1 Я вновь поднял глаза и вижу: предо мною летит свиток.

Again I lifted up my eyes and behold, I saw a scroll flying or floating in the air!

2 О н спросил меня: – Что ты видишь? Я ответил: – Я вижу летящий свиток, двадцать локтей в длину и десять в ширину.

And the angel said to me, What do you see? And I answered, I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits or thirty feet and its breadth is ten cubits or fifteen feet.

3 О н сказал мне: – Это проклятие, которое надвигается на всю землю. Как написано на одной стороне, всякий вор будет искоренен, и как написано на другой, будет искоренен всякий, нарушающий клятву.

Then he said to me, This is the curse that goes out over the face of the whole land; for everyone who steals shall be cut off from henceforth according to it, and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off from henceforth according to it.

4 Г осподь Cил возвещает: «Я наведу это проклятие, и оно войдет в дом вора и в дом того, кто ложно клянется Моим Именем. Оно поселится в его доме и уничтожит его – и дерево, и камни». Седьмое видение: женщина в корзине

I will bring forth, says the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief and into the house of him who swears falsely by My name; and it shall abide in the midst of his house and shall consume it, both its timber and its stones.

5 П отом Ангел, говоривший со мной, двинулся вперед и сказал мне: – Подними глаза и посмотри, что ты видишь?

Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that goes forth.

6 Я спросил: – Что это? Он ответил: – Это выходит мерная корзина, – и добавил: – Она – грех жителей всей земли.

And I said, What is it? And he said, This that goes forth is an ephah. This, he continued, is the symbol of the sinners mentioned above and is the resemblance of their iniquity throughout the whole land.

7 С винцовая крышка поднялась, и вот: в корзине сидит женщина.

And behold, a round, flat weight of lead was lifted and there sat a woman in the midst of the ephah.

8 О н сказал: – Это беззаконие. И бросил ее обратно в корзину, и закрыл свинцовой крышкой.

And he said, This is lawlessness (wickedness)! And he thrust her back into the ephah and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth of it!

9 Я поднял глаза и вижу: предо мной явились две женщины, и ветер был у них в крыльях. Крылья у них были, как у аиста, и они подняли корзину между небом и землей.

Then lifted I up my eyes and looked, and behold, there were two women coming forward! The wind was in their wings, for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

10 – Куда они несут корзину? – спросил я у Ангела, Который говорил со мной.

Then said I to the angel who talked with me, Where are they taking the ephah?

11 – В Шинар, чтобы там построить ей дом. Когда он будет готов, корзину поставят там на место, – ответил Он.

And he said to me, To the land of Shinar to build it a house, and when it is finished, to set up the ephah there upon its own base.
