1 В десятом году, в двенадцатый день десятого месяца было ко мне слово Господа:

In the tenth year, in the tenth, on the twelfth of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

2 – Сын человеческий, обрати лицо к фараону, царю Египта, и пророчествуй против него и против всего Египта.

Son of man, set your face toward Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.

3 Г овори с ним и скажи: Так говорит Владыка Господь: Я твой враг, фараон, царь Египта, чудовищный крокодил, что в реках своих разлегся. «Нил мой, – говоришь ты, – я для себя его создал».

Say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lies in the midst of his streams, declaring, My river Nile is my own and I have made it for myself.

4 Я продену крюк в твои челюсти, и рыбу из рек твоих приклею к твоей чешуе. Я тебя вытащу из твоих рек с рыбой, прилипшей к твоей чешуе.

But I will put hooks in your jaws and I will cause the fish of your rivers to stick to your scales, and I will draw you up out of the midst of your streams with all the fish of your streams which stick to your scales.

5 Я брошу тебя в пустыню, – тебя и рыбу из твоих рек. Ты упадешь в открытом поле – не подберут тебя, не поднимут. Я отдам тебя в пищу земному зверью и небесным птицам.

And I will cast you forth into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers; you shall fall upon the open field and not be gathered up or buried. I have given you for food to the beasts of the earth and the birds of the heavens.

6 Т огда все жители Египта узнают, что Я – Господь. Ты был посохом из тростника для дома Израиля.

And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord, because they have been a staff reeds to the house of Israel.

7 К огда они брались за тебя, ты расщеплялся и ранил им плечи; когда они опирались на тебя, ты ломался, и их ноги теряли устойчивость.

When they grasped you with the hand and leaned upon you, you broke and tore their whole shoulder, and they could do no more than stand.

8 П оэтому так говорит Владыка Господь: – Я наведу на тебя меч и истреблю твоих жителей и их скот.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will bring a sword upon you and cut off man and beast from you,

9 Е гипет станет безлюдной пустыней. Тогда они узнают, что Я – Господь. За то, что ты сказал: «Нил – мой; это я его создал»,

And the land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste. And they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord. Because you have said, The river is mine and I have made it,

10 – Я – твой враг и враг твоих рек. Я сделаю землю Египта мертвой пустыней от Мигдола до Сиены, до самой границы с Кушем.

Behold therefore, I am against you and against your streams, and I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation from Migdol to Syene, even as far as the border of Ethiopia.

11 Н е будет ступать по ней ни нога человека, ни нога животного; она будет необитаемой сорок лет.

No foot of man shall pass through it, no foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall be inhabited for forty years.

12 Я сделаю землю Египта пустыней среди опустошенных земель, и ее города будут безлюдными среди опустевших городов сорок лет. Я рассею египтян между другими народами и развею их по чужим землям.

And I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of desolated (plundered and reduced to subjection) countries, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be a desolation forty years. I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and will disperse them through the countries.

13 В едь так говорит Владыка Господь: – По прошествии сорока лет Я соберу египтян из народов, среди которых они были рассеяны.

Yet thus says the Lord God: At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they were scattered,

14 Я восстановлю и возвращу их в Верхний Египет, землю их предков. Они будут там слабым царством,

And I will reverse the captivity of Egypt and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, the land of their origin, and they shall be there a lowly kingdom.

15 с амым слабым из царств, и никогда впредь не возвысятся над другими народами. Я так ослаблю их, что они не смогут впредь править народами.

It shall be the lowliest of the kingdoms, neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations; I will diminish so they shall never again rule over the nations.

16 Е гипет больше не будет опорой для дома Израиля; он будет напоминанием людям о грехе, который они совершили, обращаясь к нему за помощью. Тогда они узнают, что Я – Владыка Господь». Завоевание Египта Вавилоном

And never again shall Egypt have the confidence and be the reliance of the house of Israel; their iniquity will be brought to remembrance whenever looks toward them. They shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord God.

17 В двадцать седьмом году, в первый день первого месяца было ко мне слово Господне:

In the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

18 – Сын человеческий, Навуходоносор, царь Вавилона, заставил свое войско немало потрудиться под Тиром: все головы оплешивели, все плечи натерты от непосильного труда. Но ни он, ни войско ничего не получили от Тира в уплату за труды.

Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to render heavy service against Tyre; every head became bald and every shoulder was worn and peeled. Yet he had no remuneration from Tyre, either for himself or his army, for the work that he had done against it.

19 П оэтому так говорит Владыка Господь: Я отдам Навуходоносору, царю Вавилона, землю Египта, и он захватит ее богатства. Он оберет и разграбит ее, чтобы заплатить войску.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall carry off her great mass of people and of things (her riches) and take her spoil and take her prey, and it shall be the wages for his army.

20 Я отдаю ему Египет в награду за труды, потому что он и его войско трудились для Меня, – возвещает Владыка Господь. –

I have given him the land of Egypt for his labor with which he served because they did it for Me, says the Lord God.

21 В тот день Я выращу рог дому Израиля и открою среди них твои уста. Тогда они узнают, что Я – Господь.

In that day will I cause a horn to spring forth to the house of Israel and I will open your lips among them, and they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord.
