1 Б лагодарите Господа, потому что Он благ, и милость Его навеки!

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

2 П усть скажут это избавленные Им, те, кого Он избавил от руки врага

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has delivered from the hand of the adversary,

3 и собрал из разных земель – с востока, с запада, с севера и с юга.

And gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the Sea in the south.

4 Б луждали они в пустыне по безлюдным дорогам и не нашли города, в котором могли бы поселиться.

Some wandered in the wilderness in a solitary desert track; they found no city for habitation.

5 О ни голодали и жаждали, и томилась их душа.

Hungry and thirsty, they fainted; their lives were near to being extinguished.

6 Н о воззвали они к Господу в своем несчастье, и Он освободил их от бедствий.

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.

7 П овел их прямым путем в город, где они могли поселиться.

He led them forth by the straight and right way, that they might go to a city where they could establish their homes.

8 Д а славят Господа за Его милость и за Его чудесные дела для людей,

Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!

9 в едь Он утолил душу жаждущую и душу голодную насытил благами.

For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with good.

10 О ни сидели во тьме и в тени смерти, окованные бедствием и железом,

Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and in irons,

11 п отому что восстали против слов Божьих и пренебрегли советом Всевышнего.

Because they had rebelled against the words of God and spurned the counsel of the Most High.

12 П оэтому Он смирил их сердце тяжелым трудом; они падали, и некому было помочь.

Therefore He bowed down their hearts with hard labor; they stumbled and fell down, and there was none to help.

13 Т огда воззвали они к Господу в несчастье своем, и Он спас их от бедствий.

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.

14 В ывел их из темноты и из тени смерти, сломав их оковы.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke apart the bonds that held them.

15 Д а славят Господа за Его милость и за Его чудесные дела для людей,

Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!

16 в едь Он сокрушил бронзовые ворота и сломал железные засовы.

For He has broken the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron apart.

17 Б езрассудные страдали за свои грехи и за свое беззаконие.

Some are fools because of the way of their transgressions and are afflicted because of their iniquities.

18 О т всякой пищи отвращалась их душа, и они приближались к воротам смерти.

They loathe every kind of food, and they draw near to the gates of death.

19 Т огда воззвали они к Господу в своем несчастье, и Он спас их от бедствий.

Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivers them out of their distresses.

20 П ослал Свое слово и излечил их, избавил их от гибели.

He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.

21 Д а славят Господа за Его милость и за Его чудесные дела для сынов человеческих;

Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!

22 д а приносят Ему жертвы благодарения и возвещают о Его делах с радостью.

And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving and rehearse His deeds with shouts of joy and singing!

23 Х одящие на судах в море, трудящиеся в больших водах

Some go down to the sea and travel over it in ships to do business in great waters;

24 в идели и они дела Господа, Его чудеса в глубинах.

These see the works of the Lord and His wonders in the deep.

25 О н говорил, и восстал штормовой ветер, поднимая высокие волны.

For He commands and raises up the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of the sea.

26 К орабли восходили до небес и низвергались в бездну; душа моряков таяла в бедствии.

mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the deeps; their courage melts away because of their plight.

27 О ни кружились и шатались, как пьяные, и вся мудрость их исчезла.

They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits’ end.

28 Н о воззвали они к Господу в своем несчастье, и Он вывел их из бедствий.

Then they cry to the Lord in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses.

29 О н превратил бурю в штиль, и умолкали морские волны.

He hushes the storm to a calm and to a gentle whisper, so that the waves of the sea are still.

30 О брадовались люди, что волны утихли, и привел Он их к желаемой гавани.

Then the men are glad because of the calm, and He brings them to their desired haven.

31 Д а славят Господа за Его милость и за Его чудесные дела для людей;

Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men!

32 д а превозносят Его в народном собрании и хвалят Его в кругу старейшин.

Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the company of the elders.

33 О н превращает реки в пустыню и источники вод – в сушу,

He turns rivers into a wilderness, water springs into a thirsty ground,

34 п лодородную землю – в солончак за нечестие живущих на ней.

A fruitful land into a barren, salt waste, because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

35 И Он превращает пустыню в озеро и иссохшую землю – в источники вод.

He turns a wilderness into a pool of water and a dry ground into water springs;

36 О н поселяет в ней голодных, чтобы они построили город для обитания,

And there He makes the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation,

37 з асевают поля и насаждают виноградники, которые приносят обильные плоды.

And sow fields, and plant vineyards which yield fruits of increase.

38 О н благословляет их, и они весьма размножаются; не позволяет Он их стадам уменьшаться.

He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and allows not their cattle to decrease.

39 Н о когда народ убывает, когда он унижен из-за угнетения, бедствия и скорби,

When they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow,

40 т огда Он изливает презрение на вождей и заставляет их блуждать в пустыне, где нет путей.

He pours contempt upon princes and causes them to wander in waste places where there is no road.

41 Б едного же Он возвышает из нищеты и умножает его род, как стадо овец.

Yet He raises the poor and needy from affliction and makes their families like a flock.

42 П раведники видят это и радуются, а нечестивые закрывают свои уста.

The upright shall see it and be glad, but all iniquity shall shut its mouth.

43 К то мудр, да уразумеет все это и поймет милость Господа.

Whoso is wise will observe and heed these things; and they will diligently consider the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord.
