1 П осле этого Иисус ходил по Галилее. В Иудею Он не шел, так как иудеи хотели убить Его.

After this, Jesus went from place to place in Galilee, for He would not travel in Judea because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.

2 К огда приближался иудейский праздник Шалашей,

Now the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was drawing near.

3 б ратья Иисуса сказали Ему: – Не оставайся здесь, иди в Иудею, чтобы и Твои ученики увидели чудеса, которые Ты совершаешь.

So His brothers said to Him, Leave here and go into Judea, so that Your disciples may also see the works that You do.

4 В едь никто, стремящийся к известности, не действует втайне. Если Ты делаешь такое, покажи Себя миру.

For no one does anything in secret when he wishes to be conspicuous and secure publicity. If You do these things, show Yourself openly and make Yourself known to the world!

5 Д аже Его братья не верили Ему.

For His brothers did not believe in or adhere to or trust in or rely on Him either.

6 И исус сказал им: – Мое время еще не подошло, для вас же подходит любое время.

Whereupon Jesus said to them, My time (opportunity) has not come yet; but any time is suitable for you and your opportunity is ready any time.

7 В ас мир не может ненавидеть, Меня же он ненавидит, потому что Я свидетельствую о том, что его дела злы.

The world cannot hate you, but it does hate Me because I denounce it for its wicked works and reveal that its doings are evil.

8 И дите на праздник, Я же пока не пойду, потому что Мое время еще не подошло.

Go to the Feast yourselves. I am not going up to the Festival, because My time is not ripe.

9 И Иисус остался в Галилее. Иисус открыто проповедует в храме

Having said these things to them, He stayed behind in Galilee.

10 Н о когда Его братья пошли на праздник, Он тоже пошел, только не открыто, а так, чтобы никто не знал.

But afterward, when His brothers had gone up to the Feast, He went up also, not publicly, but by Himself quietly and as if He did not wish to be observed.

11 Н а празднике иудеи искали Его и спрашивали: – Где Он?

Therefore the Jews kept looking for Him at the Feast and asking, Where can He be?

12 В народе об Иисусе шло много разговоров. Некоторые говорили, что Он хороший Человек, другие – что Он обманывает народ.

And there was among the mass of the people much whispered discussion and hot disputing about Him. Some were saying, He is good! Others said, No, He misleads and deceives the people!

13 О днако открыто никто о Нем ничего не говорил из страха перед иудеями.

But no one dared speak out boldly about Him for fear of the Jews.

14 П ервая половина праздника уже прошла, когда Иисус пришел в храм и стал учить.

When the Feast was already half over, Jesus went up into the temple '> court] and began to teach.

15 И удеи удивлялись и спрашивали: – Откуда у Него такая ученость, ведь Он нигде не учился?

The Jews were astonished. They said, How is it that this Man has learning when He has never studied?

16 И исус ответил: – Учение Мое не от Меня, но от Того, Кто послал Меня.

Jesus answered them by saying, My teaching is not My own, but His Who sent Me.

17 И кто действительно хочет исполнять волю Бога, тот узнает, от Бога Мое учение или же Я говорю Сам от Себя.

If any man desires to do His will (God’s pleasure), he will know (have the needed illumination to recognize, and can tell for himself) whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking from Myself and of My own accord and on My own authority.

18 Т от, кто говорит от себя, ищет славы самому себе, Тот же, Кто ищет славы Пославшему Его, честен, и лжи нет в Нем.

He who speaks on his own authority seeks to win honor for himself. But He Who seeks the glory and is eager for the honor of Him Who sent Him, He is true; and there is no unrighteousness or falsehood or deception in Him.

19 Р азве Моисей не дал вам Закон? Однако ни один из вас не соблюдает Закона. Зачем вы хотите убить Меня?

Did not Moses give you the Law? And yet not one of you keeps the Law. why do you seek to kill Me ?

20 – Да Ты не одержим ли! Кто хочет Тебя убить? – отвечал народ.

The crowd answered Him, You are possessed by a demon! Who seeks to kill You?

21 И исус сказал: – Я совершил лишь одно дело, и вы так удивляетесь.

Jesus answered them, I did one work, and you all are astounded.

22 М оисей дал вам обрезание (хотя, конечно, обрезание идет не от Моисея, а от праотцев), и вы обрезаете детей даже в субботу.

Now Moses established circumcision among you—though it did not originate with Moses but with the previous patriarchs—and you circumcise a person on the Sabbath day.

23 Т ак если человек может быть обрезан в субботу ради того, чтобы не был нарушен Закон Моисея, то почему вы злы на Меня за то, что Я исцелил всего человека в субботу?

If, to avoid breaking the Law of Moses, a person undergoes circumcision on the Sabbath day, have you any cause to be angry with (indignant with, bitter against) Me for making a man’s whole body well on the Sabbath?

24 С удите не по виду, а по справедливости.

Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously.

25 В это время некоторые жители Иерусалима стали спрашивать: – Не Тот ли это, Которого хотят убить?

Then some of the Jerusalem people said, Is not this the Man they seek to kill?

26 В от же Он открыто говорит перед народом, и Ему не запрещают. Может, начальники достоверно узнали, что Он Христос?

And here He is speaking openly, and they say nothing to Him! Can it be possible that the rulers have discovered and know that this is truly the Christ?

27 Н о мы знаем, откуда Он, а когда придет Христос, то никто не будет знать, откуда Он пришел.

No, we know where this Man comes from; when the Christ arrives, no one is to know from what place He comes.

28 Т огда Иисус, Который продолжал учить в храме, громко возгласил: – Так вы Меня знаете?! И вы даже знаете откуда Я?! Ведь Я не Сам от Себя пришел. И верен Тот, Кто послал Меня, но вы Его не знаете.

Whereupon Jesus called out as He taught in the temple '> porches], Do you know Me, and do you know where I am from? I have not come on My own authority and of My own accord and as self-appointed, but the One Who sent Me is true (real, genuine, steadfast); and Him you do not know!

29 Я же знаю Его, потому что Я от Него пришел и потому что Он послал Меня!

I know Him because I come from His presence, and it was He Who sent Me.

30 О ни хотели схватить Иисуса, но никто не поднял на Него руки, потому что Его время еще не настало.

Therefore they were eager to arrest Him, but no one laid a hand on Him, for His hour (time) had not yet come.

31 М ногие же из толпы поверили в Него. Они говорили: – Неужели когда придет Христос, Он совершит больше знамений, чем Этот Человек ? Религиозные вожди пытаются арестовать Иисуса

And besides, many of the multitude believed in Him. And they kept saying, When the Christ comes, will He do more miracles and produce more proofs and signs than what this Man has done?

32 Ф арисеи услышали, что говорят об Иисусе в толпе, и поэтому первосвященники и фарисеи послали храмовую стражу, чтобы арестовать Его.

The Pharisees learned how the people were saying these things about Him under their breath; and the chief priests and Pharisees sent attendants (guards) to arrest Him.

33 И исус сказал: – Еще не долго Мне быть с вами, и потом Я возвращусь к Пославшему Меня.

Therefore Jesus said, For a little while I am with you, and then I go back to Him Who sent Me.

34 В ы будете искать Меня, но не найдете, и туда, где Я буду, вы прийти не сможете.

You will look for Me, but you will not find Me; where I am, you cannot come.

35 И удеи, бывшие там, стали спрашивать друг друга: – Куда это Он собирается идти, что мы не сможем прийти туда? Может, Он намерен пойти туда, где наш народ живет рассеянным среди греков, чтобы учить греков?

Then the Jews said among themselves, Where does this Man intend to go that we shall not find Him? Will He go to the Jews who are scattered in the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?

36 Ч то Он имел в виду, когда говорил: «Вы будете искать Меня, но не найдете» и «Туда, где Я буду, вы прийти не сможете»?

What does this statement of His mean, You will look for Me and not be able to find Me, and, Where I am, you cannot come?

37 В последний и самый торжественный день праздника Иисус встал и громко возгласил: – Кто хочет пить, пусть приходит ко Мне и пьет.

Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!

38 К то верит в Меня, как говорит Писание, у того из сердца потекут реки живой воды.

He who believes in Me as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow springs and rivers of living water.

39 И исус имел в виду Духа, Которого поверившие в Него должны были позже получить. Дух еще не был дан верующим, так как Иисус еще не был прославлен.

But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith) in Him were afterward to receive. For the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor).

40 Н екоторые люди в толпе, услышав слова Иисуса, сказали: – Он действительно Тот Самый Пророк!

Listening to those words, some of the multitude said, This is certainly and beyond doubt the Prophet!

41 Д ругие говорили: – Он – Христос! Третьи говорили: – Разве из Галилеи Христос придет?

Others said, This is the Christ (the Messiah, Anointed One)! But some said, What? Does the Christ come out of Galilee?

42 Р азве не сказано в Писании, что Христос будет из рода Давида и из Вифлеема, того селения, откуда был Давид?

Does not the Scripture tell us that the Christ will come from the offspring of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David lived?

43 Н арод разделился во мнениях об Иисусе.

So there arose a division and dissension among the people concerning Him.

44 Н екоторые хотели схватить Его, но никто не поднял на Иисуса руки. Неверие иудейских начальников

Some of them wanted to arrest Him, but no one laid hands on Him.

45 К огда стражники храма возвратились к первосвященникам и фарисеям, те спросили их: – Почему вы не привели Его?

Meanwhile the attendants (guards) had gone back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, Why have you not brought Him here with you?

46 С тражники ответили: – Никто еще так не говорил, как Этот Человек.

The attendants replied, Never has a man talked as this Man talks!

47 – Он что, и вас тоже обманул? – спросили фарисеи.

The Pharisees said to them, Are you also deluded and led astray?

48 – Разве хоть один из начальников или из фарисеев Ему поверил?

Has any of the authorities or of the Pharisees believed in Him?

49 А что эта толпа понимает в Законе? Эти люди прокляты.

As for this multitude (rabble) that does not know the Law, they are contemptible and doomed and accursed!

50 Н икодим, один из фарисеев, который как-то раньше приходил к Иисусу, спросил:

Then Nicodemus, who came to Jesus before at night and was one of them, asked,

51 – Разве наш Закон дает право судить человека, не выслушав его вначале и не узнав, что он делает?

Does our Law convict a man without giving him a hearing and finding out what he has done?

52 О ни ответили: – Ты что, тоже из Галилеи? Посмотри в Писании, и ты увидишь, что ни один пророк из Галилеи не приходит.

They answered him, Are you too from Galilee? Search, and you will see that no prophet comes (will rise to prominence) from Galilee.

53 П осле этого все разошлись по домам.

And they went, each to his own house.
