1 ( По слав. 90.) Който живее под покрива на Всевишния, той ще пребъдва под сянката на Всемогъщия.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 Щ е казвам за Господа: Той е прибежище мое и крепост моя, Бог мой, на Когото уповавам.

I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I trust!

3 З ащото Той ще те избавя от примката на ловеца и от гибелен мор.

For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

4 С перата Си ще те покрива; и под крилете Му ще се скриеш; Неговата вярност е щит и закрила.

He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.

5 Н яма да се боиш от нощен страх, от стрелата, която лети денем,

You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,

6 о т мор, който идва в тъмнина, от погибел, която опустошава сред пладне.

Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.

7 Х иляда души ще падат от страната ти и десет хиляди - до десницата ти, но при тебе няма да се приближи.

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.

8 С амо с очите си ще гледаш и ще видиш възмездието на нечестивите.

Only a spectator shall you be as you witness the reward of the wicked.

9 П онеже ти си казал: Господ е мое прибежище, и си направил Всевишния свое обиталище,

Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,

10 з атова няма да те сполети никакво зло, нито ще се приближи язва до шатъра ти.

There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.

11 З ащото ще заповяда на ангелите Си за тебе да те пазят във всичките ти пътища.

For He will give His angels charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways.

12 Н а ръце ще те вдигат, да не би да удариш о камък крака си.

They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

13 Щ е настъпиш лъв и аспида; ще стъпчеш млад лъв и змия.

You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot.

14 П онеже той е положил в Мене любовта си, казва Господ, затова ще го избавя; ще го поставя в безопасност, защото е познал името Ми.

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name.

15 Т ой ще Ме призове и Аз ще го послушам; с него ще съм, когато е в бедствие; ще го избавя и ще го прославя.

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

16 Щ е го наситя с дългоденствие и ще му покажа спасението, което върша.

With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.
