1 И Исус пак започна да им говори с притчи, като казваше:

And again Jesus spoke to them in parables (comparisons, stories used to illustrate and explain), saying,

2 Н ебесното царство прилича на цар, който направи сватба на сина си.

The kingdom of heaven is like a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son

3 Т ой разпрати слугите си да повикат поканените на сватбата; но те не искаха да дойдат.

And sent his servants to summon those who had been invited to the wedding banquet, but they refused to come.

4 П ак изпрати други слуги, като им каза: Кажете на поканените: Ето, приготвих обяда си; телетата ми и угоените животни са заклани и всичко е готово; елате на сватба.

Again he sent other servants, saying, Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have prepared my banquet; my bullocks and my fat calves are killed, and everything is prepared; come to the wedding feast.

5 Н о те пренебрегнаха поканата и си отидоха, всеки по своя път: един на своята нива, а друг на търговията си;

But they were not concerned and paid no attention and they went away—one to his farm, another to his business,

6 а останалите хванаха слугите му и безсрамно ги оскърбиха и убиха.

While the others seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and put them to death.

7 И царят се разгневи, изпрати войските си и погуби онези убийци, и изгори града им.

the king was infuriated; and he sent his soldiers and put those murderers to death and burned their city.

8 Т огава каза на слугите си: Сватбата е готова, но поканените не бяха достойни.

Then he said to his servants, The wedding is prepared, but those invited were not worthy.

9 З атова идете по кръстопътищата и колкото хора намерите, поканете ги на сватба.

So go to the thoroughfares where they leave the city and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.

10 И така, онези слуги излязоха по пътищата, събраха всички, които намериха - зли и добри; и сватбата се напълни с гости.

And those servants went out on the crossroads and got together as many as they found, both bad and good, so the wedding feast was filled with guests.

11 А царят, като влезе да прегледа гостите, видя там един човек, който не беше облечен в сватбарска дреха.

But when the king came in to view the guests, he looked intently at a man there who had on no wedding garment.

12 И му каза: Приятелю, ти как си влязъл тук, без да имаш сватбарска дреха? А той мълчеше.

And he said, Friend, how did you come in here without putting on the wedding garment? And he was speechless ( muzzled, gagged).

13 Т огава царят каза на служителите: Вържете му краката и ръцете и го хвърлете в тъмнината отвън; там ще бъде плач и скърцане със зъби.

Then the king said to the attendants, Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the darkness outside; there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

14 З ащото мнозина са поканени, а малцина са избрани. За плащането на данъка

For many are called (invited and summoned), but few are chosen.

15 Т огава фарисеите отидоха и се съветваха как да Го уловят в казаното от Него.

Then the Pharisees went and consulted and plotted together how they might entangle Jesus in His talk.

16 И пратиха при Него учениците си, заедно с иродианите, да кажат: Учителю, знаем, че си искрен, учиш в истина Божия път и не Те е грижа от никого, защото не гледаш на лицето на човеците.

And they sent their disciples to Him along with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that You are sincere and what You profess to be and that You teach the way of God truthfully, regardless of consequences and being afraid of no man; for You are impartial and do not regard either the person or the position of anyone.

17 З атова, кажи ни: Ти как мислиш? Правилно ли е да даваме данък на Цезаря или не?

Tell us then what You think about this: Is it lawful to pay tribute to Caesar or not?

18 А Исус разбра лукавщината им и каза: Защо Ме изпитвате, лицемери?

But Jesus, aware of their malicious plot, asked, Why do you put Me to the test and try to entrap Me, you pretenders (hypocrites)?

19 П окажете ми данъчната монета. И те Му донесоха един пеняз.

Show me the money used for the tribute. And they brought Him a denarius.

20 Т ой ги попита: Чий е този образ и надпис?

And Jesus said to them, Whose likeness and title are these?

21 К азаха Му: На Цезаря. Тогава им каза: Като е така, отдавайте цезаревото на Цезаря, а Божието на Бога.

They said, Caesar’s. Then He said to them, Pay therefore to Caesar the things that are due to Caesar, and pay to God the things that are due to God.

22 И като чуха това, те се учудиха и като Го оставиха, си отидоха. За възкресението на мъртвите

When they heard it they were amazed and marveled; and they left Him and departed.

23 В същия ден дойдоха при Него садукеи, които казват, че няма възкресение, и Го попитаха:

The same day some Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection, came to Him and they asked Him a question,

24 У чителю, Моисей е казал: Ако някой умре бездетен, брат му да се ожени за жена му и да създаде потомство на брат си.

Saying, Teacher, Moses said, If a man dies, leaving no children, his brother shall marry the widow and raise up a family for his brother.

25 А между нас имаше седем братя; и първият се ожени и умря; и като нямаше потомство, остави жена си на брат си;

Now there were seven brothers among us; the first married and died, and, having no children, left his wife to his brother.

26 с ъщо и вторият, и третият до седмия.

The second also died childless, and the third, down to the seventh.

27 А след всички тях умря и жената.

Last of all, the woman died also.

28 И така, при възкресението на кого от седмината ще бъде жена, защото те всички я имаха?

Now, in the resurrection, to which of the seven will she be wife? For they all had her.

29 А Исус им отговори: Заблуждавате се, като не знаете Писанията, нито Божията сила.

But Jesus replied to them, You are wrong because you know neither the Scriptures nor God’s power.

30 З ащото при възкресението нито се женят, нито се омъжват, но са като Божии ангели на небето.

For in the resurrected state neither do marry nor are given in marriage, but they are like the angels in heaven.

31 А за възкресението на мъртвите не сте ли чели онова, което Бог ви говори:

But as to the resurrection of the dead—have you never read what was said to you by God,

32 " Аз съм Бог Авраамов, Бог Исааков и Бог Яковов"? Той не е Бог на мъртвите, а на живите.

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living!

33 И множеството, като чу това, се чудеше на учението Му. Най-голямата заповед

And when the throng heard it, they were astonished and filled with '> glad] amazement at His teaching.

34 А фарисеите, като чуха, че затворил устата на садукеите, събраха се заедно.

Now when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced ( muzzled) the Sadducees, they gathered together.

35 И един от тях, законник, за да Го изпита, Му зададе въпроса:

And one of their number, a lawyer, asked Him a question to test Him.

36 У чителю, коя е най-голямата заповед в закона?

Teacher, which kind of commandment is great and important (the principal kind) in the Law?

37 А Той му каза: "Да възлюбиш Господа, твоя Бог, с цялото си сърце, с цялата си душа и с всичкия си ум."

And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect).

38 Т ова е най-голямата и първа заповед.

This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment.

39 А втора, подобна на нея, е тази: "Да възлюбиш ближния си, както себе си."

And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

40 Н а тези две заповеди се крепят целият закон и пророците. Исус Христос и Давид

These two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets.

41 И когато бяха събрани фарисеите, Исус ги попита:

Now while the Pharisees were still assembled there, Jesus asked them a question,

42 К акво мислите за Христос? Чий Син е? Казаха Му: На Давид.

Saying, What do you think of the Christ? Whose Son is He? They said to Him, The Son of David.

43 К аза им: Тогава как Давид чрез Духа Го нарича Господ, като казва:

He said to them, How is it then that David, under the influence of the Spirit, calls Him Lord, saying,

44 " Каза Господ на моя Господ: Седи отдясно на Мене, докато положа враговете Ти под краката Ти"?

The Lord said to My Lord, Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet?

45 И така, ако Давид го нарича Господ, как тогава Той е негов син?

If then David thus calls Him Lord, how is He his Son?

46 И никой не можеше да Му отговори нито дума; нито пък дръзна вече някой от този ден да Му задава въпроси.

And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day did anyone venture or dare to question Him.
