20 Н е пожелавай нощта, когато народите изчезват от мястото си.

Desire not the night, when peoples are cut off from their places;

21 В нимавай! Не поглеждай беззаконието; защото ти си предпочел това повече от наскърблението. Химн на всесилната Божия мъдрост

Take heed, turn not to iniquity, for this you have chosen rather than affliction.

22 Е то, Бог е възвишен в силата Си; кой е господар като Него?

Behold, God exalts and does loftily in His power; who is a ruler or a teacher like Him?

23 К ой Му е предписал пътя Му? Или кой може да Му каже: Извършил си беззаконие?

Who has appointed God His way? Or who can say, You have done unrighteousness?

24 П омни да възвеличаваш Неговото дело, което хората възпяват,

Remember that you magnify God’s work, of which men have sung.

25 в което всички хора се взират, което човекът гледа отдалеч.

All men have looked upon God’s work; man may behold it afar off.

26 Е то, Бог е велик и ние не Го познаваме; броят на годините Му е неизследим.

Behold, God is great, and we know Him not! The number of His years is unsearchable.

27 Т ой привлича водните капки, които се събират в дъжд от па̀рите Му,

For He draws up the drops of water, which distil as rain from His vapor,

28 к оито облаците изливат и оросяват върху множество хора.

Which the skies pour down and drop abundantly upon mankind.

29 М оже ли даже някой да разбере как се разпростират облаците или се произвеждат гърмежите на скинията Му?

Not only that, but can anyone understand the spreadings of the clouds or the thunderings of His pavilion?

30 Е то, простира светлината Си около Себе Си и се покрива с морските дъна.

Behold, He spreads His lightning against the dark clouds and covers the roots of the sea.

31 ( Понеже чрез тези неща съди народите; дава храна изобилно.)

For by God executes judgment upon the peoples; He gives food in abundance.

32 П окрива ръцете Си със светкавицата и ѝ заповядва къде да удари;

He covers His hands with the lightning and commands it to strike the mark.

33 ш умът ѝ известява за това и добитъкът - за пламъка, който възлиза.

His thunderings speak concerning Him; the cattle are told of His coming storm.
